it's so interesting to me how a LOT of people don't wanna classify ateez as 4th gen because of how good they are. we have fandoms attacking us left and right, fighting for the title of "4th gen leaders" and while ateez definitely deserves that title, it's so heartwarming and such a big ego boost to see ateez be recognized beyond that. they're being praised as being on a similar level to their seniors and my atiny heart couldnt be any happier 🥺 thank you so much for continuously reacting and loving ateez! seeing your love grow for the only kpop group i've fallen for makes me so happy 🤍

It’s like groups can’t just say “They are good but I love X more” they have to tear down Ateez in the process. I agree. Ateez just isn’t like anyone else and when it comes to performance they are in their own category. I think the fact that Psy, Rain, Kim Jungkook, Eric Nam etc have all praised them is a huge acknowledgment that they are that good.

I think the Ateez advantage is from day one instead of focusing on uniformity they encourage each member to create a character and be that character. You can really see this in their live stages and music videos-down to tiny details (like Yeosang pretending to chew gum and spit it out in the Rocky MV). They care more about stage character than being perfectly uniform. You can see this in their KQfellaz dance covers up to their most recent videos (Don’t Stop, The Real, and Rocky). There is a content creator who does “what you missed in . . . Dance practice” she/he calls them “earthquake Ateez” during the hard parts. I often wonder whose office is below them and what they think during their dance practices. Also, if you’re doing dance practices you should do Horizon. You will want to see it in a stage but this dance is amazing and I adore the song.
When you watch Ateez dance practices you should watch them 9 times (once for full effect then once to focus on each member-they are in sync but they also exude an individual character). Also, you must appreciate Jongho who steps out does his high note thing then steps right back into formation and picks up the choreography as if he had always been there. Jongho doesn’t get much praise for his dancing but he truly is a very good dancer.

I agree. Not just in their music but their vocal color is unique. Nobody sounds like Hongjoong, Mingi or Jongho-their voices are very distinctive. Everyone else has a distinct vocal color but not to the extent the ones I mentioned do. I will say in the Kingdom Wolf cover I didn’t realize they had the dance group sing the cover until I heard what sounded like Wooyoung’s voice so if you know them you can recognize the rest too.

One thing I love about Ateez’s choreo is how they do formation changes. Where many choreos have the members step forwards/backwards/sidewards/howeverwards to do the changes, Ateez *spins*. Or they incorporate it into dance moves, it’s rarely ”just” walking. Like at 6.23 during thanxx, first the ”dance step” to move Yunho forwards, then they spin twice and shift members with each spin to leave Hongjoong center and Yunho in the back edge. Another travel move I personally love a LOT is in Fireworks. I think it’s the chorus, and it’s Wooyoung especially (guess my bias lol). He kicks his legs forwards but travels backwards, and a good distance at that. There’s something about that move my brain finds so satisfying. Back to thanxx, one thing I noticed here is how Seonghwa takes off his bucket hat to do his neck breaking move then puts it back on. That was stupidly endearing to me (guess my bias part 2) 😂

There's no way to watch their dance practices without being impressed; it's emotionally impossible. Wonderland's camera was really the hero of that dance practice. Good on it for staying upright! As others have recommended, all of their Kingdom performances were fire, and I especially recommend the Wonderland one because, well, lots of reasons including Seonghwa's costume. I'd also recommend Horizon dance practice because it's a b-side track and you haven't seen the video for it, and Pooh. Also recommend the practice for Wave because it's so much good fun. Oh, and every relay dance ever. Glad you're continuing your ATINY joy and love, and that you're taking us along with you. Thank you!

Yes, yes to the Ateez did it first stuff. I don’t know how many times of seen a reactor say “That reminds me of what XXX did in their dance/video/stage.” And Atiny are like “Fun fact but Ateez did that a year/or some other time length earlier.” I’ve always hated it when that kind of comparison is made with the assumption that Ateez did the copying, when Ateez almost always set the standard.
I may be wrong, but I believe this practice studio was over a convenience store, so I’m sure the employees worried every day that they were gonna fall through the ceiling 😂

I especially love all the ATEEZ appreciation because YES they have been killing it consistently with their insane artistry and talent since Day 1! I am totally there with all your San thirst too -- he's an incredible dancer/performer/everything! But as a Shinestar, I also really appreciate that you opened the video with a full minute of Seonghwa's crisp, amazing dancing, which he doesn't get remotely enough props for. Seonghwa, Hongjoong and San together make up the ATEEZ "Demon Line" (the three who so completely give themselves over to abandon in their performances that they aren't afraid to make any wild, crazy, demon face the moment calls for as they DIG INTO THEIR ART! XD) -- if you haven't yet, you should check out the videos out there on ATEEZ's Demon Line, because those performance compilations are amazing!

I’ve always hated it when that kind of comparison is made with the assumption that Ateez did the copying, when Ateez almost always set the standard.

You should really watch a few of the Deja Vu performances at Music Shows, the choreo hits even harder when they are all dressed up and really performing! In General watching live performances from Ateez is always a good time, wether it‘s from Awards Shows, kingdom, Immortal Songs or just plain Music Shows they are just all soo good!
