- In today's video i took a trip down to a local African hair salon to get stitch braids on my 4c relaxed hair .... gurrrl it was a hot mess! I was hoping this video would turn into a stitch braids tutorial for beginners with a professional black hair stylist doing my hair but boyyyy it turned into a 'what i wanted vs what i got' video!

Keep your hair juicy moist. Remember it's only hair and will eventually grow out.

And yes they are! Exchange rates e.g. £ or $ make them seem cheap but relatively, those are normal prices here. I definitely will be going to more hair salons, since they are super affordable I’m excited to try out more styles. I gotta go to a highly rated salon next 😅

Yeah I’m trimming bit by bit, I want my natural hair to grow to a length that’s enough to do braids at least

The braids don't look bad for $15. In NY the afrikans charge $10 per jumbo braid. If the hairdresser would've slanted ur parts her underhanded braiding style maybe been good for you to wear for 2 to 3 weeks. She waa confident bcuz u told her u were recording her
I honestly liked the look but I understand you had something different in mind… OMG I don’t even wanna know how long it took to get all the threads out😱. I can’t imagine how your scalp is handling all the pressure! I know you’re used to braids but I am sometimes getting a head ache from a tight ponytail so I can’t even imagine how these braids must have pulled on your scalp😖
I think it looked okay from a distance😅😅 up close was a different story lol and yesss girl I couldn’t lay my head on a pillow for a full night, they had to come out, braids should never be this tight or painful 😪

I tried so many human hair wigs from Ali express but let’s be real, they look almost never how they advertise it and the hairline is a disaster. Synthetic wigs have really upped their game … I am excited for this new chapter in my wig journey!! Thanks girl and I am looking forward to your videos!! 💝

The braids were neat but she definitely did not know how to do the style you wanted. I think she just is one of those people that's just doing it for the money you know.
I agree! I checked in with her 2 times prior to my appointment to show her the inspo photos and ask if she can do the hairstyle, she confidently said she could but when it came down to it 😬 she deffo just wanted the money
