I recently discovered Nate's stand-up while going through a rough patch a few months ago, but I was an immediate fan. This podcast has become my solace during my lonely graveyard shifts at work. I'm support staff at a homeless shelter, and some nights can be unbearably boring. There are so many moments during this podcast where I've had to stifle my laughter, so I don't wake up the residents at ungodly hours. The cows wearing the pants almost killed me. Thank you for the laughs, you guys :) please tour the PNW soon!
Hello Folks! My 14 year old son and I are HUGE fans of Nateland and listen every week. We were listening in the car ride home from school when Bates mentioned the idea of listening at 2xs speed. I tried it and we didn't care for it. The next option is 1/2 speed and I clicked that. My son and I laughed harder than I thought was possible because all of you sounded completely intoxicated and the beginning banter on the Dakotas was surprisingly believable as things intoxicated people would say. You really should listen to a portion of the show at half speed to see what Im talking bout. Keep up the great work. My wife and I bought tickets to Nate's show in Baton Rouge in February.
Hey Bear. I’m not having a good time. Been awake all night doing an experiment; my husband is in snoring denial. Every time I hear him snorting like a farm animal, I hit record on my phone. I’ve done some sound editing and he’s about to wake up to the sounds of his own snores! He can sleep through my all-night Nateland marathons- I keep my phone under my pillow. He did ask me about the guys I’m sleeping with and I knew what he meant. His helpful idea is that I should go to sleep earlier. We’re about to have an epic dumb marriage fight over this. He’s snoring again.
Ohh Ive been there-so many dumb arguments! I finally told him if you say that you’re not snoring then you are saying that I am lying-and he knew I wasn’t somebody who made up stories or lied. That didn’t really fix it but I stuck to it and started sleeping on the couch in order to get any sleep! We’re not together anymore lol not from that, or maybe?🤔 he is now his current wife’s problem!!😳😎
I was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota…two weeks after graduating high school I left for the Marine Corps where I spent 9 1/2 years. During my time in I met people from all over the country and world…EVERYONE would say the same thing, “you’re the first person I’ve met from there.” Cut to now and Rapid City is the fastest growing city in the Midwest! Love the pod and god bless!
I laughed so hard at a part probably no one even noticed. At like 55:55 Nate puts his chair back down and he raised it 30 minutes ago saying it was too low😂😂😂😂 he goes “going back down” lmaooo
Hey Nate, my aunt Deanne actually works for the ND Tourism Department so anytime you wanna float some ideas or meet up with those who are constantly trying to get the word about the magic of North Dakota, just let me know. Keep up the great work, I adore you all!
Things the boys missed about the great state of North Dakota: the Badlands, the Medora Musical; Theodore Roosevelt National Park; The historic Lewis and Clark trail (and that Lewis and Clark wintered in ND); the Potato Bowl; The Garrison dam, and that Phil Jackson, Angie Dickinson, Peggy Lee, Lawrence Welk, Roger Maris and Louis L’Amour are all from ND. Also, The Audubon Society (not Ranker) lists ND as one of the top places for birdwatching.
Maybe there should be a new segment where you bring up weird laws or weird facts and have to either support or oppose said law or fact! The whole time Nate was supporting the weird Dakota laws was amazing! Keep it up boys!
Just a note, Aaron, you might wanna be careful zooming in too much on Google maps. If you zoom in too close in the wrong area, you might accidentally give away Nate's home address. I'm assuming that pin in Tennessee is Nate's house. (Not that you did, but just in case you weren't thinking about that, just something to think about in the future.) If you browse in incognito mode, it will not show any personal info like that.
Let’s go folks from South Dakota! I cringed right out of the gate when Brunch said Mt. Rushmore is in the Badlands and thought here we go… but he corrected it and did a great job. Dusty, there is a documentary about Sue the T-Rex that would blow your mind. Lots of history but you have to check out the true story of Hugh Glass who inspired the movie The Revenant. Hey bear. Finally, I once saw a real UFO but didn’t think to actually report it. Hope Nate’s show is half as great as last time!
I love how Aaron just starts to laugh and struggles to stifle it when Dusty reads the sponsor ad. You can see Dusty looking over at him seemingly self conscious trying not to get flustered while Nate's serious as a heart attack.
Hey Bears! So, I’ve been watching y’all from the beginning. Two years ago I moved to Bozeman, Montana. I wrote in and mentioned the Big Sky here and how it annoyed me so much I drove with my visor down. You read it on the next podcast. I’m right now watching y’all and Nate says if we’re watching he’s probably in Bozeman. What? No way! And no show for us? I would love to go to a show but sure can’t afford to go far away for it. Dadgumit! Can all four of you please come here at some point? I would absolutely LOVE that. Love y’all and enjoy watching so much.
I traveled from Northwest Indiana to Oregon in 2017 and took I-90 through South Dakota and remember seeing signs for this mysterious place called "Wall Drug." But what was weird about it was how far away this place still was. The sign read "Stop at Wall Drug in 394 miles" and then subsequent distances from there on until you arrive in this weird place that ultimately ends up being a giant strip mall size gift shop with ice cream, food, miscellaneous South Dakota themed gifts and clothes, and so much more. It was an experience for sure! Just thought it was a South Dakota staple worth mentioning!
Nate - We just saw you in Cedar Rapids last night. It was a "mental health" break for me and my family. Laughter is so good for the spirit! I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt and I had to keep wiping my eyes. 🤣 There was no way I could go without telling you what happened on the way in to the venue. We took my MIL with us to the show. She was not really familiar with your comedy. Right before they checked tickets, we had to go through metal detectors. As she went through, the alarm went off. They asked her if she had anything in her pockets and she said keys. Was it her keys? My husband suggested they try with the keys, or without; let's see what happens. Maybe they've been lying to us all this time. I looked at my daughter and said, "No way that just happened.....AS we are walking in to see Nate!"😆😆 Thanks for being who you are and sharing it with us all! We can't wait to see you in January in Des Moines!!!
I love how every week Dusty reads his advertisement lines and Aaron cannot keep it together. He usually lowers his hat and covers his face because he can't stop laughing. Love this podcast!!!
I was so excited to get the email from Nate’s website about the new added shows for the 2023 tour. So many podcast quotes that I felt part of the ‘in’ crowd. You guys feel like family. Thank you for always being there and getting me through my busy weeks. ❤
Started binging about a month ago while working, and I'm up to episode #81 with Henry Cho talking about Bob Saget. Easily my favorite episode so far and the 1st to make me leave a comment. The ease of transition from funny to heartbreaking and back to funny is amazing to see.
Hey Bear! NDSU has actually won 9 total national championships since 2011. A fun story from the first of those games is that the NDSU fans drank the stadium hosting the event out of beer in the first half, and they had to bring in more during halftime. P.S. We North Dakotans are very proud of the word “North” in our states name. Anyone who says we don’t is either uninformed, or jealous of our national titles
Saved last weeks podcast and a few others just for my 13 hour drive to my new travel assignment from north texas to knoxville Tennessee was not disappointed! Keep up the great work gentlemen!
I’m curious how Nate’s stomach felt for those 2 weeks he was off the wagon. I’ve eaten the exact same healthy meal, OMAD intermittent fasting for 2 straight months. The fair came to town so I ate somewhat badly with my family for the weekend. My stomach has been making noises and feeling awful the past 2 days while I’ve also slept bad. I keep asking myself why I ate like that. Back to my disciplined eating style. I can’t imagine what Nate’s stomach was like going full throttle for 2 weeks.
So fun to hear you guys talk about the “not becoming your parents” commercials! That’s actually my uncle on my dads side. He’s obviously playing a character but he is super funny in real life and kills the deadpan delivery. Keep up the good work folks, y’all are crushing it!
We went to South Dakota this year for vacation. Driving through the scenic route of the Badlands was the best part. The sun was setting, we got to see wild rams and bison, and my sons ran around the hills pretending to be outlaws. That was a relief because it had been a ROUGH vacation day the previous day at Mt. Rushmore. Sadly, we didn't visit North Dakota. Maybe if Aaron had been in charge of marketing we would have. Or maybe not, afterall they've had gimmicks before. They named their capital Bismarck to attract German immigrants and the state's population speaks for itself. I hope Aaron's new vocation will lead [North] Dakota to new heights. I'll go proofread this now.
Wooo! I've never had the opportunity to watch literally a couple minutes after it's uploaded. How exciting! Do I stay up until 4am watching this? I mean, I don't work tomorrow... so... maybe.
@@vincentgonzaba4656 I stayed up. And then at 4am as I was falling asleep I remembered that I had a training for work at 8am. LOL Luckily it was over the phone, so I was able to stay in bed and put it on speakerphone.
We always told my younger sister that she was adopted and a few years ago she did 23 and me. It came back that she was 40% Greek even though our grandparents came from Italy as children and spoke fluent Italian. She has asked myself and my siblings to do one too but we haven’t done it to keep the intrigue going. Love the show!
Having lived in South Dakota for 6 years, every other fact about the Dakotas was correct. The one thing I can’t let go on is how you say Belle Fourche. As much as I hate the official pronunciation, it’s pronounced Belle Foosh.
Guy wearing cargo shorts: “Have you tried saying ‘Hey Bear!’ yet? You should probably say ‘Hey Bear!’” Bison: That actually never even crossed my mind, but my gut feel is that we’re probably past that point now. But thanks, and nice shorts. Hope you kept the receipt.
Hey Nate, as a native Casperite, I’m excited to hear about how your time was in town. My wife and I loved your show. Hopefully you’ll have more to say about Wyoming than a couple of states who needed to build a bunch of mountain faces just to get you sucked into conversation about them. Being named after the friendly ghost > stupid mountain faces. Hope you enjoyed your time!
A Nateland Trivia game would make for a great gift idea. Some of the topics could be how long Aaron pauses during the Indeed promotion. Or how many times Breakfast has worn the blue polo shirt. Or when Nate said “hey bear”. Or when Dusty officially became a cohost.
“What animals are in South Dakota?” Come on fellas, SD is the number 1 place in the world to hunt Pheasants. The season opens Saturday when Nate is visiting here!
Watched this episode on Sunday evening, and checked the Ranker stats to see if Dusty made the list. Top 4, in order: Nate, Aaron, Brisket, & Dusty. All is right in the world.
Two punch ups for Kristi Pickens' show idea. 1. Call it "Chip Shot" and Dusty's character is named Chip. 2. Instead of a semi-pro racecar driver, make him be exceptionally good at something really obscure like souped up lawnmower racing. So, Chip's a local legend, naturally gifted but never ventured to be more than he is...outside of the trailer park his fame fades pretty quick. You can explore ideas of what it means to be successful through the antics of these two new neighbors, one of which has "made it big" but only in a realm no one follows, and one who is struggling to "make it big" with something more mainstream but the more he pushes and sacrifices the more jaded and/or bitter he becomes.
2 things: 1. I went to Peru over the summer and met a Peruvian kid while there. I asked him if he ever wanted to visit the US and what he’d like to see. After a while of translating he said the biggest thing he wanted to see was Mount Rushmore. He said he “looked up to those presidents.” So I guess that shows people in other countries do think about Rushmore over other rock monuments 2. I have been to Dinosaur National Park and the reason they don’t have every single bone of a dinosaur is because most of the places they find dinosaur bones were once water sources like rivers, therefor, when a dinosaur would die, a lot of the smaller bones would be washed downstream.
As a resident of the south Dakota, I am both excited but bracing for the jokes... Edited to tell y'all what we've got: first of all our official desert is Kuchen (yum), not only do we have Mt. Rushmore but we also have the Crazy Horse monument (my cousin is a great great great grandson of the great warrior), we have AMAZING walleye fishing here on Lake Oahe, and Sitting Bull's burial site overlooks the river (although it's disputed if it's actually his bones here or if they're in Fort Yates-quite the ordeal around his bones...people went back and forth stealing his bones between Mobridge and Ft. Yates although I don't know why). We also have the Sturgis Rally where you can sometimes have a meet and greet with members of the Hell's Angels (yikes). We also have amazing artists John Lopez and Del Iron Cloud. And remember the amazing story of Hugh Glass (The Revenant)? And as far as low UFO sightings go, I know a few ranchers who have seen and heard some STUFF... they just don't report it
Hey Bear! Thanks for reading my comment! Good thing Nate was unsure of the pronunciation of my last name because Aaronland shut my comment down pretty quick. I guess I'm the only one that noticed Nate says "I'm not a _____ guy" quite a bit. I will assume it is because I binged all the episodes starting in August when I stumbled on Nateland through TikTok. Keep up the good work, I'm a big fan of the whole crew!!
Fireworks are used to protect the sunflowers from the birds. Sometimes farmers put "cannons" out in the field that fire off periodic bangs in an attempt to scare away the birds. My father-in-law attempted to scare away the birds so they wouldn't eat the seeds, but they eventually became accustomed to the periodic booms, making the strategy ineffective. Love the podcast and I'm looking forward to seeing Nate in Sioux Falls.
Brian!!!! I just listened to your grand old Opry debut on TH-cam. I love you on this show and normally chuckle at your contributions to Nateland and defend you to the nonexistent audience in my car. However, I laughed out loud at your comedy set! You bring me joy and I’m so pleased to hear you bringing it! God bless, a fellow married-a-little-later. (37, but I’m a woman)
Let's go folks! You answered your own question of whether or not the Dakotas were in the wild west when you spoke about Deadwood saying, "it was lawless in the west". They were both part of the "wild west". Love you guys!
@@aliceleathers2632 I'm sure it was at one time. I was talking about currently. I don't think anywhere is considered the wild west these days. Except maybe Portland. 😂
Nate saying "There Will Be Blood" was a comforting movie for him was my "running president ". It was all I could think about foe the rest of the podcast. Are we thinking of the same movie??
Hey bear! Nate just caught your show in Cedar Rapids, IA. You brought the house down! Just for the record what you were wearing was very "cool" as the kids would say. The only thing missing was a fanny pack, a walkman and a pair of heelies. Thank you all for doing what you do!
For a guy who tells stories for a living you'd think Nate could hang through a great story like Shawshank. Not surprised Dusty checks out during a comment though. Kidding, love you guys!
hey bear! i live in South Dakota and i’ve been waiting and so excited to hear the South Dakota episode since they started doing states! the amount of disappointment i felt when i saw the title was “Dakotas” and that we just got lumped in with them was unreal! anyway, thanks for the pod and think about just going back to the original three members…
I did it! I found the ‘pod’, as Aaron says, a couple months ago and I am now caught up. I plan to listen to the next episode as my wife and I drive up to Duluth for Nate’s show Thursday! Aaron and Dusty should we go to the museum or pass? Keep up the great work!
An employee at the Houston Museum of Natural Science told us that you can tell which sections of skeletal fossils are fake just by looking at it. Man-made bones have a metal support system running through the inside of the bones, but real fossil bones have to be held up by an exterior metal support system. Using this information, we were able to determine that most of the fossils in our museum are, in fact, man-made.
The most surprising part of this whole episode is hearing that Dusty pronounces “oil” in the opposite way that anyone was expecting. I feel like that’s the one word that all southerners test you on to see if you’re really from the south and Dusty unbelievably failed
@@DustySlay is it though?? Haha. Love love love you on the podcast, even if I can’t figure out your accent. Could just be just me though. Being from Salt Lake City, I think people in the Midwest have noticeable accents, contrary to what was said about that on the pod.
As someone from Fargo I love how they're talking about the badlands, tangent into Shawshank Redemption and then digress right back into the Badlands. 🤣
Love that Nate is not a fan of Method Acting "that would be a lot to be around" then in this podcast says Daniel Day-Lewis is "so good", isn't he one of the most method actors out there? Keep it up!
Good episode guys! I am sure a lot of people thought “really? The Dakotas? BORING!” But I used to live in South Dakota (military brat) and lived on Sitting Bull Court. We used to visit Mount Rushmore a lot when people would come visit and our 2 dogs were even named Rushmore and Dakota. And I like that Dusty bought up Devil’s Tower, even though it was in Wyoming, we visited it as well and my dumb child brain thought that Bear from the legend was actually that size #HeyBear Brought back a lot of memories ☺️
A friend of mine used to cycle through clothes from Kohls and return them at another location every few weeks. He once went to return some shoes that caught fire at a campsite and a lady recognized him. Her name badge said “20 years” and he had to argue with her about their 6 month no-receipt return policy. She accepted the return and banned him from Kohls. He never stopped.
As a North Dakotan, when I first saw "The Dakotas" I was a bit upset to be lumped together. But I was just in South Dakota for a wedding last week and I had a good time and enjoyed some beautiful scenery (and had fun gambling and imbibing in Deadwood). When mentioning ND sports I would have liked to hear UND hockey in the conversation (great atmosphere at the games and has produced some great NHL talent). Wish I was seeing Nate in Fargo!
When I was in the Navy I was sent to Fargo for my first Navy week. While we were there, my chief convinced us to drive three hours to the world largest buffalo, not telling us it was just a statue. needless to say, very disappointed, but honestly felt like i could just get some friends together to build a bigger one🤷🏻♀️
Increasing the playback speed, then going back to the original gives the true southerner an idea of what northerners hear when we speak. If you knock it down to 0.75, it gives the true northerner an idea of what the parking lot of a Nascar race sounds like. Especially when Aaron reads adds 39:00
Hey bear! I think the definition of a haunted elevator is some kind of slip, jolt or fall and Aaron yelling “hit the deck!” as does a belly flop on the elevator floor.
I was born in ND…years ago the state ran a campaign to encourage people to move back to ND, did you know Dick Clark’s wife is from Steele, ND….just a few hundred people live there and where I used to live until age 7. Apparently Dick Clark would ride a car in their 4th of July parade. 😁 It’s such a small town the golf course is on the honor system if the staff is not working. 🤦♀️. It a place where you’ll find genuine people. I read at one point there were more cars than people in ND. It’s so flat, so much snow but no mountain to ski. They need to make it a cross country skiing resort.
Dusty is my spirit comedian...Sorry guys.....5 minutes in and dusty brings up the mayhem man..."Im a teenage girl....my bff just texted me she kissed johnny"...my favorite for insurance commercials....proving again he is my spirit comedian
So excited to see the new dates included Johnson City TN! I texted a bunch of friends and family to see who all wanted to go, then I ended up having to pay for the tickets of eight different people (since, apparently the whole thing was my idea). I'll probably never get paid back but I've got my ticket! Worth it!
Hello Folks, I love that every time I listen to this podcast, I find myself googling things that Nate claims is true, and I am always rooting for him to be correct....but then it is inevitable wrong. For example, coyotes have killed humans before, even though it is very rare! Literally wait every week to listen to this podcast, I think you are all great! PS. I do usually learn something every week, even if it is from the comments correcting the boys from the previous episode!
Nate.. I have a drink recommendation for you and it sounds crazy but try mixing Diet Coke with sugar free creamer. It tastes like the end of an ice cream float which is the best part.
My sister is a big time wear it and take it back. Usually at Target. She once took something back and had me pick it up again because she liked it so much. That’s why I wash my clothes before I wear them after I buy them
I was on a date night with my wife at a comedy club once in peoria Illinois. We purchased our tickets online before the show. We showed up to the show 10 min before it was supposed to start and there was literally 2 other people there. So a comic named Johnny Beaner. Played a show for 2 couples I felt terrible for him but him and his opener did a full show for us. What's the smallest crowd you had to perform for.
I ALWAYS watch the shows the day they come out… of course last weeks episode would be the one I wasn’t able to watch for a few days… I finally finished watching today & I hear Brian say he is going to be in Yadkinville, NC this (past) weekend 🤦🏼♀️. Literally 20 minutes from me! I am so bummed I missed an opportunity to go see him!! 😔 Hope it was a great time!! ☺️
Hearing you guys speak about returning items reminded me of my best friend’s dad who returned a mattress, that they’ve been using, to Costco after 6 years and they issued him a full refund.
Thank you so much for coming to Jonesboro AR in January! No one ever comes here and it’s nice to have your favorite comedian close to home. Do you know who the openers will be?
I’ve had an epiphany. People who have seen all four of them live could be called B.A.N.D. members. Band is can be an acronym using the first letter of all of their names. Love the show and strive to become a band member myself.
How about seeing all 4 is “The Pod Quad”. As an example, “I’ve seen Dusty, Aaron, and Nate. Once I see Bates next year I’ll have a Pod Quad! Like it? Like it? I do. Hey Bear!
Hello Folks! You guys are great and I’d like to think that if we knew each other, we’d probably be friends because I’ve never laughed so much and so often as I do with this podcast, but as soon as Nate mentioned a 3 wheeled motorcycle I started to comment that if Nate showed up on a three wheeled motorcycle his chances of leaving would probably be slim to none. Aaron without missing a beat says basically the exact same thing and now I feel like I may be switching to Aaronland! I’ll keep you posted! Keep up the great work!
I had the opportunity on a recent road trip to drive by Opelika, AL. It was nice of them to put on the town sign "Birthplace of pesticide salesman of the year Dusty Slay."
I'm surprised when BB Gun mentioned that John Krasinski looked like he could play basketball he failed to mention how Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone) is shown sinking shot after shot during the end credits. What makes it funnier was the way Michael Scott was totally blowing him off every time Kevin said he wanted to play. I believe there's an extended outtake on the DVD where BJ Novak keeps passing him the basketball and Brian sinks like 10 in a row. Novak said he wouldn't miss! -Scott Crawford
Just got back from the sturgis ralley in August. It is definitely a "Dusty" type crowd out there, but you wouldn't be beaten up for riding a trike, you would just not be getting the full motorcycle experience. Love the show, been a fan since episode 1!
Hey bear. Seeing all 4 would be called the Nateland B.A.N.D
Brian, Aaron, Nate, Dusty
I only have Brian left so close to BANG
That's fantastic!!!
If we all agree to start calling Brian Steve instead it could be N.A.D.S
Perfect!!!
Nice! 🤣😂

We can't wait to see you in January in Des Moines!!!
Seeing all of the Nateland members live should be called hitting for the Nateland Cycle!
I love how dusty wore a dress shirt for probably the first time in his life just to read the ad for dress shirts.
I mean, I don't work tomorrow... so... maybe.
Tough decisions!
Listening to it at 2x is wild to me. How do you enjoy it? This is s relaxing listen for me and speeding it up turns it into Tom and Jerry.
My cousin once returned a live Christmas tree to Costco after Christmas because it died, and they took it back. No questions asked.
Jesus.
Lmao
Having lived in South Dakota for 6 years, every other fact about the Dakotas was correct. The one thing I can’t let go on is how you say Belle Fourche. As much as I hate the official pronunciation, it’s pronounced Belle Foosh.
Guy wearing cargo shorts: “Have you tried saying ‘Hey Bear!’ yet? You should probably say ‘Hey Bear!’”
Bison: That actually never even crossed my mind, but my gut feel is that we’re probably past that point now. But thanks, and nice shorts. Hope you kept the receipt.
North Dakota also has Pronghorn (american antelope), Bighorn Sheep, Mule Deer, Mountain Lions, Prairie Rattlesnakes, Prairie Dogs...
I am a fan of this "Nate goes the opposite" game. Ya'll should look into this as a short segment.
As opposed to what? Thats the whole show.
2 things:
1. I went to Peru over the summer and met a Peruvian kid while there. I asked him if he ever wanted to visit the US and what he’d like to see. After a while of translating he said the biggest thing he wanted to see was Mount Rushmore. He said he “looked up to those presidents.” So I guess that shows people in other countries do think about Rushmore over other rock monuments
And as far as low UFO sightings go, I know a few ranchers who have seen and heard some STUFF... they just don't report it
Dusty should be top 25 for clean comics! Rankers stinks 😡
I bet Tim Robins can run. Nothing to lose with him and Martin lowrence is very underrated film.
Also, yes I’m using your real name even though I know the age old joke. I think it’s done and you deserve to be recognized! 😊
Let's go folks! You answered your own question of whether or not the Dakotas were in the wild west when you spoke about Deadwood saying, "it was lawless in the west". They were both part of the "wild west". Love you guys!
I was asking if they're part of the Midwest. Which apparently, they are.
I was watching a program on the wild west and they said that the Dakotas were part of it! Guess it could go either way. Thanks for the reply!
@@aliceleathers2632 I'm sure it was at one time. I was talking about currently. I don't think anywhere is considered the wild west these days. Except maybe Portland. 😂
@@brianbatescomedy Exactly😃
Nate saying "There Will Be Blood" was a comforting movie for him was my "running president ". It was all I could think about foe the rest of the podcast. Are we thinking of the same movie??
Hey bear! Nate just caught your show in Cedar Rapids, IA. You brought the house down! Just for the record what you were wearing was very "cool" as the kids would say. The only thing missing was a fanny pack, a walkman and a pair of heelies. Thank you all for doing what you do!
Excited to see the show in Fargo, thank you for making a stop in ND!
Why? I adore Dusty!
It’s nice that the dinosaur expert from Jurassic park 2 has transitioned so well to podcasting. Dusty
Pam: Thank god Nate was there so quickly when the deer got hit by the car.
Nate: Kind of a good-news / bad-news there...
I did it! I found the ‘pod’, as Aaron says, a couple months ago and I am now caught up. I plan to listen to the next episode as my wife and I drive up to Duluth for Nate’s show Thursday! Aaron and Dusty should we go to the museum or pass? Keep up the great work!
Seeing all four is a Grand Slam
The new Kings of Comedy! I would travel quite a distance if they all appeared together ❤
@@DustySlay I didn’t want to say anything, but since you brought it up… 😂 the MOST random accent I’ve ever heard. “Comp-us”
@@DustySlay is it though??
Keep it up!
I’m so excited for this pod! I have family in North Dakota. ❤
it'll be a miracle the day when nate can finish a full sentance the first time . . ..
And I like that Dusty bought up Devil’s Tower, even though it was in Wyoming, we visited it as well and my dumb child brain thought that Bear from the legend was actually that size #HeyBear
Brought back a lot of memories ☺️
Pastor in Colorado Springs, but grew up in Memphis and love everything y’all do! Keep up the good work!
Just bought our tickets to see Nate in Des Moines for the third time. We are bringing six friends! January 22nd can’t come soon enough.
I was born in ND…years ago the state ran a campaign to encourage people to move back to ND,
did you know Dick Clark’s wife is from Steele, ND….just a few hundred people live there and where I used to live until age 7. Apparently Dick Clark would ride a car in their 4th of July parade. 😁
It’s such a small town the golf course is on the honor system if the staff is not working. 🤦♀️. It a place where you’ll find genuine people.
I read at one point there were more cars than people in ND. It’s so flat, so much snow but no mountain to ski. They need to make it a cross country skiing resort.
If you have a show with all 4 of you, I will move heaven and earth to be there!
Worth it!
Hello Folks,
I love that every time I listen to this podcast, I find myself googling things that Nate claims is true, and I am always rooting for him to be correct....but then it is inevitable wrong.
That’s why I wash my clothes before I wear them after I buy them
Hey Bear!!! 1.25x is the perfect speed to listen to. Not sure how much time of ur life it actually saves...but something is better than nothing.
Beanner is a pretty funny dude. That's sad.
@2:57 I liked the "Slap-Chop" guy. He was funny "...We can't be doin' this all day"
Oh he WAS the ShamWow guy!
I know you all are mostly Vandy fans, but the head football coach of the Tennesse Vol's (Josh Heupel) is from Aberdeen, S. Dakota.
Well, thanks to Aaron, we all know Nate's address now......54:09. Nate, I think you've gotta make some changes there!
I'm an open source Intelligence researcher and that caught my eye as well. Not good.
Lol. My fiancé and I moved from Fargo, as comics to Nashville, after seeing Dusty and Nate live. North Dakota is a weird, fun state.
Y’all need to re check the ranker site, the folks have made some things happen over there! Let’s go folks!
I had the opportunity on a recent road trip to drive by Opelika, AL. It was nice of them to put on the town sign "Birthplace of pesticide salesman of the year Dusty Slay."
Nate describing Daniel Day-Lewis' performance in There Will Be Blood as "calming" is low-key terrifying.

Just got back from the sturgis ralley in August. It is definitely a "Dusty" type crowd out there, but you wouldn't be beaten up for riding a trike, you would just not be getting the full motorcycle experience. Love the show, been a fan since episode 1!
DEADWOOD is one of the best - for the rare characters, language, the storylines. Include it along with THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.
Aaron did the "yuuuppp" from storage wars and I think I'm the only one that noticed🤣🤣🤣
Craziest thing in South Dakota - bike sculpture near Custer South Dakota
