If Kala had simply gone to a trade school there would be a brilliant electrician/welder/builder out there and she could probably be having a great time working with her hands on a daily basis instead of creating a risky death trap in her neighborhood.
She seems a danger to herself and others really. If she actually felt she could do the work properly she could have just gotten the proper permits to do so. But standing under wet cement seems just dumb.
Agree, it would be one thing if she was digging in the middle of nowhere but it is another to do it in residential area. She wants to endanger herself that is fine, digging a tunnel with the help of google around other peoples homes it is not OK. If the tunnel collapses it will drag earth from around possibly making the foundations of neighboring houses unstable.
Tbh if i was her neighbour i would've snitched too💀✋🏾 there is just no way I'm gonna risk a sink hole anywhere near my house just because someone wants a tunnel in their basement.
Yup...did she not watch the episode of king of the Hill where Dale made a tunnel from his house to Hank's? Like it caved in and then he tried to do it to the alley and nearly got himself, bill, and boomhauer killed.
She’s such a genius in the way she just learns all of this stuff but I really really wish she went to school for it and did this stuff as a job instead because this is so dangerous. But props to her for just learning electricity like that though.
To me, she is genuinely a horrible person and is taking advantage of her neighbors' fear of the police to do whatever she wants without consequences (she lives in a mostly immigrant neighborhood). Imagine having to deal with someone's constant construction noise for 3 years! Day and night!! Absolute torture. Let alone the danger she is putting their houses through!
@@rawano1yeah and also the fact that she is doing this absolutely illegally, putting tons of people in danger because nothing was inspected in the ground before minding it, nothing was planned, she’s just an unqualified random person doing this in a neighborhood
when i first saw her vids on my fyp, i was fully under the assumption that she had her own land and was doing this on a large property she owned, turns out she was in a suburban neighborhood with neighbors next door lmaooo. Still entertaining as fuck to just see someone randomly decide to start a mine.
I was watching a YT upload of it and realized I didn’t really care for his commentary on her and would rather just hear the breakdown on Kala. Love her btw
Personally, I think the biggest issue is the fact that these drawbacks happened because she didn't do the proper research in the first place. If Kala ever stopped to think "why don't more people dig tunnels under their houses?", or "why do workshops have designated welding space?", or "what's the difference between using fiberglass rebar and steel rebar?", then there would've been a lot less "learning experiences". It's like when Dale Gribble tried to build a guard tower in his yard. I don't even watch King of the Hill.
Great vid, I will only disagree with the neutrality of your presentation. The reason for that is that she's endangering herself (and her neighbors properties), she's giving an awful example to other adults or kids to do the same (there's a reason you need permit to build a tunnel) and she doesn't see how dangerous is to play with electricity, or remove house walls, foundations and plastic isolation against water. When the house collapses (it's not an if, it's when) I hope she's not inside of it. I'm sure then she will make a gofund me page to repeat the same mistake. Real engineers btw, first create the blueprint, then test the 3d model statics and then receive the permit to built it.
@shirashiraonthewall Next time I would also recomend finishing all you research before calling the person. That way your further research won't be impacted by what they are trying to make you believe and you are ready to confront them or call them out on your lies. I genuinely like the more neutral take. I prefer to make up my own mind on how I feel about things and that's just easier to do with a more neutral presentation for me
@@vanapirarayne738 I don't see how that was being rude. She admitted, that she didn't finish her research and I said how that impacted the video for me and made recommendations for the next video.
This doesnt seem to even scratch the surface of the concerns that people were reasonably having with Kala, it comes off as more of a half-baked puff piece that waves off valid concerns which is unfortunate because you appear to be quite a talented person when it comes to presentation, the skits were fun. Kala was digging below the slab of her house into areas that could seriously jeopardize the structural integrity of the neighboring homes in the tightly packed suburb that she lives in. One of the ways this can happen is if there are different sedimentary deposits below the land or air pockets that make for unstable ground on the surface, this has been a fatal flaw of tunnel projects in the past. She claimed to be an "engineer" even though she was simply a software engineer, which you had quickly brushed off before moving on. The "DIY" nature of her content has the potential to endanger or kill her or even viewers that may think it's safe to replicate some of the things she does. Engineering can be a fatal field, especially when working underground or with electricity in any capacity. One zap and you are dead. Full stop. I promise, I've known people that have been gravely disfigured in lesser instances and they actually knew what they were doing. Her thinking that it's a smart idea to advertise potentially life threatening naivety is foolish. The process of receiving a permit, especially when you're in the middle of digging an illegal tunnel, is thorough. If even one key element of the tunnel isnt up to code Her project will most likely be shut down, potentially permanently if it has led to infrastructural damage. The gross and disappointing irresponsibility and unreliability displayed on your part is moreso regarding your approach to talking about her neighbors, mainly the fact that after discussing that they were unaware of the scale of what was exactly happening until they were informed by Bogado and that a non-negligable portion of them were Central American migrants, who, in fear of potentially harmful unfair escalations of situations like these that may result from them reporting Kala, ended up staying silent, you jeered at the neighbor(s) that might've jeopardized themselves by rightfully "snitching" and proceeded to absolutely glaze Kala when talking about her response. Kala is in the running for the most arrogant person I’ve ever heard of. It is rare for a sole actor to attempt something of this scale and insane potential for failure. Even serial killers seem to think more about the ramifications of their actions than this woman, because they at least have a sense of self-preservation. Kala is wayyy too calm and open about what she is doing and I have to wonder, if she is so apathetic about the risk to her own life, is she even capable of caring about others lives and her own neighbors potentially dying because of her?
So, she's basically copying exactly what a guy in the UK (Colin Furze) is already well underway doing. He got planning permission to build an isolated underground bunker underneath his garden, and then started building tunnels to connect it to his shed, car garage and house so he could get to the bunker and shed "without having to walk outside in the rain". He applied for retroactive planning permission, which was initially strongly objected by the town council but after structural experts and geological experts were called in to check everything he got the planning application approved - provided the work gets inspected regularly and remains up to code. Main difference is he actually did a TON of research on how to do it safely, how deep to do it, how to reinforce the structure as he went, he constantly checks to make sure it won't have flooding or damp issues and that it's actually above the groundwater level. He also makes sure he has adequate ventilation and a quick way out should anything go wrong .. and wears proper gear when welding. And he does it in stages and invites his neighbours over to check out the current progress and gets their input on the whole project.
Fun fact my aunts and uncles actually dug out their own basement as kids 😅 bucket by bucket they got the dirt out and then finished it all floor and all
I’m just imagining the living nightmare this will be for whatever crew has to dig it out, probably years from now, covered in mold, flooded with groundwater, decaying and dark… that’s some true 00’s classic creepy pasta material there.
True I thought some of the footage looked like it was from Ana abandoned building or haunted house it legit looked terrifying down there all that’s left is the horror occurrence aspect-
woahh you are extremely underrated, you deserve way more! dont mean for this to sound rude but youre literally awesome and your content is super high quality, please keep making these videos i actually really enjoy them.
NGL. Regardless of anything else, her taking feedback from electricians and taking a break to actually learn what she was doing was a great move. I give her props for that. Even if other stuff she was doing could have had disastrous side effects, she did well at least learning that.
As a welder its extremely dumb to weld inside when you dont have curtains around or air extraction. Welding gasses can be very toxic. Its illegal to weld without air extraction or a kind of respirator at a workplace if you are not outside
if we put health and safety aside for a second, I just wish I had us much energy in a day. I come back from work and am too exhausted to start knitting much less build a tunnel
She WOULD tho like she be like : so my basement caught on fire but that’s fine all in a days work am I right guys? Oh also it flooded but that’s also fine!:D
People be taking their hobbies to another level these days. 🤯 I guess there are two kind of people: Those who have 5 billion different hobbies but never finish any project and those who take their entire house apart, spend tons of money on one hobby, actually get good at it, but take great risks.
I mean it’d be hella cool if she was doing this by herself LEGALLY but since she’s not yeah that’s kinda scary and I would’ve snitched also because that thing ain’t checked and if there’s RANDOM shaking in the ground I would’ve been concerned- I mean imagine your house just starts shaking outta nowhere that’s gotta be scary-
True but why would she tho? That thing would probably sell to someone for hundreds because it’s HER house the notorious aspect of it but it’s also her home and with all the work she’s put into it I can’t see her just up and abandoning it maybe when she’s dead I suppose which is a bit morbid to say but it feels like that would be the case here I mean I would not take that much time with a project on a house if I wasn’t wanting it to be my forever home would you?
I genuinely want to meet her so that I can try to help her redirect that gift of being a self starting problem solver into Minecraft Redstone and building content. She'd quickly become HUGE off her irl miner cred alone. ❤

Could it be possible she's autistic and construction/engineering is her special interest and mining the current hyperfixation? She also speaks in a rather monotone voice with some weird inflexions and has a great ability to learn new things quickly which are both traits that could suggest ASD.
we can play the "everybody is autistic" game together. What if her neighbours had sensory issues? Can you imagine living next to a nutjob who starts eternal construction in the suburbs?
This is my third consecutive video. The one about the "Lancer car A24 "director"" auto played after a movie reaction video. Then the one about the Stanley Cup madness auto played after that. And, here I am. Three videos and hooked.
Listening to the way she talks she seems… ✨special✨to some extent… I feel like this started as someone found a random crystal in her yard and was like “I bet there’s more under your house” and so she was like “yeah, I should dig and find out” Also, we don’t wanna talk about the fact she set up her camera, got in her car, drove then had to get back out, get the camera, set it up in her car again to get her boohoo reaction? 😂
Just as feedback, while I think you could have potentially been a little harder on her and her actions, the video itself is so well made. Your editing is so fun and quick paced. The zoom ins on you when you're talking to the camera add such a good layer and overall the presentation is so professional. Your jokes and your sketches hit and I genuinely thought you get one or two millions of views on every video you post. Anyway, I'll be here supporting for the foreseeable future. Also, adding the sources that you use in your videos in the description might be good.
This kind of work is better suited for an empty plot of land, not a residential area. Imo she should've chosen off grid living for her tunnel project where only she could face the possible consequences of her actions
I feel bad for her getting all that hate and address doxed just because of her potential political views. Americans take that stuff WAY too seriously and WAY too far - I've never known anyone from any other country that could receive that level of hate just because they support one party or another. People's political views don't always HAVE to be aired out in public, you're entitled to have your views AND keep them private if you want. This is one part of "investigative journalism" that I cannot stand. It's not ALWAYS in "the publics interest" to know these things!
She seems like a smart and capable women to do all that work herself but at the same time she was very reckless and she was not only putting herself in danger but her neighbours as well. There's a reason you need permits for this stuff and years of expertise and equipment which she clearly doesn't have. She should of probably started with smaller projects to get experience take a few courses on the side before attempting such a dangerous project.
This lady has so much perseverance, will, desire to learn to in achieve her goal and determination to never give up while having half of the internet telling her to stop that if one day she woke up set up into becoming the president of USA she may just actually win it…just to be obligated to resign because someone will end up snitching that 95% of things she did to get to the oval office were actually illegal. I still think it's amazing what she did, but perhaps she should have asked for a permit to do it first and more is she was documenting the process. The permits are slow but at least you know it will legal. Made me think about our neighbor that wanted to expand his pool my family and the other neighbor where ok with it, so he started his construction and was obligated to stop and pay a fine because he didn't ask for a permit. He actually was able to do it legally a year after.
So look i find it cool she wants to get into mining, but like couldn't she just do it in Minecraft... -__- or like go do a certificate in it or something like where she isn't going to cause her house to collapse or the area for her neighbours. She is a great learner but i think she needs someone on site to help her learn it or make sure she's being safe with it.
I thought for a second it was gonna turn out she was using the nearby immigrants to build the bunker for her and that she didn't actually build anything.
Huh well I guess it is safe then we’ll for any of those neighbors who are tired and have noise complaints y’all better start packing she ain’t stopping anytime soon.
She has a very monotone voice and expressionless way of communicating.. She sounds like she's reading a script every time she talks and she's probably not but it's just her demeanor.. Also you need to get special licensing You can't just do that to your house You can't just make a storm shelter This special things that you need and you also I believe you need a license person to do it and it needs to pass inspection.. A lot of the work she's doing is more than likely illegal.. Even if she's learning to do it the right way
I feel like she definitely didn’t have any ill intent while construction was taking place and safety was a priority, but there were also several mishaps (ie fire, flooding, and partial collapse), but overall I think the whole legal proceedings could have been avoided if she got a permit in the first place, and hired a few more professionals, I wouldn’t be stitching up an open wound even after watching a bunch of tutorials on the subject, too many things could go wrong, you know what I mean?

Main difference is he actually did a TON of research on how to do it safely, how deep to do it, how to reinforce the structure as he went, he constantly checks to make sure it won't have flooding or damp issues and that it's actually above the groundwater level. He also makes sure he has adequate ventilation and a quick way out should anything go wrong .. and wears proper gear when welding. And he does it in stages and invites his neighbours over to check out the current progress and gets their input on the whole project.
Fun fact my aunts and uncles actually dug out their own basement as kids 😅 bucket by bucket they got the dirt out and then finished it all floor and all
OMG LOL
@@shirashiraonthewallFIRST
I’m just imagining the living nightmare this will be for whatever crew has to dig it out, probably years from now, covered in mold, flooded with groundwater, decaying and dark… that’s some true 00’s classic creepy pasta material there.
True I thought some of the footage looked like it was from Ana abandoned building or haunted house it legit looked terrifying down there all that’s left is the horror occurrence aspect-
woahh you are extremely underrated, you deserve way more! dont mean for this to sound rude but youre literally awesome and your content is super high quality, please keep making these videos i actually really enjoy them.
You are way too sweet! It’s slowly picking up yay heheh
@@shirashiraonthewall omg yay I'm so glad that you're slowly but surely getting the fame you deserve! ❤
im a little too invested in this tunnel lady now goddamn
HAHAHAH same
Are we recapping Kala's villain origin story?!?!?
Why does she need a "network of tunnels" for a "storm shelter"?!?!?
She wants those stones lol she’s strip mining for that Minecraft castle she plans to build. LMAO
You with glasses is like superman becoming clark kent
LMAO
Dad: can you come help me with something real quick?
The something:
Can’t wait for the next ‘KALA Update’
if we put health and safety aside for a second, I just wish I had us much energy in a day. I come back from work and am too exhausted to start knitting much less build a tunnel
The second i saw her, i knew she did not get permits. She just seems the type but i am all for it.
Im in my first year of an electrician apprenticeship struggling... HOW TF DID TSUE DO THAT SO FAST?N
Okay but how is she so calm like she’ll fr be like
“My house just collapsed into itself with my 3 year old child in it. 😐”
She WOULD tho like she be like : so my basement caught on fire but that’s fine all in a days work am I right guys? Oh also it flooded but that’s also fine!:D
8:48 haha I thought she would say she has a doctorate in art history or smth, still considered a doctor, but is she really?
But of i was her neighbor I would be so fed up that I would snitch I’m sorry 💀but hunny I need no sink hole nor noise 😭😭
People be taking their hobbies to another level these days. 🤯
I guess there are two kind of people: Those who have 5 billion different hobbies but never finish any project and those who take their entire house apart, spend tons of money on one hobby, actually get good at it, but take great risks.
"how can my house collapse? Grass blocks don't have gravity!"
Awsome video as always Shira!!!
Thank you!
great video! came here from hasan's stream!
Thanks for coming!!!!
I mean it’d be hella cool if she was doing this by herself LEGALLY but since she’s not yeah that’s kinda scary and I would’ve snitched also because that thing ain’t checked and if there’s RANDOM shaking in the ground I would’ve been concerned- I mean imagine your house just starts shaking outta nowhere that’s gotta be scary-
I love her and her vibe but oh my god the whole thing is so unhinged lmao
Dude if she abandoned her house and nobody buys it that would be a cool place to explore
That changed my mind that is a good like uhh I forgot the word but it did change my mind about her abandoning the house
I genuinely want to meet her so that I can try to help her redirect that gift of being a self starting problem solver into Minecraft Redstone and building content. She'd quickly become HUGE off her irl miner cred alone. ❤
TRUEEEE
@@shirashiraonthewall I talked to her and her Minecraft world is genuinely remarkable. Would you, please, consider doing a video about her Minecraft world, because she truly deserves recognition for building on this world for a full decade! I really want to watch her actually be seen for the beautiful positive things she has done. I'm currently keeping my eye on her channel and egerly awaiting her full world tour. Thank you for alerting me to this content creator. I know a lot of people are giving you flack for going easy on her, but I appreciate seeing the human side of the story that you provided.
How to kill your neighbour book is wild
Not the building official’s name being “Jack Smith” shutting down the mine project 😂😂
shira with another banger
Yay!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great video Shira
THANK YOU!!!

Hey! I really enjoyed your psychics video, they werent lying when they said you would be succesful lmao, new sub
you're too sweet but im not even close to being there yet hahaha but i really appreciate you for being here!!!
@@shirashiraonthewall im sure youre getting there! your videos are very nice to watch :D
She looks exactly like Tony Boy, an italian rapper... it's scary
“Hot girl walk…….”
😂😂
Could it be possible she's autistic and construction/engineering is her special interest and mining the current hyperfixation?
She also speaks in a rather monotone voice with some weird inflexions and has a great ability to learn new things quickly which are both traits that could suggest ASD.
Thats what I thought too. Anyway, she's so impressive for this determination 😭
we can play the "everybody is autistic" game together. What if her neighbours had sensory issues? Can you imagine living next to a nutjob who starts eternal construction in the suburbs?
17:18 “how to kill your neighbor” got me rolling on the floor 😂
I mean we all want THAT guide sometimes lol 😂 like for that one neighbor who’s music we can hear blaring whilst we’re trying to sleep-
I was watching the video thinking what would happen if a tornado hit tunnel and it was all ruined
Found your channel today and I love the fun in these videos 😅😊 your hair is also very stunning. I'm going to subscribe I enjoy your content
you are too sweeet!!!
This is my third consecutive video.
The one about the "Lancer car A24 "director"" auto played after a movie reaction video.
Then the one about the Stanley Cup madness auto played after that.
And, here I am. Three videos and hooked.
i’m here bc i got bored of the same videos i watch daily. deff gonna come here more often xoxo ‼️
Yay thank u!!!!!!
Listening to the way she talks she seems… ✨special✨to some extent… I feel like this started as someone found a random crystal in her yard and was like “I bet there’s more under your house” and so she was like “yeah, I should dig and find out”
Also, we don’t wanna talk about the fact she set up her camera, got in her car, drove then had to get back out, get the camera, set it up in her car again to get her boohoo reaction? 😂
lol yep sounds about right if we wanna place any bets there-
That government guy says "basically" a lot.
Just an observation.
Kala reminds me of harry from resident alien. Even talks like him lmfao
I really want to be a fly on the wall when the aliens or some other top species in the future find the tunnel. 😂
or the real estate agent tries to sell the house LMAO "so we have this...errr... tunnel in the basement...."
@@shirashiraonthewalllmao
The real estate agent: But really it’s all fine a lovely house all in all! Trust me! 😃 it’s totally safe 💯!
The buyer:No.🙄
Watched this from Hasanabi. Came to show my support and subscribe. Your videos are very entertaining.
Thank you for the amazing feedback!!!!
I'm here from the Hasan video and I said "oh a smaller creator I haven't seen before? nvm I'm just gonna watch her video instead"
YOURE SO SWEET 🥰🥰😍🥰🥰😍🥰😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😍😍❤️❤️❤️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
This kind of work is better suited for an empty plot of land, not a residential area. Imo she should've chosen off grid living for her tunnel project where only she could face the possible consequences of her actions
year of the tunnel lets gooo
The neighbor be like: did she buy nyc subway
Man its like she can have life, and can support her country
She should of probably started with smaller projects to get experience take a few courses on the side before attempting such a dangerous project.
shes awful for endangering everyone. God Bless!
YOU GOT HER ON THE PHONE OMG
Tbh sounds cool to have a storm shelter
Came here cuz of hasan awesome video 😊
Yay!!!
Found you because of Hasan reacting to your video!
HELLO!!!
Hello!! Im subscribing to your channel, you are a great creator. @@shirashiraonthewall
i really hope that she bought the house and isn't a renter lol
she is the original mother from barbarian i fear
this lady could be hired for an electrician at this point- but seriously THIS 👏🏼 IS 👏🏼 WHY 👏🏼 YOU 👏🏼 NEED 👏🏼 A.. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 permitttt… 📣
Hasan sent me here

Samesies 👋🏻
I thought for a second it was gonna turn out she was using the nearby immigrants to build the bunker for her and that she didn't actually build anything.
she's gotten the permit for anyone wondering :]
OH WOW FINALLY
really :O
Huh well I guess it is safe then we’ll for any of those neighbors who are tired and have noise complaints y’all better start packing she ain’t stopping anytime soon.

Hi Joevero4568
You're so pretty! I love your voice!

Hey i watched your van life video your video are very good i am really enjoying your videos your voice quality are so good love from india
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Damn, She took Dale Gribble to a whole new level lmao
😂 😅 rage bait at its finest!
Even if she's learning to do it the right way
IK THIS IS A REUPLOAD BUT ❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
im just wondering....WHERE DOES SHE GET THE MONEY TO FUND FOR ALL THESE?!?!?1
From her engineering* job of course
*(Computer engineering)
Great vid!
Thank you!!!
Love the video!!!!, btw you kinda look like Somi
Thank you! I get told that a lot lol
wheres the galvanized square steel??
I came here from the hasan video and I really like your videos, Can’t wait for the next one
awwww im so glad you liked it!! thank you for being here!!!
I feel like she definitely didn’t have any ill intent while construction was taking place and safety was a priority, but there were also several mishaps (ie fire, flooding, and partial collapse), but overall I think the whole legal proceedings could have been avoided if she got a permit in the first place, and hired a few more professionals, I wouldn’t be stitching up an open wound even after watching a bunch of tutorials on the subject, too many things could go wrong, you know what I mean?
agreed
