You know, one thing I always liked about Air Attack over Air Attack II was that you regularly had at least some back up. You weren't a lone wolf going in all the time, you were part of a combined arms force. The key part, sure, but a part none-the-less and it was far more immersive than all the loner missions with at best a few turret towers guarding the end point like some levels had.
There were four superweapons in four different missions which you have for backup. The Edgar Eggplant, the Bulldozer (driven by Sarge), Headless Mary, and Baseball Bob.
Fax that was the hardest mission in the game, I still have vivid nightmares til this day. Woke up in the night thinking how did I beat it again? Smh and now here I am.
@@philbanks1745 if you think the ant mission was hard, then that tells me you never got to the last level. That shit was beyond hard to do and I think it actually involved a little bit of rng luck. But the ant mission was hard though I ain’t gon front.
I’ve been looking for this game for years!! Couldn’t remember the name and had vague memories of it, watching this made me remember a big part of my childhood. Now looking back as a child I never got past the second mission but it was still fascinating and I played for hours.
Played this game at my neighbors house when I was young. Never remembered the name of it but have always had vivid images of the green helicopter and the bug level. Glad to know the name of it. Definitely picking a copy up. Edit: thanks for the instant nostalgia you have given so many
these army men games, Army Men 2, Toys in Space, Sarge's Heroes, Air Attack, and World at War were the best out of the series that had some hit or miss entries.
I remember when this game came out. I wrote 3DO a letter about making a RTS game. A few years later a Army Men RTS game came out, and I've always wondered. This game in particular just made me think man, would be cool if they made an Army Men RTS when seeing the top down battles on this game. lol
At the last mission 20 years ago, my cousin and I kept losing trying to destroy all the batteries. On fourth time we decided to just do an all out brute force Apache attack with lasers and multiple missiles on the robot... it worked! 😂 Good times, good times.
I remember when I was a kid, I found this bug out where you could produce 200+ green helo’s. That would spawn and aid in killing any tan lol but it got to a point where there were too many of them and either 1. The game would crash, or 2. They would fly around in that rectangular planter and do nothing lol
one of the hardest mission i was too afraid to do as a kid back then was the picnic when dealing with ants. i had no strategic experience of problem solving when it came to games yet, i barley get through Jabuu Jabuu belly in Ocarina of time or not knowing how to get in Windfall temple.
Omg I’m gonna throw up.. I just had a random flashback and I’ve been trying to find the game that matches the images in my head and HERE IT FINALLY IS omggg the nostalgia
Wow, back in the past...I would like to go back in that time when I was a kid.I am 31 now...i remember when i play this first time and then go with my BMX to my friend house to tell him about this game, after that day I don't know how much time we play it.I wait Ps1 emulator for a few days, I am gonna have a good time😄😄
I remember playing this non stop when I was 5 - 7 this with medi evil and new and tastey. Makes me feel so old knowing that most kids today never even heard of a ps1 or ps2.. Simple but fun time's
Would love to have these games remastered into modern games. Like a battlefield style where we fight in literal sandboxes in someone’s backyard fighting on dinner tables etc
I miss my childhood where i could just play in the morning into the afternoon with my dad. But now i have a job and have no time play games. Adult life sucks but all of us need to go this process.
The backgrounds are almost too vibrant and well detailed for an early 3D game, but nonetheless these kinds of toy army games were always a treat to romp through as far as shooters went back then.
I have a ps2 and a tv it works on. I've been playing Champions Return to Arms but I'm going to get this game in a few weeks or a month lol. But I'm getting this game!
i would give everything if i could get that time back
PS1 selling for 100$with that game and more
@@subtovinceorgetexecutedbyt605 it wont be the same feeling
You and me both. These were good memories, fighting the tan. A time that made true heroes
I thought you were saying the whole time you gave to the game was a waste.
Lets get a reboot then, a solid one with real fans writing the story, n the former devs making it. I want a re done Army Men Worl War game tbh
Watching footage of these old games could bring a tear to my 26 year old eyes, miss those days with my cousin
Good times, good times :)
Yea I played this game with my cousin too :)
lol same, I used to play with my cousin too, i miss those days ngl...
I remember trying to imitate how they pronounce each chopper name and pilots codenames.. good times.. good times..
Same

Same OMG
Me too. Chinooooooook!

I enjoyed going so far out of my way to protect those dudes lol
Army Men > Infinite Warfare
The fact that I know the meaning of this comment 😂😂
Army Men, the games of my youth. So many fun times were had!
Same. Sarges Heroes 1&2 🫡
back when games are fckng awesome and you dont need to buy fckng DLCs .. god I miss those days ..
You and me both, dude.
I feel like this game had more fans than critics, the series wasn't THAT bad..
That ants mission was so much harder playing it as a kid lol

That was my strategy too with my best friend 😂
I just beat this game today (9-21-20). Feels good to beat it after I haven't played it in 20 years. Good and fun game.
the train was thomas all along.
This game have the most military music ever! Some parts of it's soundtrack are worth for the best militiray movie.

Ruben Cancino I remember doing this too! I alwaya do this in multiplayer and I think it works with jeeps as well. Can't remember how though.
I miss this game soooooo much

I always loved dropping items on the soldiers

This game was awesome!! Played it with my brother and the neighbors kid on a tiny apple tv when we were little. Good fuckin times
I rented this game from blockbuster as a kid and liked it so much I hid it and pretended to lose the game so I could keep it forever 😂
_We're on the waaaayyyyyyy_
This game is what got me into the franchise.

I remember playing this with my older brother. I miss those times
Am I the only one who likes this Woodstock better than the one in the second one?
This has the most epic intro of all army men
This is just nostalgia on a plate, cheers mate.
35:20 best voice-over in the game lol
"We're freeeeee"

The Thomas the engine train gets me everytime 😂
I still have MY COPY OF THIS GAME & a ps1 to play it on! XD
"WE'RE FREEEE..." I've forget that. ahahahahahha
I'm never going to get over how they strapped a computer guidance system to a bottle rocket.
I loved this game. I enjoyed the garden stages where I would pick up random flowers before going into the portal. Always made me laugh
When I first tried playing the game, I could not make it past the ants stage, those move a lil bit too fast.
This game was on the ps one this was my ace combat at he time ❤️🔥
omg.. this game was my entire childhood with my sister 😭 good old times 💫
Aww, this game was the shit back then! Thanks for uploading!
AAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW YIS!
I used to get up early and would out the volume down or on mute if that meant I won’t wake anyone up
Favourite ever.. damn great old days
The ant mission Was hard. But what made it easy is delivering the food from your base to the nearest tan base. Saves time and ammo.
Man, crazy to think you can beat the whole game in under 2 hours whereas most games take weeks to beat
I so loved these Games. They were brilliant.
I used to play this when I got home from school
I miss this series. Wish it would make a come back.
Saucer atack! and teddy! the best missions!
The backgrounds are almost too vibrant and well detailed for an early 3D game, but nonetheless these kinds of toy army games were always a treat to romp through as far as shooters went back then.
Did anybody took apples through the portal?

The final level's description is "Good luck!!!!!... You'll need it!" My brother and I played the N64 version and we could never beat it.
I love this game, this game of my childhood, thanks for memories, men. Iam from Russia, pardon for my eanglish.❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍

That's a very interesting way of using paratroopers, using them as suicide Troopers, not even that effective.
