The blue are always so confusing, playing both sides of the war. One minute you're hunting down a blue spy for their info and the next, you're escorting their tank battalion
What an awesome set of games, I like the little grave yard near the porthole with zombie army men. I though when they say, when you see it you'll know it, I thought they meant the grave yard corner. The 90s was such fun. I like games from the late 70s all the way through to the early 00s.
I remember as a kid saving and getting every single green soldier and never loosing a single one because I'd keep them at spawn and solo everything. Their lives were too precious to risk and by the end of the game it felt like you had a true army behind you.
ahh I remember getting this for my 13th birthday a great series the zombie levels are my favourite and the classical music sound track creates throughout a odd and serial experience
Me and my mother have some fond memories of playing through this game together, your comment about you and your mom was relatable. Love your content and hope you get more exposure
I never played this one but I think it’s on steam these days. I’ll definitely pick it up and see what I missed! Your videos are great man! Your commentary and editing skills were on point 😂.
Funny thing for me is, I didnt even learn about army men 2 till i was walking through a staples entertainment section some years ago when i was younger. I had always thought there was only the first one on PC.
I played the living daylights out of the first game. For some reason I was a menace online with it. I would roll people. Man I miss this series. It was so much fun. Loved how the box also came with a couple plastic army men.
I subbed, give me part two. Neverplayed these games asa kid, only air assualt, sarges revenge or something like that, gree rogue, and last but certainly not least army rts my fav game in the setting. Oh and some gameboy army men game where you fought the tan and aliens
Just downloaded the 2nd game. It took me years to beat the first one too😂. I ended up reading the manual over and over again and playing with my actual army men alot because of this game
In a way this is a little late to the game (no pun intended), but the Vietnam tactical shooter "Rising Storm: Vietnam" does have a DLC where you can play as plastic army men in a house. I say a little late because that game doesn't have the player base it used to and since it is a paid DLC; not everyone plays it, but when they would have it for free every now and then; it reminded me of the later entries in this series.
Just a side note for those who are interested: The Colonel, for some reason, is disabled in the Tank Store level. Some of you might have found it strange to be hearing The Colonel greet and talk to Sarge while coming off the train, but he is not anywhere to be seen. The code is commented out in the game files. When re-enabled, he will be present in the level/moves around the base if I recall correctly. It's nice to see. I'm not sure if you can find it on the internet, but I do have the edited file saved on my old computer that can play this game by disc.
i never had any of these top down (did i get that right?) army men games , but i had those 3rd person shooters and air attack , and many many moons ago i had a demo for army men rts ,the game became stuck in my memories for almost 20 years until i finaly bought it last year and completed it , overall i have fond memories of all the army men games i played
I gotta admit, I only played 1 or 2 once when some friends and I traded it for Tekken #__. I know some would say sacrilege, but we liked shooters & racing games more. We were so disappointed coming to whichever we traded after playing Army Men: Land, Sea, Air. It was the closest to Syphon Filter we could get at the time haha.
I would love to see you play Army Men: Operation Meltdown. I can't find videos of this one anywhere! All I can find is the 3D PS1 release, but I had the PC top down 2D strategy game the same as Army Men 1 & 2. No idea why it's so hard to find?!
It would be nice if these games were a little more controllable. A remaster of them maintaining everything but the graphics and controls (and maybe a better, less monotonous soundtrack) would be well-received. Although I know there's little market for it.
Why there so many Bazooka man in level 4? Because you keep going back and forward where the radar is as they respawn, if you keep spawning much of them they will shoot and crash the game!
I am going to write a letter to 2K Games Inc an BEG them to resurrect this beloved franchise. PLEASE help me by writing and mailing your own letters. :)
The blue are always so confusing, playing both sides of the war. One minute you're hunting down a blue spy for their info and the next, you're escorting their tank battalion
A true classic. Like how you battle natural hazards such as roaches in addition to the Tan forces. They don't make them like this anymore. Pure fun.
Oh man, the nostalgia... oh it's hitting so hard...
Nostalgia? I remember playing with those Army Men LONG before they became a video game. 3DO did an awesome job tapping into childhood imaginations!
The zombies in this game gave child me nightmares.
The cutscences when you fuck up was bad enough for me
Indeed, even they don' t scary much, but the voice.......it made me scared
The game over for the zombies was terrifying. Pov of you being ripped apart
Currently playing this game for the second time from steam. On hard difficulty with every green guy along the way still alive
What an awesome set of games, I like the little grave yard near the porthole with zombie army men. I though when they say, when you see it you'll know it, I thought they meant the grave yard corner. The 90s was such fun. I like games from the late 70s all the way through to the early 00s.
Great again! Army Men 1&2 is the GOAT for me...
Your video isn't getting the views or comments it deserves love this.
I remember as a kid saving and getting every single green soldier and never loosing a single one because I'd keep them at spawn and solo everything. Their lives were too precious to risk and by the end of the game it felt like you had a true army behind you.
Please keep making videos, your stuff is phenomenal
My man I better see you do Toys In Space and World At War lol
@darkroom0716 Toys in space is an absolute AWESOME game.
I just watched your army men video yesterday guess I might as well subscribe for the nostalgia trip
Played both of these games as a kid and also the Army men PS1 games. Sarges heroes was amazing too. The actual RTS game was dope as fuck.
ahh I remember getting this for my 13th birthday a great series the zombie levels are my favourite and the classical music sound track creates throughout a odd and serial experience
god damn it. i remember the Army Men games. which one added aliens? and instant action? that was the best.
Aliens was in Army Men: Toys in Space.
Me and my mother have some fond memories of playing through this game together, your comment about you and your mom was relatable. Love your content and hope you get more exposure
That's awesome! Also Thank you!
I still own this game and play from time to time! Still love it!
This game pioneered 'Nasi Zombies' before Nasi Zombies. The Tan Nation gets taken over by their ulTanationalists also a icing in the cake.
I wish the multiplayer option was available again. Always loved to have the green blue tan and gray all duke it out in a massive brawl
Agreed. I still have the CD for this game and a computer that can play it but I'm not sure if it would install correctly. I could try it out sometime.
I never played this one but I think it’s on steam these days. I’ll definitely pick it up and see what I missed! Your videos are great man! Your commentary and editing skills were on point 😂.

More of these old games my man
I was hoping you'd do more of these
I’d love to watch a live play through!

Those army men melting was something else back in the day
I remember as a kid I purposely avoided the auto rifle until I got the HMG (or LMG?) because I liked the sound of the default rifle more, lol...
guah ooh and bazooka that thing
4:33 Huh, I just realized the trees are those little diorama trees and the cliffs are moulded, neat.
Just downloaded the 2nd game. It took me years to beat the first one too😂. I ended up reading the manual over and over again and playing with my actual army men alot because of this game
We served...our computer ✊
GRUH!
Congrats on being the first! 😂

Level 2, there’s a secret heavy machine gun to pickup behind the waterfall to replace your permanent rifle
The Scout! If I remember right he’s the one with the grenades and glasses
There's a heavy machine gun upgrade behind the water fall in the second level.
RALLY 'ROUND, BOYS.

I just have one thing to say. Gruh.

I love army men 2 combat system, too bad toys in space was not as good as previous one
On the second level, there is a bunch of goodies behind the waterfall
I've been looking for a specific Army Men TV commercial set in a bathtub with rubber duckies, any help is appreciated!

THAT WILL TAKE THE STING OFF IT
It's on steam and its way easier than 12 year old me thought it was. You just need to play according to the jank sometimes.

if you never dodged bazooka fire in a warzone capturing an airfield, are you even a man?
They may be a man, but they aren't a true plastic one.
The music was annoying but otherwise great
4:39 so brutal I thought it was a Live Leak video from Ukraine.
Gruh
Interested in an active army men discord server with a tight knit community?
I'm not a very active person on DC but sure!
Are army men on steam worth?
Pre clearing the maps is the only way to go! You missed out on destroying the planes on the runway 🫠
