I think the floor is still dirty after because there’s two issues I see in your technique. I was thinking the same thing but, once you mop and have a dirty mop, you wring it out, release the valve, grab fresh water with the dirty mop, wring that out, and then go back to the fresh water and mop again. Secondly, you have to mop up the dirty water on the floor. It’s still there. You have to get a clean mop with the fresh water and wring it out until dry, then go back over the area to absorb the dirt. The first pass is to loosen. The way you did it pushes the dirt around and picks up some of the dirt. I recommend using a spray bottle to get solution down. Then use a broom brush to agitate the floor. Then use the mop in the method above to absorb the dirty water on the floor.
Absolutely brutal product that I purchased. How does anyone think putting a dirty mop head back into clean water makes the mop clean. You are now spreading dirty water back onto floor. I thought i was missing a sequence but now realizing that this is how it was made and its a flaw. There is no way this product should be on the market. There should be a recall on this product and figure it out or give everyone their money back.
So on point! So what product do you use then for mopping? I am so tired of the same things putting the dirty mop into clean water and then making the whole water dirty 🤦🏻♀️
I watched many videos and read reviews before I bought mine and most people recommended using a few drops of Dawn and a little white vinegar. I did this and put a cap full of Fabulosa in for a nice scent. It works wonderfully. And I do not use boiling water because sooner or later I'll get burned with it and don't want to take a chance. My tap water gets very hot and that works fine with using a funnel to pour it in. Boiling water on some floors will actually damage them especially hardwood floors. I had my own commercial/residential cleaning business for 10 years and I wish I'd had this product back then. I think it's better than anything else I've ever tried and I think I tried everything available including all the Swiffer wetjets and electric steam cleaners. The price, the user friendly design and how clean it gets my floors with six cats and a husband who never learned to wipe his feet, I'm very pleased with the results.
What’s your problem? People have pets! We want our homes clean just like people with kids. Kids dirty up homes just as any animal would so why shouldn’t people expect a mop to keep up with a home, kids, pets, or not? That’s what a mop is supposed to do. If it can’t keep up, then it’s not the mop for most people.
Please be VERY careful with Essential oils!! There are certain ones that are detrimental to cats and dogs. just because its natural doesnt mean it cannot be toxic to their systems.
Absolutely essential oils can be toxic to pets and as well it will melt plastic, and hot water is also not recommended for for plastic as it will crack and break., Even in those portable clothes washers.
Yes! I would not use essential oils anywhere your pup can get to as they are toxic to animals. If your dog licks the floor try putting ice cubes in his water. He might be craving the cool if he’s too warm.
My sisters swear by this product. One of my sisters sent me the items for the feet and I put them on my hands and used them to clean the dust from my television, blinds, baseboards, and monitor screens. They both laughed when I found out it was for my feet, but hey it is great. I received the O-Cedar as a gift from them, and I like it.
Thanks for making videos like this it is very helpful and much appreciated!!! Just wanted to give you a little tip if you or anyone wants to utilize the mop and the clean water better. Close the tab where the clean water comes out after each use or you are contaminating the water with dirty water and also using more water than needed. If you want the mop more wet then don’t spin as much. That one should help with not having to refill the water as often. What I do is put the amount of water I need then close the clean water lever, spin and mop. After moping put it back in the spinner first to get out the rest of the dirty water in the mop head then dunk it in the clean water, spin and repeat. I hope this info helps. It might be a little extra for some but the is the best way to ensure clean floors and not have to use as much water. Have a blessed day ❤
Nice to see the review, keep it up. Ok I'm a guy from the "old school". I actually bought this mop system also. I like it for certain things. For small bathrooms I think it's great. For small areas and cleaning up localized messes it's great. For total real clean I have the old school yellow bucket on wheels janitor style with press wringer attachment. Ones you see in commercial settings.
I use a different O Cedar mop that I love and I have had it for a few years now. It does a wonderful job. As they say if it ain't broke don't fix it. I live in a small apartment and storage of that big bucket would take up space I don't want to use for a bucket LOL. Thanks for the review.
I bought one of those thinking it was going to be an improvement over the older one which I had. BIG mistake. First of all, the reservoir to hold the clean water is too small and I kept running out of clean water. Then when I had to rinse the dirty mop I had to dip it in the clean water reservoir in order to soak up more liquid so I can properly rinse it. Ended up that a lot of dirty used water got mixed up with the clean one. After about 4 cycles of mopping I already ran out of clean water and had to refill it again. I had to refill it 4x to clean up my average size living room/dining room and kitchen. The whole contraption is unbalanced at first because all of the cleaning liquid is contained in the clean water reservoir. I am going back to my older Ocedar and just use another bucket full of clean hot or warm water. So what if I had to deal with 2 containers......easy peasy......so do not spend money on this...keep using your older model.
I had the original O Cedar spin mop and loved it. So when the mop and rinse version came out, I ran and bought one. I hated it!!! Mop head was too small. Wring hole was too small. And I ALWAYS ran out of rinse water. I didn't return it, but did end up giving it away. I am back to using the original...
You can buy a painters bucket (it is black with a blue handle and a clip that can hold the mop handle) from Lowes and stick it in your original O cedar spin mop bucket and turn it into the new version for $8. I love it and now my mop never falls over when it is in the bucket.
Was Looking to purchase new Cedar mop but trying to understand. Once you mop the floor the first time and put the mop back into the clean water side that side is now contaminated with dirty water and mix with the clean water
EXACTLY 😂 I tried it today and thought I was missing something and that's why im here. But im not missing anything. It's TRASH and false advertising. There are more problems with it that she didn't even mention.
You are so right to take the spin mop back. I bought the original version 4 years ago. It stayed in my house for one mopping and took it back because, buy the time I was done with my 80% hard floor house, I was very exhausted. I saw the new version in the store and thought before I buy it again I’ll find a review. I don’t have a big dog and still think it would be a waste of my time. Bottom line: The floor will stay dirty if the water isn’t changed frequently. Too much work!!!! My system is faster and easier I also dry them before letting my dog in the area. My towels are white and when I’m done drying the floor they are still white. Thank you for you honest review.
Hi from Philly! After much research I bought and used this mop today. I really like it. I'm glad I got the new dual system instead of the single one. It's easy to use, the water is reasonably clean and my floor dries fast. 2 thumbs up for me.
Hello from Chattanooga Tennessee. I have the original spin mop and I love it. I have about 6 mop heads. 3 all white for my floor and 3 of the white and red for my walls
Little Falls, NY, originally from the Caribbean. I was curious how this system worked and I really appreciate your time in going through the entire process. As an elder with spinal disabilities and arthritis everywhere, I can already see too many issues with the set up of this mopping system for myself. Although I like the idea of separate water partitions, it looks like it would be too heavy for me to lift. I use Swiffer Wetjet for my weekly routine and my Mr. Clean foam roll mop for my hot monthly cleaning. I have a short hair cat who doesn’t shed much but I live right next to a highway and active train tracks so the amount of dust that plagues me, Ohmygoodness! I have to sweep and vacuum every other day or else I find my cat chasing tumbleweed sized dust rabbits (not bunnies, because these have grown up!) around the apartment, no lie! I must say, grrl, you rockin them slipper covers! LOVE them! Again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Like we say in The Virgin Islands, “Bless up!”, and, “Love alone”.
Thanks for the honest review. I just bought one and I couldn't understand how it could do a good job if the spin water went right back into the clean water, plus it no longer has a telescoping handle, which I was wanting. I may just exchange it for a regular spin mop and a bucket of clean water.
Heads up if you want to use boiling water you should get an electric kettle! Easy to use, heats water fast and and your can easier and safer. Thanks for the review. I bought this and wasn’t sure if I was using it right. I wish there was a way to rinse and then spin and then dip in clean water. I guess I can use another bucket. I also liked the ability to get the baseboards with it.
I have the original. It’s been a god-send to me. I love using a mop but it’s hard on my hands to wring it out. I love how you’re so excited mopping your floor. Another comment suggested using a bucket for the clean water is something I’m going to try!
I used mine for the second time today. One thing I noticed and maybe no one else has is that, after you mop once, you are putting your dirty mop back into the clean water reservoir. Then you wring it out. You now have dirty water in your clean water reservoir. I know it refills with clean water but there’s always still water in it. Doesn’t make sense to me.
I love this mop system,it works really well for me. Just want to say that maybe the reason you had residual dirt after mopping, was your "DIY" solution was not strong enough to break down the dirt on the floor, just saying.Liked your demonstration and loved the dog.
I do not agree! The reason why is not the strength of the cleaner. It was obvious it was because the baseboards came clean. It is not going to work when your putting the mop back into dirty water. Most of the water spins out, but there is still enough dirt on the mop when dipping it into the cleaning water. The only way a floor like her’s (because of the dog) is to keep changing the water. No way, not me.
@@sandrafrosch4293 agree. I’m a single guy with a husky… I have a shark matrix robot that I run 2-3 times a day and I just got this mop because the mop water becomes black when I’m mopping… I mop 2-3 times a week… with a regular mop, I’d have to change the water and remop the downstairs 3-4 times until it was clean… with this system, I only need to mop once or if it’s really dirty, twice. The first cleaning is to get up whatever my husky left down there and the second is to finish it off…
I have three large dogs and one is a husky and live on a horse farm. I am debating buying this system, but like you after mopping the floors still come up dirty. I am hoping this may help. Almost need another bucket to rinse the mop prior to putting back in clean water and spinning.@@apathy11303
@@sandrafrosch4293I'm not sure if she swept first, she kept walking over the wet floor and also mixed baseboards into mopping, this was not a reliable testing method.
I was thinking the same thing but, I think once you mop and have a dirty mop, you wring it out, release the valve, grab fresh water with the dirty mop wring that out and then go back to the fresh water and mop again.
Whats crazy to me is I just stopped mopping and get on my hands and knees or squat down and do my floors because the kids and I did it once to just see how it was (cause they can't wring the mop out) and now I prefer that method. However, I need something for my high walls and ceilings because I feel unsafe standing high up trying to wipe them down.
You can use your tub or shower instead of the kitchen sink. The handheld facet is much easier to use. Then dump the dirty water in the toilet. I love this mop and bucket. Best thing on the market.
Good idea but anybody with a septic tank needs to be very careful using any chemicals that will be going down the drains. Some chemicals etc can cause damage to the septic system and be a costly repair.
I saw an old spin mop bucket version used and just place a small plastic trash can as a second bucket on the empty side to keep clean and dirty water separate. Seems easier than the new mop bucket system which seems pricey.
I just got the first version and I just used it the only problem I have with the mop is that if you try to mop up and down the mop head flips underneath it and doesn't stay flat. I had better success using it side to side. I like how it does get the dirt up well. I might just use the nicer dollar tree mop. I love the bucket spin action which is easy and works well.
I have found that unless you clean the floor on your hands and knees the floor is still going to be somewhat still dirty. I currently use the regular O’Cedar mop stopper bucket. I haven’t used the steam mop method. I have been researching the commercial style mop method I have seen used in the hospitals. Once the mop head hits the floor with one swipe it is dirty and short of washing it in another bucket I feel it still not good to get the floor spic and span clean as they say. With two dogs and a doggie door the that I can hope for is no mud and a little hair or fur . Good luck on your endeavors to find the best mopping method and thank you for your video I enjoyed it.
So I just got one of these and i love it I clean my floors every 3 days and each day its a 6 stage process. My floors are super hard to clean they resemble real wood with deep grooves and gouges and everything so let’s just say between sweeping and using my vacuum cleaner to try to suck up as much dirt as possible I can fill up a one gallon bag of dirt. I sweep I vacuum and then I use this mop that’s kind of like a swiffer and then I actually use a real mop and then to end it off. I have one of those shark steam and mop with the spending head and it works amazing. My floors can get so dirty within day two if you walk, barefoot your feet are going to be solid black I really wish I would’ve never had this flooring. It’s a type of tile and it was here when I bought the house and it’s completely resistant to flood water. I live way down south in Texas even in a hard rain my house floods at least six times a year
I got the same bucket and mop from Villeda The kitchen flood looks a lot better after I use it. Our kitchen floor has a lot of wax stripped off of it so it's easy to look dirty no matter how many times you wash it. I like it. My tap water gets hot enough to use the water. My roommate uses a kettle to fill it. I fill a pouring container with a spout with the very hot tap water and only fill the bucket with just enough water to wet the mop then ring it again. Spin the mop after cleaning the floor before dipping it into enough water to wet the mop to see if it gives better results. Like you said you have a dog so it might be time to go over the floor with a scrubbing on your hands and knees.
I’ve had this mop for about 6 months now. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!❤️❤️❤️❤️🎊🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🥳🥳. I always mop with Mr. Clean and this mop get the job done and leaves my tiles super clean and house fresh. I think everyone should have this mop. I always fill my bucket in the bathtub and empty in the toilet
this may sound icky.. but,,, in the bathroom, first i clean the toilet..then use the red water this time on the mop as usual... but go back to bathroom and slosh the dirty mop in clean toilet water so im not leaving that much muck in clean water.. I spin it, go to red side and get clean water on mop, spin a little and repeat.
@@marciakovar1766 The risk of spreading disease-causing organisms concerns me more than the ick factor. < : - ( Hepatitis, gastroenteritis, treatment-resistant c. difficile...surfaces that have been exposed to raw sewage are not so easy to disinfect. Please take care of yourself!❤
Hello Wayna, Thanks for your honest opinion on the mopping system. I have the mopping system and I don’t like it. I was never able to get the mop dry enough to mop up the water. I found myself spinning the mop head over 40 times and it was still dripping water. I truly wanted to love the system but wringing the mop head out by hand was a true downer. I love your posts. Take Care!
I recommend a roomba for the dog hair! I have a chocolab/hound mix and often have my daughters chocolab AND we have 2 cats. My Roomba runs every day and even after my cleaning lady comes and sweeps & mops my floors... the roomba runs and gets MORE hair. I think I might try the cheaper oCedar thing just so I don't have to stick my hands in dirty water..but the two chambers seems like one more thing to try to keep clean too. Thanks for an HONEST review.. so rare with "influencers"!!
I have the original. The handle broke and I bought a replacement handle that's like the one on this version. I just put my clean water in a flexible dollar tree bucket and it it inside the ocedar bucket so it's all together.
TFS I think this new method is phenomenal! First vacuum then get down with O- Cedar does make life easier! It’s simple to put together The pole is of light weight! Love the idea of not putting my mop back into dirty water! Spin after each use then pour into clean water The grout in between the tiles don’t look dirty nor does it absorb from a dirty mop So, I give it a 10 when I take a break from steam mopping I’d like to order those micro fiber slippers 😊
I have an electric kettle with a spout so I can pour the boiling water in the little hole easily. So does your homemade mop wash work usually but using this Ocedar, it didn't work? I have one of these and I like it because of the concept (and I know people bootleg the concept by just bringingan extra bucket) but I hate how small the buckets are. In original O-cedar the bucket portion is big, fits the whole mop head with no problem. With this one, I think the mop head is smaller and the bucket still isn't large enough for my liking. I like to be able to swish the mop head around in the solution and you can't do that with this.
@@Waynaworld Would you mine showing us your mopping system as a compare and contrast. You mentioned the infusion before but I would like to see how it works as well. Please and Thanks
I am going back and forth on getting one, my only hold up is you are putting a dirty mop in the clean water. The red lever does that add more clean water into the reservoir!
You did a great job on the review. I like the old bucket better. I'm not sure this bucket was an improvement. I also have two labs. I have a huge house the all hardwood floors. I will stick with the old O-cedar bucket. Girl you boil water! That's some work. I hate how little water flows over to rinse the mop. Plus when I pick up the bucket, it tilts. Not a fan but I will use it upstairs.
Just bought this and I love it. I never had the old system so I can’t compare. I have only ever had the bee mop(sponge mop). I will never go back to the sponge mop.
I didn't hear you explain about the red tab. It stays up? What is the purpose of the tab? I use castile soap but have never heard of using alcohol on the floors. Thanks
Omg I LOVE Jackson, he was so happy to see you wagging his tail. Makes all that work worth it.I don't know how you have kept him quiet from us all this time, I have never heard him bark or seen before. Nice review as well, I considered getting one of those but I don't care for the dirt left behind either. Thanks!
Thanks. LOL.... Jackson is always around. (AKA my shadow) I sent him to his room while I mopped the floor. Plus he's a senior dog so he's not barking unless he has to.
I bought this clean rinse system bc I hate putting the mop head back into dirty water-seems really stupid and counter productive to me. However, if I had it to do over again I would've bought the original version and just got a small bucket to fit in the main bucket to keep the clean water in. The white mop heads are so much denser and easier to use on baseboards and cabinets. The blue ones are thin and the plastic head just gets in the way. However, I think since it's your first time using hot water you were probably getting a lot of dirt loosened up that you normally weren't. Hence, why the microfiber towel was so dirty at the end. I bet that would've happened with any mop. But I few extra passes would get it clean and then it wouldn't be so time consuming going forward.
Love the slipper covers and puppy. I like that you went through the instruction sheet in your video. I think the dirt left was because with the system does not allow the mop to be rinsed and rung after cleaning in the dirty water before dipping in clean water. I like the idea of super hot water. One method I used was an old electric Eureka floor steamer. The only issue is for the size of my house I need to refill it a lot.
I'm in love with my original and swear by it. I have put people on, lol! I will say though I wring my mop thoughly because I can't stand seeing a wet floor. It'd seem like you'd just be pushing dirt around with extra water. But I do want those shoes covers you have because my whole first floor have to be mopped and I hate wearing sandals or my "mop" socks, lol!
Just one thought. Any time you use a new mircrofiber mop head, it will not have the absorbency. Hence, maybe that is why it didn't pick up the dirt like you were wanting. I always wash any new microfiber products a few times prior to use because of this issue. Loved watching your video, though.
Hi from Ohio! I like mine & have had it a couple of months. I also bought a couple of plain white mopheads & I use them for dusting baseboards & up along the ceiling/wall "seam". The long handle makes reaching up in corners & behind furniture so much easier & faster.
Just got this and rried it and so far I love how clean it got my floors. Even though some the dirty mop water stays on the mop you really use most of the clean water when it comes up in the clean side. Most of it absorbs in y our mop when you shut off the water plug..not all of it but it is way cleaner than my other one bucke syste..
5:35... I use my COFFEE POT for HOT WATER... I just fill up with only water and use THE SPOUT OF THE POT to POUR IT IN... I also use a FUNNEL... I have to make 4 pots of WATER to fill up the TANK but it is definitely worth it ❤
I cant agree more with you, I have an old school mop yellow bucket and it's the same as this. Thank you for the honesty. Mine is going back too. It was a gadget
Let me suggest using cold water with ice from the freezer. First the cold water makes the dirt go to the bottom of the mop bucket leaving you with clean water on top to rinse your mop out with. I learned this from hand mopping the night before A&P Grocery Store back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Would love to hear the reviews. Thanks. I still use it occasionally.
I didn't like my o-cedar mop. I used mine several times and didn't like the spin mechanism- it just was cumbersome to me. I ended up getting rid of it, and then I bought a bissel crosswave which is like a mop and vacuum in one. It has its limitations (leaves a small 1/4 inch space against edges and walls where it can't clean), but I just go behind that with a swiffer mop or wipe by hand and clean those areas. I love that I have constant clean water to mop with, it's overall cleaning does a great job and clean up is pretty easy. I also love that I can clean my area rugs as well. it does a very decent job with that as well. I would highly recommend a cross wave if you're willing to make the investment.
Not sure if you specified or not but I thought I only saw you go over the floor once. I think if you went over the floor a second time and added some vinegar to cut through that build up, your floor would’ve been sparkling! I’m sold on the mop simply cause I don’t have to wring it out! 😂 Great use of the microfiber shoes tho!
I’ve never tried this mop before but I love the microfiber mop pads from Rubbermaid I can sweep and mop my whole house with them and then wash them when I’m done i always use hot water sometimes if my living room is especially dirty I’ll do a plain hot water scrub with the mop then another round with my cleaner
Thank you. I was contemplating whether to get one or not. We have dogs, tile floor and clay soil. Have to change mop water all the time. Will try two buckets next time. I have the slippers too. Love them! Thank you for this review. Have a blessed day!
I’m thinking of getting this Mop and was wondering if it wouldn’t be easier to just add water to the clean water chamber without removing the top part?
My tea kettle is my best friend when boiling mop water . Everyone looks at me crazy when I say I boil my water. The tea kettle nozzle makes less of a mess And the boiling water does something to the spin mechanism so I have to replace mine about every 3 months
Hi from Troy, NY I was looking for a great way to clean my hardwood floors and I came across your site I'm a man and I'm very clean so I use hot water also I had bought a O-cedar also didn't like it for one I have a petty big place and lifting up and pulling that bucket was not hard but I knew they was a better way so I bought a bucket with wheels and it spins so thank you for your input keep doing what you're doing.
Im confused tho because the dirty mop is still being dipped in the clean water so whats the advantage of spending so much money on this particular bucket over the older version of their spin bucket?
The next problem besides filling it up with water is that over time the step peddle gears will go bad and then you lose the spin action deeming the bucket garbage. I had that cedar. Then i went libman and today the handle on the libman has same problem as cedar. Gears go bad cause there plastic. If they were metal it may last longer. The fact that you can not buy replacement parts is crazy. They just want us to keep buying the whole setup. I cant. What did you try next?
Would you ever consider guiding someone who is just stuck in a apartment that cant afford to leave but the place is stuck in the 70s and the landlord isn't trying to upgrade
I think if you use actual floor cleaner like Lysol/mr clean. It would have been clean. You didn’t use much soap so it seem like it was more water than cleaner
Could the essential oils impart a color on the floor that you can’t see except when you do the final microfiber test? Not saying it does just wondering.
I have the spin mop and its not that great. I use it but the mop itself retains a lot of water., I got mine on sale and for the most part it does what I need it to do.
Thank you for this review. I use boiling water to mop, too. I purchased a funnel from dollar tree (automotive section) and it so,ves the filling problem!
If you really want a sparkling clean floor, just use ammonia. I guarantee it will remove ALL the dirt and grime from your floor. Take your dog to a friend’s house, open all the windows and put on a fan for fresh air and pour the ammonia straight onto the floor… the dirt will actually come up with very little scrubbing. Test in an area first for safety on your type of floor. I just bought this spin mop and I think there is a learning curve getting used to it.
If you're someone who likes to use boiling water like I do I have a good size tea kettle that sets on my stove at all times I just boil my water in that it makes filling the bucket much easier
sis why you working so extra hrd on that little run? do side to side on the short side using a s pattern sweep then you can get the slobber up without dragging it back to the cleaner areas . I agree with using boiling water as it also dries fast
Hey there! Loved your video! I think a big difference with this mop system would be to change out the mop head instead of re-dipping if you have animals. A lot of that dirt stays on the mop head even though you're dipping in fresh water. I feel that would make a big difference as well.
I don't understand how the water in the clean side stays clean if you are constantly dipping your mop in it? Does the water in that side renew itself between each dip?
THANK YOUUU!!!! you single handedly restored my faith in humanity. There are TRULY clean people still out there 😭

One of my sisters sent me the items for the feet and I put them on my hands and used them to clean the dust from my television, blinds, baseboards, and monitor screens. They both laughed when I found out it was for my feet, but hey it is great. I received the O-Cedar as a gift from them, and I like it.
How is the water kept clean if you’re dipping the dirty mop back in it?? I’m so confused 😕
FOR REAL THOUGH! That's what I want to know!
My exact question lol. You're doing the exact same thing as if you had the original bucket system lol
Because when you spin, it rinses off the mop before you stick it back in the clean water
@@rachellewhite4054 it’s still dirty tho..lol. You’re only rinsing off SOME of the dirty water but the whole mop is still dirty…
@@rachellewhite4054 nope. Dirt still on mop.
That was nice of you to gift it
You can buy a painters bucket (it is black with a blue handle and a clip that can hold the mop handle) from Lowes and stick it in your original O cedar spin mop bucket and turn it into the new version for $8.
Bottom line:
The floor will stay dirty if the water isn’t changed frequently. Too much work!!!!
My system is faster and easier I also dry them before letting my dog in the area. My towels are white and when I’m done drying the floor they are still white.
Thank you for you honest review.
@Sandra Frosch May I ask what system you use instead for your floors? White towels after mopping is impressive!
Yes, please share.
Hi from Philly! After much research I bought and used this mop today. I really like it. I'm glad I got the new dual system instead of the single one. It's easy to use, the water is reasonably clean and my floor dries fast. 2 thumbs up for me.
Hey Philly girl!!! Go birds!!!🦅🦅🦅💚💚
Hello from Chattanooga Tennessee. I have the original spin mop and I love it. I have about 6 mop heads. 3 all white for my floor and 3 of the white and red for my walls
Very nice 👍🏾
Great idea
That's the old model, the new version keeps the dirty water separate.
Did you get this one or the old one? The new one keeps the dirty water separate.
Smart
I have the original. It’s been a god-send to me. I love using a mop but it’s hard on my hands to wring it out. I love how you’re so excited mopping your floor. Another comment suggested using a bucket for the clean water is something I’m going to try!
How would that work
I used mine for the second time today.
We're glad you are enjoying your O-Cedar mop!
I get the idea but when you mop the floor then put it in the clean water isnt getting the water dirty???
I was thinking the same thing but, I think once you mop and have a dirty mop, you wring it out, release the valve, grab fresh water with the dirty mop wring that out and then go back to the fresh water and mop again.
I just ordered mine and I’m so excited to get my baseboards, walls and ceilings! YAYYYY
Hey whats that vacume thing you used at the end??
I really enjoyed your review. Don't know if I will purchase the mop system but was curious how it worked. You did a great demo.
thanks for the honest review. I was considering getting one. But was wondering if it was really worth it.
You should try it for yourself, the reviews are mixed.
I had the same issue with mop head. Loved the concept just need to possibly the mop head be more structured or designed
That's because the proper way to mop is side to side, up and down wastes your energy and misses spots.
I'll Be taking mine back as well. It leaves streaks one my hardwood floors.
Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you for choosing O-Cedar! We are thrilled that you are enjoying the EasyWring RinseClean!
How much Mr Clean do you use? And do you use the Mr Clean on your wood floors? Thank you.
this may sound icky.. but,,, in the bathroom, first i clean the toilet..then use the red water this time on the mop as usual... but go back to bathroom and slosh the dirty mop in clean toilet water so im not leaving that much muck in clean water..
That’s smart 🤓
What is your current mop system? I noticed your mop at the end of the video.
You could use a clean Funnel to pour in the hot water .
That’s true. I’m going to stick with my old mop for now. Maybe 🤔 one day I’ll invest in a electric kettle. I need more space first.
@@Waynaworld Or a regular kettle that stays on the stove!
@@Waynaworld Would you mine showing us your mopping system as a compare and contrast. You mentioned the infusion before but I would like to see how it works as well. Please and Thanks
Hi from GA! I got it to clean the walls. I have carpet in my house. I’m tried on still be short to clean my walls and cabinets.
I bought this mop yesterday and I am taking it back. It just makes more work, and it doesn't rinse the mop it wets the mop .
I am going back and forth on getting one, my only hold up is you are putting a dirty mop in the clean water. The red lever does that add more clean water into the reservoir!
Where did you get those shoes
Thanks
Since I can't see the instructions on the box due to old/bad eyesights, I really appreciate you reading it out loud. Thanks!
I didn't know this. Thank you for sharing! : - )
thanks for this, i got this and was so confused on how to use it. i’m still not sure if i like it.
Do you have an electric kettle? It would be much easier than using a pan to boil water and pour it through the bucket hole...
Hi from Ohio! I like mine & have had it a couple of months. I also bought a couple of plain white mopheads & I use them for dusting baseboards & up along the ceiling/wall "seam". The long handle makes reaching up in corners & behind furniture so much easier & faster.
Good to know! TFS
This is a good tip! I will try it and see how it compares to my long-reach Swiffer (which I adore ; - ) lol!).
Same! I just used mine for the first time, such a gimmick. That wringer leaves the mop soaking wet too
Same! I just used mine for the first time, such a gimmick. That wringer leaves the mop soaking wet too
Let me suggest using cold water with ice from the freezer.
That’s exactly what i thought, how is the water fresh if you dip the mop back in the water?
Thanks for the tips. Hot, hot water and a extra bucket.
So happy your reviewing this I have it on my list of things to get soon.
My pleasure
Oh and the cleanliness level actually is coming from the Castille soap. That stuff is super super concentrated and AMAZING!
My tea kettle is my best friend when boiling mop water . Everyone looks at me crazy when I say I boil my water. The tea kettle nozzle makes less of a mess
And the boiling water does something to the spin mechanism so I have to replace mine about every 3 months
Aren't you supposed to wring it out in the spinner before putting it in the clean water again?
Thanks for the video. You saved me some money. I’m sticking with my old school mop & bucket👍
They were 50% off at target which is why you prob see it everywhere now. I got one during the sale! Haven’t opened it yet
Nice you caught a sale
Where did you get your mop slippers?
I think if you use actual floor cleaner like Lysol/mr clean. It would have been clean. You didn’t use much soap so it seem like it was more water than cleaner
Question?? So you're dipping into dirty water everytime you dip your mop?
I made a cardboard sleeve to hold while spinning. Wrapped some tape on the pole to keep the sleeve from dropping all the way down when not in use.
Where did you get those microfiber slippers?
the usual place, amazon 🤣
Could the essential oils impart a color on the floor that you can’t see except when you do the final microfiber test? Not saying it does just wondering.
What type of vacuum is that? I have a steam mop and love it but I need a new vacuum and that one looks powerful.
I have the spin mop and its not that great. I use it but the mop itself retains a lot of water., I got mine on sale and for the most part it does what I need it to do.
what's the point of having a "clean water" dip... if we are supposed to put it back in it after several wipes???
Thank you for this review. I use boiling water to mop, too. I purchased a funnel from dollar tree (automotive section) and it so,ves the filling problem!
Yes I like heat too. You could have used funnel. Thanks for heads up with more water. ❤
I used my electric kettle to heat my water and pour it in. The spout makes it easier. Thanks for posting.
Love, love, love your shoe covers. They are new to me.
sis why you working so extra hrd on that little run? do side to side on the short side using a s pattern sweep then you can get the slobber up without dragging it back to the cleaner areas . I agree with using boiling water as it also dries fast
How is that clean water you keep dipping the dirty mop in it????
A good question…. 🤔
Quick question...has your bucket melted any from using boiling hot water? Thanks.
@@tinaschultz9371 when you spin it, it gets rid of ALL grime, so when you re dip, theres no grime to dirty the water!
I think I will give it a try. My mom does not like it, she does not use hot water. Maybe that is why it does not work that well for her.
lol
