I’m glad you all enjoyed my edit of Aaron’s sappiness for Gas Stations/Malls. 🤣 I was in the other room dying laughing when I heard him going on about Malls. My wife asked “What’s so funny??” I told her “I think I’m gonna be on the next podcast episode.” 😂 I am a content creator for a living. I’d be happy to help Dusty out with any of his projects. 😎
Aaron was so confident when he said Quinceañera instead of Sweet 16. Quinceañera, as in the traditional FIFTEENTH birthday celebration. What a great moment for the Language episode.
Speaking of knowing multiple languages, my Nigerian friend from church taught a sermon one Sunday and began by asking, “I can speak Nigerian and English, so what does that make me?” The congregation answered, “bilingual”. He then asked, “so what are you called if you can speak 3 languages?” To which the congregation hesitantly answered, “trilingual?” Lastly, he asked, “so what are you called if you can only speak 1 language?” The congregation was silent, to which my Nigerian friend answered, “American”.
While driving to work this morning I was getting honked at and flashing bright lights on me. I get to my exit and then they pulled up to my side door and roll down there window, smile and just say HEY BEAR. Needless to say there's Bear Road Rage out there. I just gave my Hello folks, we both laughed and that made my day pretty sweet. All from a Nateland Podcast sticker on my truck. We're having a good time, thanks folks!
Dusty's addition to the podcast was providence. He completes the show in such a perfect and peculiar way. This show is a highlight of my week. Thanks guys.
I don't know why anyone would want to skip the comments segment. From Brandon's summary of Nate's incoherent rant to Ben's video of Aaron's identical take on two different subjects, I have never laughed harder watching the podcast. Love this flourishing Nateland community for keeping the guys honest. Keep up the good work!
I know y’all are comedians, but y’all are so freakin funny! When Dusty said, “y’all got chicken thighs in here” in reference to the thai restaurant, I was crying laughing! Thanks guys!
Y’all need a button that says “enough” (remember the Staple’s “easy” buttons?). I think Dusty, Aaron and Bellybutton could push it whenever Nate’s rant goes past 3 minutes. Or whenever Aaron deems “enough”
Hello Folks! I guarantee if any of you, including Nate, watch the music video and listen to the song Concrete Angel by Martina McBride you will absolutely tear up. Aaron may have to explain the end to Nate. You guys are great! Love every episode!
Also Nate, “I don’t know if I come across that situation all the time” in reference to someone being so good at something that it makes other people laugh. Nate. The professional comedian.
Hey, Bear! As a healthcare provider, hearing Nate's description of his "Trail of Tears" heading home from Lexington, I found myself mentally calculating his blood glucose levels and am surprised he didn't go into a one of those diabetic staring episodes that Dusty knows so well. I will say that after hugging Nate at Greg Warren's special (and having my own speechless Fangirl episode) I think he has definitely earned some Blizzards and ice cream with milk. He has lost a lot of weight and has clearly been working hard both on and off the wagon! I also wanted to throw out there that my husband's fantasy football team is called "Hello Folks"! Huge fans up here in WV!!
Hello folks! First time listener, long time commenter here. I spend my day working with kindergarteners teaching them to read. Every time I hear Nate read a slightly difficult word correctly I find myself encouraging him out loud just like I do my 5 and 6 year olds. For instance, I was just listening to the comments from The Weather episode where Nate read the words “rifling through” and then he quickly stopped and asked “right?” immediately after reading the word “rifling” . I immediately answered “good job Nate!” Unfortunately I was listening on my ear buds so I sounded like a crazy lady to my family in the other room but that didn’t dampen my enthusiasm one bit. Love the podcast, you four guys are an amazing team! Can’t wait to see you in Little Rock, AR in December!
So glad I didn't skip through the product endorsements, like I usually do. Hearing Bucephalus, Aaron and Dusty talk about "off" or "on" the wagon. Which then rabbit-trailed into a two minute discussion that had nothing to do with the product. Then Nate showcased his comedic timing with a "I am not even sure if I am a part of this." All part of what makes this podcast so great.
Hey bear! My wife and I have watched all of the Nateland podcasts. We love it. We absolutely lost it when Nate talked about the President on SALT…especially the lines “look man, just act normal” “what if I gallop like a horse?” All of you guys are awesome. Thanks for giving us so many fun moments.
Hello Folks! Nate, I am a huge fan of your clean comedy and started watching your podcast for the last few months now. Since I have started watching this podcast I find myself using a lot less bad words. Not to say I was a sailor, but working construction, It was not the cleanest. And then I would go home to 4 kids and have to try and change it up. Now I am trying to stay clean and it feels good not having to filter out the good and bad throughout the day. Love the podcast, and.... Hey Bear!
Speaking of Nic…I was in Target with my toddler in LUBBOCK, TEXAS, and heard someone speaking a few aisles over and I immediately thought “oh, Nic is here…” no questions asked. I was immediately embarrassed because: why on earth would Nic be in Target, in Lubbock, Texas, on a random weekday…? Needless to say, I listen to this podcast too much. Side note: I’d love to see a ~wives~ episode! I’m especially curious to know what Dusty’s wife is like. Love looking forward to listening to y’all each week, thanks for that. :)
I've been trying to stop cursing recently, I felt I was doing it way too much. Big thank you to nate, dusty, Aaron, and Beanbag for helping me become a better person and live a clean no cursing life.
Can we please have an episode where you each learn a phrase in a different language and the others have to try to guess it? My husbands first language is Afrikaans and I can only imagine that with a southern accent would be hilarious! Love the show, you guys make me look forward to Wednesday every week!
If you're looking at the words, "PEACE AND LOVE" and you want to correct the tracking (the spaces between each word), it's grammatically correct to say, "the space between 'peace' and 'and' and 'and' and 'love' look off to me". Reminds me of the buffalo thing. I've always loved that one.
I’m stuck at home on my last day of Covid quarantine. Thank God for you all’s podcast to keep me sane. On the topic of communication and your point:93% of communication is nonverbal…I teach ASL and try to emphasize this fact to my students so they’ll remember to use facial expressions while signing. Most of them are concentrating so hard on the signs that they look like robots. Anyway, I often think of Nate when this topic comes up in class, simply because I can picture him trying to gesture with others to get his point across and I’m not sure it would look much different than his normal, everyday interactions now. Love the podcast, keep the laughs coming.
Hey bear! I relate to the laughter as the form of expression very well. When I discovered the church I now attend, while doing Bible study with the people who were teaching me, I would laugh in amazement at The Bible's prophecies and fulfillment. They were very confused at my laughter until after a few months they asked me why I was laughing and I told them I'm just so amazed at The Bible's truth and they realized that My laughter was my enjoyment and expression of realization of God. Love the show!
Newer listener and first time watching the show. "Worried" is a great description for Brain. I like how Aaron says English is a Latin based language (or Romantic language) and nobody questions it lol. P.s. My wife and I saw Dusty in Greenville on the 17th, and we did in fact have a good time. Really cool guy and enjoyed taking a picture with him after the show (though I recalled his handwashing bit after I already shook his hand lol). Looking forward to catching each of the Nateland members' show when they come close.
3rd Grade Teacher from Huntsville, AL here! I would love to help clear up Dusty’s COMpass confusion. In English, there are stressed and unstressed syllables in words. In an unstressed syllable, a lot of times we make a “lazy” vowel sound called a “schwa.” It can happen with any vowel. It’s why when you say “away,” you say “uh-way” instead of “A-way.” Tons of multi-syllable words have the “schwa” sound like lemon (lemUHn), president (presUHdent), banana (bUHnanUH), and compass (cUHmpass.) Yes, 3rd graders have to know this… but don’t worry, I didn’t learn about the “schwa” myself until I started teaching 3rd grade reading a few years ago! It was great to see Dusty and Brian at Stand Up Live a few months ago and we already have our tickets to see Nate in December! Let’s Go Folks!
I also stopped washing fruit as an adult. Then I started working in a grocery store warehouse where tall stacks of different fruits and vegetables would regularly fall during transportation and roll all over the warehouse floor. Then a bunch of workers wearing dirty work gloves would all help to hastily put the produce back in their containers to be shipped out. Now I wash my fruit again.
Let’s GO, folks! Longtime Nate fan here, I recently found the podcast. I love it! But hey, I finally figured out who Aaron’s voice reminds me of. He sounds like he’s doing an impression of Frank Caliendo, only without doing any of his funny impressions. Just normal Frank talking between all his funny bits. Anyway, love you guys, keep it up…by FAR my favorite podcast.
The president running looks like he was convinced that it was gonna be in slow motion but the director couldn’t make him understand that you run normal either way.
Hi Nate, my name is Kassie Massey and I am a dietitian who specializes in disordered eating. Every week you seem to describe being stuck in what we call the restrict-binge cycle with your eating. You eat “good foods” for a while and then the pendulum swings in the complete opposite direction. You should consider trying to give yourself unconditional permission to eat foods, soon the novelty of your “junk” foods will wear off and you’ll likely crave more nutritious options. For instance, after the day you had McDonald’s, Dairy Queen, candy, etc. you probably didn’t feel well and seemed to enjoy your yogurt and granola the next morning all the more. You probably overdo the junk foods because they seem off-limits. Anyway best of luck!
Let’s go folks! I’m on a mission to listen to every episode before Nate comes to my town, Sioux Falls, SD on Oct 15. I started in August and I’m listening at work at 2x speed because of the time crunch. I have 38 episodes to go and 8 work days left. I love that there is a podcast where the hosts talk about anything from pretending to be a guy on his porch that has the same rules as the royal family to if you should test screws that hit you in case they were from space junk. Love the podcast so much! Keep up the good work Nate, Aaron and Bubble! Also, it’s pronounced “freeze” and not “fries-e”
@4:30 I literally thought he was putting together some rhyming analogy. “If you stand with a man with only a compass in his hand” I was upset he didn’t finish it off
wooo!!! I did it! All caught up now boys! Started June 20th with the 1st episode and just watched 118. Thank you for a great podcast! It's great to turn off everything around you and just enjoy some laughs and just be you! It's been great because this pass year has not been easy for my family and I, with my fathers passing last year, it has been very tough. Thanks for putting out great content week in and week out. Love you guys and God bless!! We're havin' a good time so, LET'S GO FOLKS!!
Whenever I feel pinned into a corner because of someone I just think of Erin and say, "That's Fair🤣." and then everything is fine. Thanks for all that you do love your podcasts.😀
Nate sometimes jokes about his intellect regarding speaking, reading, and comprehension. But then he talks about how language restrictions pushed people like Stern to be better. I thought that was incredibly insightful. Not many people realize that the lack of restrictions has hurt us more than helped us. Also, I think there need to be more comics who could be G rated as Nate is. The fact that I can suggest his standup acts to literally anyone is rare. Nate, don’t ever lose that! Your success has proven that we, as a culture, crave cleanliness when it comes to comedy. You allow the comedy to be the star.
I like that while trying to figure out how to pronounce the word “compass” correctly, four comedians compared it to words like Comcast, but never COMEDY. Thanks for all the laughs, guys!
Regarding Dusty’s family & friends being in jail “a lot”: growing up my dad’s family members had enough people going to jail that if someone said, “hey what’s Woodrow up to?” (Real name, by the way) and they’d respond “oh he’s working for the state.” The family way to say he’s in prison.
Hey Nate, I want to say thanks for doing a show in Delaware this summer. Growing up there we never had any sports teams, major music venues, etc. I was so stoked to see you there. It meant a lot!
OK I’ve been listening for years and even rewatch episodes. I love that that you guys just talk random stuff, don’t ever change. I was surprised when Brian THE BOSS, Bates was rambling on about on the wagon and off the wagon and did not refer to the Seinfeld episode lol. I can always count on him to refer to a line. I love Seinfeld and always refer to it all the time. Anyway I love this podcast and each of you are great. Nate I am so glad I found your comedy and the podcast and the rest of the crew.
Nate I’m so happy for you that you met your goal weight and were able to give yourself a congratulatory cheat week (or 2). A few years ago when I went from 198 to 160 lbs I was struggling about halfway through and what got me the rest of the way was decided to congratulate myself after with a gorge session of whatever I want and got to the point I was watching other people gorge on the foods I loved in TH-cam videos. Unfortunately my congratulatory cheat session never ended and I found myself about 3 years later at 208 lbs. this time you were my driving force. You openly struggle with sweets like I do and I kept at it alongside you (slightly delayed because I had to see you doing it first) and as of this morning am back down to 183 lbs (25 down so far) and another 8 to go. Not going to the 160’s again because last time people were asking if I was ok/had cancer/was sick/dying etc. Thank you for being an inspiration Nate. To the fats, to the dyslexics, to all kids who can’t read good and who wanna learn to do other stuff good too.
The “hello folks” story by Breakfast at the beginning reminded me of a similar scenario I just experienced. Last week I went to a new dentist and had my Dusty hat on. The dentist was thrilled because he had not ever met anyone that knew dusty (outside of his own friends circle.) I had to come back later that evening to finish up my cleaning and when the same dentist came into the room he said, “are we having a good time?” It completely went over my head. I guess I was not having a good time. Then we pontificated about the intricacies of the 5 o’ clock somewhere joke. Great episode guys!
My husband and I have been fans of Nate for years and saw him a couple years ago in Madison, WI right before COVID hit. I finally started listening to the podcast a couple months ago after seeing some clips on Twitter. Now I'm binging previous episodes and can't wait for Wednesday to come around each week. But, to be honest, when I have to listen to old ones, I get a little sad because Dusty's not on them. Thanks for making me laugh every day!
Hey Bear! Just saw Nate in Colorado Springs! What a fun night! Nate - amazing you did the incline. Rumor is that famous USA speed skater Apollo Ono used to train and do the incline on one leg each way. What is the comedic equivalent? Getting a laugh from a church crowd? I’m a pastor so you know…I get it. TN boy and love all your stuff and total Nateland fan boy.
one of the things I love about Nate is that I didn't even realize he was a clean comic until I started listening to the podcast and he talked about being a clean comedian. definitely doesn't need the language or the sexual content to be hilarious. it's nice to have a comedian to recommend to anyone without a caution statement
I’m currently harvesting grain so I’m spending 12+ hours a day in a combine. I’ve gone through every episode that I hadn’t listened to starting with the very first one. Love the podcast and love the addition of Dusty. Thanks for keeping me entertained!
When I saw the title of this episode, I thought, "This ought to be good. An episode about language where two of the guys struggle with just the English language." But to my shock, you guys stayed on the topic more in this episode than probably any other episode in the podcast's history. Who knew? Keep it up, fellas!!
I appreciate the genius within simple explanations. A good example is when a cuss word might be funny - "Like a fart in a church." "But, it's disgusting if everyone is farting in a church." Well said.
Nate’s point about cursing is what I was saying about ads commercials and tv shows now. You have daytime tv and ads that can be very sexual innuendo heavy and I remember growing up tv wasn’t like that.
My dad was convinced eating apricot seeds would prevent cancer. When I was in high school we went through a phase of eating an apricot a day, and then eating the seed when we finished the apricot.
I for one truly appreciate Nate being a clean comic! And I’m sure I’m not alone. I once heard it said that cursing is the crutch of the intellectual cripple. This makes sense when you listen to how many times people interject cursing into everyday language.
I tell everyone all the time that Nate is my favorite comedian. And it’s because he is clean. I use curse words but I respect you guys doing your job in that fashion. Jumping to the “donkey” discussion. That is actually the only curse word I have heard Nate say. I believe he said it in his one half hour special. You guys are great. And as always. Thanks for the weekly laughs.
Different energy to this one. The boys were buzzing off the bat and are becoming more comfortable with one another and are ribbing each other with no regard to human kind. True friendship at its core. Hello bear!
Why did it take 46 years for me to find out Charlie Daniels had a song titled with my name? Once again, Nateland podcast pulling through with the educational content. Thank you gentlemen!
To me people cussing on regular tv is another sign of morality and civilization declining. I cuss on a fairly regular basis, but I don’t like hearing it on network television. I remember the days when you only heard cuss words on HBO or Cinemax and I’m only 45 years old.
Thank you for such a fun podcast time after time! I'll continue to listen and laugh (even though my husband doesn't think ya'll are funny at all) I feel like you pick on my beloved Nebraska a little too often - it's not for everyone! WAY too many ads in this podcast; maybe it's just because, in Nebraska, TH-cam thinks we need more Wayfair. Hey, bear, keep on keeping it clean, and thanks for all you're doing!
Dusty has the greatest airplane etiquette of all time. If you ask everyone you know, no one else will ever say they like the other passengers to see them go to the bathroom. I wish I could fly with him somewhere just to watch everyone else react. Dusty needs an entire routine just about him on planes.
I always wanted to sit in the truck bed growing up. But no one I knew ever had a truck. Then, my dad borrowed a truck from a friend and let me sit in my bed. I was having the time of my life. Only downside was, the truck had a topper on it, with no windows, and the bed was full of tools. So, I was back there, but not sure I had the full experience.
I graduated high school in 2000 and took Latin for all 4 years there. My high school still teaches it. Breakfast is right. Latin is the basis for so many languages but also English sentence structure. My husband studied to be a pastor a while and learned Latin, ancient Greek and ancient Hebreww to be able to read the original translations of the Bible.
I think Nate should name a comedy special "Words Are Hard" .. I believe Nate said that phrase on an earlier podcast episode and I about spit out my coffee laughing because he sounded so defeated while saying it. Also maybe Dusty is thinking of Slush Puppies instead of Icee's? I grew up on those and Dusty and I came from similar backgrounds.. My Dad used to take me to the carry out/convenience store and buy me a slush puppy while he bought a 12 pack of beer. I got slushed while he got sloshed.
Why “Go.” is a complete sentence: a sentence is a group of words giving a complete thought and must contain a subject and a verb (although one may be implied). The sentence “Go.” is an imperative sentence, meaning it gives a command. The actual meaning is “You go.” The subject, “you,” is implied, but the thought is complete. Although not technically a complete sentence, Aaron Weber has demonstrated that the following IS a complete thought: “Enough.”
Getting Harper's Ice in a skating rink is like how I go to movie theaters just to get popcorn. They often ask me for my ticket and I say "I'm just here for popcorn." Dusty, I know how much you love popcorn. Have you tried this? Very fun way to elevate a movie at home.
We live in the suburbs in Florida. My kids' favorite thing to do when their grandpa comes over is taking truck rides. Kiddos in the bed of the truck riding through the neighborhood.
I have an audiobook suggestion for Nate that will keep his attention. Anything by author Rick Bragg. He is an author from Alabama that writes stories about growing up in the south. I bet the entire Nateland podcast members would enjoy his stories. Please start with Where I Come From. Love the podcast!
Language was a great topic for this week's Podcast because of it's huge diversification encompassing the Vagaries of our language. ie: In the word scent, is "S" silent-or "C"? Why is there a "D" in fridge, but not in refrigerator? Ever wonder why the word funeral starts with FUN? Why isn't a Fireman called a Water-man? If money doesn't grow on trees, how come Banks have Branches? Why are goods sent by ship called CARGO and those sent by truck SHIPMENT? Why do we put cups in the dishwasher and the dishes in the Cupboard? Why is it called 'Rush Hour" when traffic moves at its slowest pace? And how come Noses run...and Feet smell? UNBELIEVABLE....TO BE CONTINUED.....Loved watching the four of you. Always entertaining and enlightening.
A couple of my favorite facts about the english language are: You can use the word “had” four times in a row in a sentence and it still makes perfect sense. For example: “What he had had had had an effect on other people.” Also “strengths” is the longest english word that’s only one syllable.
Hello Folks… I think that’s as serious as I’ve seen Aaron when he was delivering his critique of Gas station Pizza. His priorities and moral com-pass is spot on !! Julian Turnewitsch
I live in NW Montana, a place with plenty of bears. Last weekend I was hiking with a gal I very recently started dating and we were yelling "hey bear!". We heard someone else yell it and I replied "Hello folks!". The girl stopped mid-step, turned to me, and said "what was that? Do not ever do that again". We haven't spoken since the hike. Thank you guys for helping me dodge that bullet early. Love the podcast, come do a show in NW Montana please! Closest cities are Missoula (2 hours away) and Spokane WA (4 hours).
I meant to comment on whatever podcast it was where you mentioned Travis Walton’s alien abduction but I’m a procrastinator so I’m commenting on this one instead. My husband and I met Travis Walton at a MUFON conference in Pennsylvania 10 years ago. I asked him how come they had him found naked in the movie Fire in the Sky, when in his book and in his presentations he said he had clothes on when he was found, and he said something like “That’s Hollywood.” So I asked him which movie or TV show portrayed his story the most accurately. He said the episode on the TV show Paranormal Witness. He said they did it the closest to what really happened (at least as of 2012 when this conversation happened). Anyway, after meeting him and talking to him and looking in his eyes, I believe that something really did happen to that man. p.s. my surname is pronounced like Hind in hindsight.
I am a big fan of Nate and was ecstatic to stumble across this podcast. I spent the past 2 months catching up on all the episodes and I was devastated to be caught up - because now I have to wait a week before starting the next one. I catch myself saying "GOOD NIGHT" several times a day and I'm trying to make 'in one fell swoop' the next buzzword/phrase overused in corporate America. I went to your show in Northampton, Mass and the opener was making jokes about Salem. The crowd (being typical New Englanders) were not laughing... and finally someone shouted 'We aren't even close to Salem!'. I died laughing... and was immediately suspicious that it was a set up. However, once I found the podcast I realized that there was NO WAY it was a set up and that the comic truly did not realize. Which made the memory even funnier. I have tickets to your show in Hartford in November and I don't care that its the same material. I have nosebleed seats but will do my best to shout out 'HEY BEAR'. I hope you can hear me. I work for Travelers and was chatting with one of the big wigs about trying to get you on the Travelers Championship Pro Am. He is also a fan of yours - so no promises - but we are going to try and get you a slot. It would be FANTASTIC to have you golf during our Championship. www.travelers.com/about-travelers/travelers-championship Thanks for being hilarious -
Wow, Billy Bear knows how to pick'em. Just went and listened to "Where You've Been", geeez what a debbie downer. And this is what he listens to for fun on his free time? Apart from that roller coaster of emotion, keep it coming!
"People say English is the hardest language to learn, but it's the easiest one for me." -Norm MacDonald Was Norm the best comedian as far as word choice goes? Who are some other comedians who excell at choosing unique words? I'll go proofread this now.
When I was a kid, me and my brothers didn't have cell phones (early 2000s) and we would be outside hanging out with other kids in the neighborhood, instead of texting, us my dad would whistle and the no matter where we were in the neighborhood we could hear it and then we would just run home like animals. No referee plastic while or handheld whistle, just under his own strength and talent, he could call us home from anywhere in the neighborhood just leaning out the front door or standing on the front porch.
When I was in high school our basketball team played the Iowa School of the deaf. We wrongly assumed they would be at a disadvantage so we went into the game not taking it too seriously and we might even have to take it easy on them. They were so good at basketball. We got murdered.
Dusty, call Wikipedia, your answer actually has 9 of the same words making a complete sentence, as a question “Will Will Will Will Will Will Will Will Will?” Reads as: Asking if one guy with the same First Middle and Last name would be able to will another guy with the same name from the area of Will in the region of Centre, Haiti.
Great episode! Very interesting topic. Would be fun to maybe do a part 2 where you look at people's accents all throughout the USA. Just a thought. You guys are hilarious so please keep them coming. I look forward to this every week.
Shout out to Aaron, Casey’s General pizza is an absolute staple in the Midwest. I’m from Iowa and their breakfast pizza is easily my favorite. Two slices and a chocolate milk from Casey’s growing up was perfection!
I learned a great deal in this episode; 1. Aaron is Michelin grade chef with his word salad! Just big words drenched in simple ideas that is garnished with questions posed as answers. 2. Breadbox is the walking stereotype of the southern christian man untarnished by the secular world. 3. Dust Pan has a child??! 17 months, almost a year and a half, how long has he been on the show? Has this supposed child been referenced before? 4. Reader Mode, what is this reader mode? Had no idea which feels like salt in a wound, finding out on this show, whom go on to say how much they hate reading. 5. Lastly The Dead Language which is technically not dead. Latin, although does not have native speakers but due to an overwhelming presence in European & Western science, medicine, & literature, it will never be classified as a "dead language." I've been watching/listening since the start & witnessing not only the evolution of the show but the bear folk of the show, has been equally entertaining. Keep it up!
As Nate described “hey bear” it’s kind of like being out in the wild it makes more sense to me to do randomly not structured at the beginning or end kind of like Dustys “we’re having a good time”. Just randomly throw some in there when we least expect it.

THANK YOU!

I listen to Correct Opinions podcast and the woman on the cast has a “that’s enough” button. It’s pretty funny.
It would be great to have Nate's movie review as a weekly segment.
omg that would be great.
I second this!
Such a great idea! That Salt gallup breakdown had me in tears laughing
Hello Folks! I guarantee if any of you, including Nate, watch the music video and listen to the song Concrete Angel by Martina McBride you will absolutely tear up. Aaron may have to explain the end to Nate. You guys are great! Love every episode!
Oh my word! That would be hilarious. 😂
“I don’t know how to use words.” - Nate, the man who speaks for a profession.
Also Nate, “I don’t know if I come across that situation all the time” in reference to someone being so good at something that it makes other people laugh. Nate. The professional comedian.
Finally, inability to sleep pays off. I'm awake when the show is released!
I set my alarm for this.
We have a winner
I’ve never been so happy to hear Nate’s voice. He’s back, baby!
I really wish I didn't catch up with the episodes because waiting for these to come out is TOUGH
Since it’s on topic, I figured it’s finally time to point out that Dusty says “water” like “wooder”. I love it.
" Trailerspeak " ... it's a language and way of thinking of those that grew up in trailer parks.
It's why I understand Dusty perfectly.
@4:30 I literally thought he was putting together some rhyming analogy.
“If you stand with a man with only a compass in his hand”
I was upset he didn’t finish it off
My favorite podcast
wooo!!!
I’ve heard that someone who speaks 3 languages would be “trilingual,” 2 languages is “bilingual,” 1 language… is American.
Hey bear
1:22:38 I love the pettiness of cutting out dusty and Aaron’s pound😂
LMAO what a great eye 🤣🤣🤣
Wow. I honestly didn’t think they cut anything out of this podcast. I stand corrected after checking out the timestamp.
@@DustySlay ✋🏼
If you listen close, Nate references it.
Listening to everybody debate whether it's on or off the wagon was hilarious. I will never miss an ad read again.
OMG, this is amazing! Can't wait for the next one!
Speaking of "this past weekend"....how awesome would Dusty Slay be on Theo Von's podcast. That would be a great episode.
We're at the top Vincent, right on, can't wait to watch.
I was delighted to see Aaron in Dallas. Great job
I’m from Alabama and pronounce compass the same way as Dusty. Everyone I know says it this way. Maybe it’s an Alabama thing.
Nate had tears during the ad read, powerful
A good time to say “hey bear” during the podcast is when Nate goes on a “rant.” Really loving the show guys.
I appreciate the genius within simple explanations. A good example is when a cuss word might be funny - "Like a fart in a church." "But, it's disgusting if everyone is farting in a church." Well said.
The fully serious conversation about Icees of all things had my cracking up at my desk at work lol
I love that none of you can whistle! My family LOVES to make fun of my terrible whistling skills. This will make it hurt a little less😂
“Quinceanera!!”
“What..?” 😂😂😂😂
I was dying 😂😂
Thank you for such a fun podcast time after time! I'll continue to listen and laugh (even though my husband doesn't think ya'll are funny at all) I feel like you pick on my beloved Nebraska a little too often - it's not for everyone! WAY too many ads in this podcast; maybe it's just because, in Nebraska, TH-cam thinks we need more Wayfair.
Hey, bear, keep on keeping it clean, and thanks for all you're doing!
The shortest complete sentence is, "enough."
I love that the Aaron-Dusty combo character even had a sticker on the laptop that said “We’re having a good time” :D
Very fun way to elevate a movie at home.
george says "compass" the same way as dusty in the van episode of seinfeld. first time i heard someone pronounce it that way, today was the second. 😂
"Either way there's a wagon!"🤣😂🤣😂
A couple of my favorite facts about the english language are:
You can use the word “had” four times in a row in a sentence and it still makes perfect sense. For example: “What he had had had had an effect on other people.”
Also “strengths” is the longest english word that’s only one syllable.
It would be FANTASTIC to have you golf during our Championship. www.travelers.com/about-travelers/travelers-championship Thanks for being hilarious -
I forgot to add that you have a strong resemblance to Prince Frederick of Denmark. Maybe you have a long lost connection to the Danish monarchy...
Wow, Billy Bear knows how to pick'em. Just went and listened to "Where You've Been", geeez what a debbie downer. And this is what he listens to for fun on his free time? Apart from that roller coaster of emotion, keep it coming!
"People say English is the hardest language to learn, but it's the easiest one for me." -Norm MacDonald
Was Norm the best comedian as far as word choice goes?
“Pull his turtleneck over his head and confuse him “
Talking about the polar bear on the icee!
Dusty, call Wikipedia, your answer actually has 9 of the same words making a complete sentence, as a question
“Will Will Will Will Will Will Will Will Will?”
Reads as: Asking if one guy with the same First Middle and Last name would be able to will another guy with the same name from the area of Will in the region of Centre, Haiti.
Great episode! Very interesting topic. Would be fun to maybe do a part 2 where you look at people's accents all throughout the USA. Just a thought. You guys are hilarious so please keep them coming. I look forward to this every week.
Polyglot sounds like the name of a Pokémon
