- That is correct! I was able to break into tech with absolutely NO experience. In this video, I'm answering questions I've received on IG and TikTok in response to one of my recent videos (@its.amina.ali). I thought it would be more helpful and insightful to create this video instead of replying on those platforms with limited text! If you're trying to break in to the Tech Industry, I hope this gives you some home because I had no idea about Tech until like 2020 lol!
I was able to get my AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification via Udemy!! I highly recommend for those who are able to study on their own time. I'm studying for my next one rn! www.udemy.com/

I’m a new person every 5yrs…I like that
Great video! As a former teacher myself, I can totally relate to these mistakes. It's so important for educators transitioning into new careers to be aware of these pitfalls. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your comment! I really appreciate it. Also, I just looked at your channel and I love your content! I'm so happy there's other former teachers providing transitional support! Definitely much needed, keep going!
Great Video! Thank you for sharing ❤
I appreciate it, thank you for your comment!
I'm so glad I came across this. I'm currently a high school science teacher in the UK. I'm tired of it. I have just started learning coding. I have young children, and I wanted to get certified for a job I can do from home. Nothing comes easy, but I want out of teaching.
Thank you for sharing!! As a fellow former HS science teacher, I can relate. Teaching can be really tough physically, mentally, and emotionally. Even financially tbh. I'm proud of you for finding the time to learn to code! It doesn't come easy but I know you've got this 🙏🏾 You already took the first step!🥳
No offense, but I wouldn’t suggest anyone use this as a guide. This is not typical at all. Also contracting is very volatile. You’re very fortunate but this is like giving advice on how to win the lottery. Congratulations but getting a contract before you know anything about coding is absolutely not normal.
I'm not suggesting using this video as a guide, I'm simply speaking on my experience. I'm not taking offense to your comment at all, just wanted to clarify that for teachers, especially, it was possible for me to transition careers. Everyone's journey and experience will certainly be different.
I am a new subscriber to your channel. Great content, I have a question, I am pursuing a career in software engineering. What are useful certifications I should obtain to go into the field equipping myself with good working tools. Thanks again for great content, Amina.
Hi! Thank you for reaching out! Hmm I'm not a software developer so it's hard for me to say. I would recommend doing some research. What I know for sure is courses that prepare you for software developer certifications can be found on Udemy or Coursera!
You get an A+. on this video!
Thank you!!
Thank you for the video!

Yes, the SAFe stands for Scaled Agile Framework!
You said Deloitte is NEW to the consulting game?????????? Lady no just NO Deloitte been in the game since Arthur Anderson now Accenture it’s Big 4 I worked at all of them in the early 2000’s in tech. Please retract that statement. Thanks.
Deloitte was originally an accounting firm for about a century and established Deloitte Consulting in 1995! In comparison to other firms, Deloitte is relatively "new" to consulting. Thanks.
What type of super powers do these consultants have that they can just learn to code for a project and then just move on to something else as if its like learning to make fries at McDonalds
😂😂😂 Google!
