I just finished the center section and am using the exact same yarn in the video. It's absolutely stunning (pricey yarn though, in my area). For those of you that haven't tried it yet, hang onto your britches because that half double crochet slip stitch border, while absolutely gorgeous and worth the effort is difficult in my opinion to manipulate back and forth. Once you get it started it's not as bad. Get your rhythm going but be very patient when you first start as it does take some finagling. I suspect it is not the yarn, the designer, or the pattern but user error. I'm just not that coordinated. 🤗 I am so appreciative of the pattern and will definitely try a few of the others. The tutorial is wonderful! Please keep up the wonderful work!
i’m a beginner crocheter and i’m so so so glad i found your channel!! i love blankets and your blankets are mostly intermediate beginner, it’s not only helped me advance my beginner crochet skills but thanks to you, i get to make my toddler his nap blankets for daycare, which means so much to me that he loves that i make his blankets. i’ve picked up crochet knitting and sewing during the pandemic and i feel good that become an advanced crocheter knitter and seamstress by the time i become a grandma! i’m almost done making this blanket for my so in shades of blue also using patons canadians yarn (the green tea colors weren’t available at the time of starting this blanket) and my son is a already asking me when he can bring it to school for his naps. Thank you so much for sharing and making these videos, your blankets are a perfect blend of modern and cozy, and just a great way to help me on my crochet journey. wish you and your family good health and joy in this pandemic 💕
oh i forgot to write what i wanted to ask you! lol can you link to a video where you show more on how to make the border? it’s beautiful and i would love to see more detail if you already have a video made. thank you!!
Totally loving the ribbing stitch around the blanket. It really highlights the blanket stitch so well. Got my yarn today, and going to attempt to crochet after 10+ years of not lifting a hook !!!
You will do GREAT. I LEARNED THE GRANNY STITCHES 40 years ago by my Wonderful Grandmother. Now I am a Grandmother. You Tube “University” has made my blankets more Diverse, Stylish, Beautiful and more commercial appearance. Enjoy ☺️
What a beautifully color coordinated gingham blanket! I did my first gingham blanket using one of your video tutorials using black and red. It made a pretty baby blanket that matched the baby's color theme! I've never seen a border like this and love how it just compliments the overall look!
I love how helpful you are and explain everything your doing. I’m going to make this pattern in a full size blanket for a bridal shower gift. Thank you

Hi Tiffany, This is really beautiful and I would love to make it - thanks so much for creating such a beautiful pattern! Would it be possible for you to give instruction to make squared corners on the border instead of rounded? Thanks in advance, Cheryl
I am going to give this a try. I have some colors ivory, Taupe, and espresso that I think would be pretty. What type of border did you use? Is their a video for it?
Beautiful blanket design thank you for this video, I have a question; does carrying out the yarn through makes the blanket heavier? Also how much extra yarn we are adding through the process I mean like how much extra percentage of yarn we are adding compared as if we are not carrying the yarn through. Thank you 🌺
I started a Gingham yesterday. Using Caron Simply Soft yarn. Chain was down with a H and body I used an I hook. The blanket bottom edge is curved. Why does this happen and what can I do in the future to avoid?
Hola daisy que hermoso trabajo, la felicito y muchas gracias por enseñar, quisiera preguntar si no es inconveniente " que medida debería tener una manta aproximadamente
Hi there! Here is a link to a blog post on how to complete it. daisyfarmcrafts.com/griddle-stitch/ We do have some videos on the griddle stitch for gingham blankets.
No, she has several other gingham tutorials utilizing a variety of stitches. Just go to her TH-cam, click on playlists, and it will be labeled gingham.
First off, I like gingham Secondly, I generally hate green. Born in the '60s, amongst the beautiful flowery colors of love, but at the age of awareness in the '70s , I was traumatized by avocado green kitchen appliances and cabinets and countertops of apple green. Granny Smith apple green tile. Thanks I have chills now... but wait it gets worse! Thirdly, I have IRL PTSD involving the color gray, actual Grey Flannel, the designer fragrance, as well as the cloth itself, most especially the little gray bags that that fragrance comes in. But wait... it gets better! Forthwithly, I say unto thee, methinkest that I art set free; Renewed, I amst with poetry o' heart at the beauty of thine fine fiber art. I love your green and gray gingham blanket. The colors are amazing well matched. And I didn't get sick to my stomach once, or get a headache while you talked about them and fondled them before my eyes. I am truly overjoyed, and I hope you liked my little spur-of-the-moment slightly comical caricaturized Olde English attempt at metered poetry. It's my thanks for the tutorial.
I cannot wait till Friday to pick up three different colored greens that is absolutely the prettiest blanket I see I have to make it
I like the griddle stitch. It looks close woven. I like that.
