Please 🙏🏽 transition back to natural hair! You can stay relaxed if you deep condition for moisture weekly, stretch relaxers, and neutralise well. But your Afro hair is stronger and naturally styled with curls🤩. Relaxed hair is too expensive! All you need for natural hair is shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner, & a pretty headband😊 It’s so simple🎉

Hey hey! You’ll be pleased to know I did transition back! 🤗 you’re so right about natural hair being stronger, plus I’m more familiar with looking after natural hair, thank so so much for your tips! 💕

Moisture, moisture, moisture. Just using oil is not doing anything but will continue to break and shed even more. You need a cream base and oil to seal. This can be everyday if your hair dries quickly.

I stopped using a bunch of products after someone commented on my previous video that I was using too much😩 but thank you, I’ll definitely try to use a cream and oil at the very least!💕

If you don't have alot of time, make a water and oil spray bottle. Something like caster, grape seed or avocado oil. Spray the braids every day or every other day for moisture between washings.

Ooo sis I don't miss the creamy crack and the burning on my scalp. When I transitioned from perm hair to natural hair I did it with braids because my permed hair was long and I didn't want to do the big chop. so every time my new growth grew I would cut the same amount of permed hair out until I was fully natural. It took about 2 1/2 years.

if you freshly relaxed your hair don't put braids in and to make sure you clip your ends bc they will get tough to comb and break

I relaxed my hair 5 months ago, I think it’s no longer “freshly relaxed” 😅 and I did trim my ends, my hair just always seems to end up like this, I’ll try trimming more often

Relaxed hair typically needs moisture. I'm sure you've heard of hairlicious here on the yt. I would suggest starting with tips and tricks from her hair routine until you figure out what your hair likes/dislikes! Obvs, do what you want, but I thought I'd throw out a suggestion. ❤️

also i wouldn't recommend braiding your hair with weave while having a relaxer and wearing wigs

A few things! I think you took too long of a break between relaxers. The 2 different textures can cause breakage. Definitely should have washed and deep conditioned braids once a month. Protective styles only help of you keep up maintenance. Lastly go to a professional stylist if you can afford it to get a diagnosis on your hair’s state. A relaxer touch up might stop the break or make it worse. A professional will be able to help. I would say leave your hair alone and keep up moisturizing and washes! Don’t be discouraged we all have mishaps happen with hair!

So guysss, should I just shave this hair of mine and start again fresh?😅 grow it out and chop the transition? Or is there still hope for the hair as it is?
Let me know what you think! And any helpful advice would be appreciated ☺️
Thank you for watching and supporting my journey!💕

Same thing happened to me. I let the natural hair grow out and cut the relaxed ends every few weeks. Didn’t have it in me for a big chop!

Your four cornrows looked fine too me...not too tight👍 It takes about 2 weeks of shampooing for Amal oil smell to leave my strands😬🇺🇸

It appears that your hair is in a fragile state. You
may need a protein treatment to strengthen your hair followed by a deep mask conditioner. This may revitalize your hair. Sometimes there is confusion with conditioning or lubricating your hair strands with oil versus moisturizing which is hydration. Also, may I suggest Aloe Vera plant blended with honey and vegetable glycerin which are humectants.

i really think it's your ends needing to be cut that's what's causing breakage and if you suffer from dry hair moisterize it daily with a creme and oil

How often would you recommend trims? And yeah I definitely need to get back to my creams, thank you!
