I know tech isn’t going anywhere and I’ve been trying to break into it making a livable amount. I definitely have over 6+ years in sales. I just subscribed. Thank you.
Sales is extremely valuable in tech so your 6+ years experience will pay off big! They can make it but they can’t make money unless someone helps them sell it!
One way to gain entry is through a temp agency or tech recruiter. My friends have had great success using them as resources to gain employment into better paying jobs. Also when companies are hiring a large amount of employees at once due to a new call center opening or moving operations to another state etc, they tend to use contract agencies to help with potential candidates especially if their HR department isn't equipped with enough manpower to screen and hire large groups at once.
This route can provide an opportunity for candidates without an extensive amount of hands on experience an opportunity to be on somewhat of an level playing field with more experienced candidates. The downside is it could be a couple dollars less per hour than direct hire candidates because usually you are under contract with the agency that got you the job and that $2.00 per hour usually goes toward their operating expenses/how they get paid, however there is usually an end date for the contract period and in most cases if you've been productive and taken those opportunities to " shine" then the company will pobably extend an offer when your contract term is up and at that point you can negotiate a higher salary. Just sharing some experiences myself or coworkers have discussed over the years. I hope it helps!
Agreed! Especially, with the layoffs in the tech industry which I’ve been paying attention to. I don’t know why he’s not discussing that and the possibilities of anyone not getting hiring at this time.

Hey Nice content, I did apply in the past but they replied me saying they are only considering candidates based the US for now. I am based in Canada and I find that a lot of remote offers still select based on geographical location.
I agree that does seem to be a trend. I will be on the look out for Canada friendly opportunities as well.

Since they offer both remote and on site positions the interview style may vary. I think they usually are looking to add w2 employees but I you should ask about the independent contractor option once they reach out.
