That music was from when I was in high school and college(60s and 70s). Looked like you had a great day. With hot weather, a 2 hour siesta during the hottest part of the day is a good idea. Get up earlier, rest when its too hot, hike later. Have a good headlamp and a backup flashlight. Our weather guessers are saying that it is going to get very hot and dry this summer. I had to put out a pan of water for my deer yesterday. You may have to carry extra water. Nice video. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Thanks so much! It was so nice to meet you and I’m fangirling a little about this 😁 you’ve been among many women who inspired me when I was planning this hike so it’s so nice to hear this 🥰
Hi Joel 👋🏼 So nice to hear from you! It was lovely to meet you, too! Maybe we’ll run into each other again 😊 I definitely will get in contact if I’ll come to Michigan 👍🏼 Tramily says hi 😊
Good to allow yourself a little break- this place seemed to have real down to earth pricing, hope it wasn’t too crowded, must have been glad for the opportunity to have a good rest and refreshed day? I wish you a restful night as well 🧘🏼🙏
I have a Suunto sport watch that I use to track my hikes. When I synchronize it with the Suunto app on my phone it gives me all this data (and much more) from every day 👍🏼

There are some really nice views from the Blue Ridge Parkway overlooks if you have cooperative weather. You are doing an amazing job of hiking!

Thanks, doing okay though it has slowed me down some and is taking more energy to hike through. But trying to take it easy and hydrate well 👍🏼😊
Need those fun days, don’t we🙂🙏
Oh yes, it’s important to have fun and refresh the mind 😊

It wasn’t too crowded, at least I didn’t find it so. It was a nice experience for sure and great to have some town food and relax 😊
If you dont mind me asking what do you use to measure your distance, time, and speed?
