We’re Australians travelling through Scotland… in the Cairngorms I saw a unicorn but my husband says it was a white horse. I told him it was because he didn’t believe so it didn’t show it’s real self to him 😂 I’m telling you now, it was a unicorn 🦄
"Sorry Martha if you're listening"😂 In every vehicle I've owned, if I've insulted it whilst driving, I always apologise and maybe give the stearing wheel a little pat.
Back in 1997 I was making my way to the west coast via a non standard route and as I pasted the last fuel station for quite a while, a few km on the road I found a guy carrying an empty jerry can. This guy was a French tourist that had hired a diesel camper and didn't realise that he was almost out of diesel so he parked before running out and was making his way back to the fuel station. I gladly gave him a lift back to the fuel station and back to the camper! I told him that he was lucky that I was driving this way because it's not a popular route and he wouldn't have got to the fuel station before it closed!
You guys keep topping yourselves every time you put out a video. This is just fantastic. TH-cam, stop being an arse and get these two another 234K subscribers!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

What a difference having some cracking weather makes. The steam train was gorgeous, all that beautiful wood, loved it. Having the drone shots is so fab, being able to see the scenery from a totally different perspective. 'Quite nice' indeedy. Thanks for sharing. 😍
I too get shocks especially from trolleys, I even pass the shock on to folk !🔌🛒 We (hubby watching now too) so enjoy your videos, they're over too quickly. Keep wowing at Tasmania's beauty & your ability to film & share.❤
What the difference a day makes. There is no doubt about it, when the skies are blue, the sun shining, it makes you feel so good ☀️ Yes static, when I take my shirt off at night, it's like a firework display Another great watch guys. 👍🐸
Awww another wonderful video, and now Tasmania is on my bucket list…..just wish you’d seen a wombat Keely 🥹💚 Oh and thanx Philly for reminding me of my Belfast granny, she used to say ‘wind yer neck in’ too, though more often she’d say to me ‘yer heads cut’ when I was blethering 😆 Happy NI memories. Love to you both 💖💖
So pretty. The water looks so blue. I thought for sure you would go for a swim. That train was amazing. I am so glad that you shared it with us. Keep adventuring!!!
I walked along that train track about 30 years ago when it was overgrown and unused. I lived in Queenstown at the time. It was an old train line made in about 1896 to deliver copper ore to the port of Strahan. When I lived there, the copper mine was operating. The hills then were completely bare and locals would go up and pull out the bushes growing as they liked their bare hills. Those bare hills started then green movement.
Must be an Emerson thing, happens to me all the time! I actually have to get Claire to change Tahlia’s bedsheets as the springs in her mattress shock me so bad lol
Thank you for sharing another wonderful adventure, allowing me to live it all vicariously through you. The best channel on here . Enjoy and take care ❤
What a ripper of a day!!!!! And stunning weather. Now your getting to see why it's etched in my brain 51 years later. Yes Philly I too get zapped and certain electrical appliances I get the feels from. And ask hubby feel that and he can't feel it. He looks at me like I have lost the plot when I say I feel a prickling hum. We were setting up a tv antenna and I was being shocked by it. It has no power!!!!!! 😅😂. Great craic as always.
It's to do with body frequency. And is worse if there is wind about as we become charged by it. I was told it's because your wearing nylon but it happens with wearing cotton as well. But synthetic fibres heighten the charge for sure. Have fun guys your travelling in paradise. Ppl under rate Tasmania but it is truly beautiful
Some of the best days I’ve ever had were spontaneous adventures! That train ride with sparkling wine and food , and panning for gold and that background with the super weather was epic ! Tazmania looks absolutely gorgeous! 😍❤ xx
New to your channel. My wife & I are from Melbourne. Did the Europe back packing trip in 1983/4. Came back and was asked too many times "When are you going overseas again?" I had a cousin living in Howrah at the time so (before children came along) in 1986 spent our annual leave in the island state. We toured via a large motorcycle (the same one we went around Europe in 1983/4). Later an opportunity came up through my employer to work in Devonport for at least three years and with all me doing at least 10 hour days plus long commutes working and living in Tasmania seemed ideal. Then came the recession of the early 1990s and I was retrenched with the option of being paid to go back to Melbourne. It took me a night to change my wife's opinion to come over so when she told me that she would not go back we made Tassie our home. No Regrets.
@@phillyandkeely There are great coffee places in Tassie but you have to know where. It is amazing how Tassie has changed. In 1991 only instant coffee was available outside Hobart and Launceston.

Awe really enjoyed this week's video loved the train trip and delighted the weather was good for you. Glad you are taking it easy and stopping in towns that you like for a few days. The outback was intense you deserve the relaxation ❤️😊Great views really like Tasmania so far 👍
It's more than likely a combination of either your shoes and the clothes you wear. Polyester and non rubber sole shoes will cause shocks. You can buy an anti static spray from coles/woolies which will stop that. Spray it onto your clothes before you leave for the day. Also check what shoes you're wearing and moisturise your hands after washing them will help too
Omg I love watching you guys. You do everything with so much gusto and enthusiasm. We are visiting Tasmania end of December and January for a month. Watching you makes me wish this year away so we can start our adventure. So many beautiful things to see. Hope it makes us a happy as it does you guys.

Its so true , after travelling in our campervan you realise when you get home you dont need so much stuff to make you happy. Such a lovely family , we really enjoy watching your adventures 🥰
Tasmania looks amazing! Fun fact: dry skin can cause static electricity, as can clothes made from synthetic materials. Time to get the moisturiser out Philly !⚡️

Randomly scrolling through TH-cam and I seen your thumbnail and instantly knew it was my home town and I haven't been back in over twenty years but that image made me watch and totally enjoy your video I loved seeing Queenie through your eyes made me home sick.. fun fact I moved from Queenie to Devonport and I learnt to drive many years ago up Gormy hill aka 99 bends
Wow imagine learning to drive on that road! You would be a master 💪💪⛰️⛰️ such a. Beautiful town, so glad you found our video! We love Tasmania and Queenstown ❤️
The West coast gets "the roaring 40's" weather from across the Indian Ocean. Its not typical of the whole island. If you want an amazing lookout spot, try Potter's Hill in South Arm
Yep, ever since i was young i've received shocks from touching any metal. What I also have is very fine hair that is very very static. I assume it's connected in some way. I have to have a strip of rubber fitted to my back bumper to help eliminate shocks off the car. When I was a student nurse we used to have nylon blankets on the beds and all the beds had a metal base. I used to get shocked every time i made a bed. One time the nylon blanket flipped up and hit my eye. It shot the white bright red. I've broken loads of hairdryers too. I sympathise with Philly.
I loved your video so much. It's great to see that part of Tassie. After watching this, I'm feeling like I must take off and have a good look around Tas. I don't know if it's because of the time of year, with a low sun, but the colours in Tassie look so unique, compared to the rest of Australia. It was like looking at 1970s photography, or is that your editing?. That little steam train experience must have been nice - 120 yrs old, beautiful. I'm learning more about Tassie from you both than I have in a lifetime of living here. So thank you, and I am so looking forward to the rest of your travels here. Queenstown is very barren, something to do with mining processes that permanently burnt and destroyed the vegetation, I think it was the mining tailings. Take care, stay safe!! Again, just love this video. xxx.
Thanks so much Jo, that's so kind of you to say ❤️❤️ I don't think it's our editting I think that's just Tasmania haha, we try do minimal colour grading on our videos. The steam train was soooo nice ❤️❤️🚂🚂
I'm one of the 3 peeps that live in Queenstown 😅 and it made my little heart sing to see you enjoying it soo much!! Travel safe, beware of wildlife on the road after 4pm and buy a hot water bottle, it gonna get cold xx
Your train ride reminded me of the Siverton Durango Narrow Gauge steam train in Colorado, it's operated since 1882. Philly do you wear a lot of synthetic fiber clothes instead of natural like cotton? Are the soles of your shoes natural or synthetic as this can make people more prone to static, also a larger person will often feel it more. Hope you get to see some more critters and glad to see you got to pan for gold, if only for a short while. Take care and thanks for the share today.
Yeah I think we need to make a move to more natural fibres in our clothes! We've been transitioning slowly across, only buying new things that are cotton etc, but I think it might be time for a purge of our old polyester clothes
Love that train! 1896 - a good year, at least as far as I'm concerned, cos my grandad was born then... we've got long generational gaps on my dad's side of things. The struggle is real, but this video is like crazy-relief and very uplifting! Cheers, me'dears! PS - Dingo's got barn door aerodynamics, so uses waaaay more fuel battering through the air at highway speeds. 😁👍
Hi, I have just been introduced to your channel by watching one of my favourite couples, on Camper Vibe. I live in Devonport in Tasmania so that is where I have started watching. I have loved the first 2 videos, places I have been. I love the bush ( forrest) and spend a lot of time travelling Tasmanian with photography friends. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Susan, so glad you found us through Emily and Lou ❤️❤️ they are wonderful souls. And so awesome that you are from Tasmania, it's a very special part of the world, it stole our hearts 🥰🥰
I thought the steam train was awesome, I’ve added it to my bucket list. Northwest Tasmania looks brilliant and the drone shots were excellent thank you. Yes, Philly I get electric shocks off everything as well. Even off carpets sometimes. 😮 thank you, Keely for all those fun facts 😊
Spontaneity is the best guys!! The ancient Steam Train looks amazing & Vegan food etc….as I said we love Tassie! So happy for you both experiencing the incredible views & FRESH AIR!! ❤️🐨🦔🤗
Queenstown is a lovely place, went there for the cog steam train, was a great day. I google how many sunny days Queenstown has in a year, you were lucky enough to get 1 of 29.
Another great video guys! Tasmania is awesome. I remember seeing Tasmanian devils there but they were in a wildlife sanctuary. My partner and I were heading off to see some historic ruins and stopped at a cafe that also sold antiques. The view was amazing and over looked a lake with people fishing. It was so serene we lost our enthusiasm to drive on and ended up staying to polish off a nice bottle of wine. Salamanca markets in Hobart were also fascinating. Re: that pic you took of the possum, they are normally very shy and won't approach you, but I too wandered thru the Fitzroy gardens once, where you took that pic and the possums came right up to us. I can tell you they normally don't like interacting with humans, but as that park is near a bunch of restaurants, I guess they figure it's worth the risk to get Pizza 😂 Have fun! 😊
@@phillyandkeely They were making so much noise and fighting. Which I was told they always do. Definately worthwhile checking them out. They are very unusual indeed 😂
Did you notice the little river along the side of the railway? The colour of Fanta … runoff from the tailings. I too, get those static shocks, every metal i touch i use my palm, seems to minimise the effect. Cheers to you both
Well done guys another happy video. Yes electric shocks, too scared to touch shopping trolleys open fridge doors at the supermarket and even stroke my dog. Haha Enjoy making these beautiful memories and I shall come along for the ride. ❤
You came up on my feed in your last episode and decided to check you guys out, probably because you are visiting my island home. I'm so glad I did. Really enjoying your content. If you want to see an amazing creature called an Eastern Quoll in the wild here, there is a camp in the NE, at Mathinna called Griffin Park. Of a night, these amazing carnivorous animals come, and they are incredible to see. Looking forward to watching you both some more as you discover the magic of this incredible Island.
Thanks so much, so glad you decided to check us out. Tasmania is soooo beautiful ❤️ we are loving our time exploring this beautiful state, would be epic to see a quoll!

Love your channel. Fun loving couple. Lots of ups and downs over the months, but hang in there. The good outweighs the bad. Thanks for sharing your van-life adventures. I’m sending a link to another couple’s van-life adventures., by Snow & Curt. They’ve been doing van life for about 5 yrs and have had all lot of similar experiences to you over the years, such as breakdowns, thefts, and so on but they keep on going. This link is a clip about an attack on their van while they were sleeping, by a crowbar wielding assailant, and what saved them. You might want to consider this safety tip from their experience. They’ve been living in their van for about five years, and are planning to travel around the world for another five years. They’ve been through the US, Central and South America, and then shipped their van from Brazil to Belgium and are traveling through Europe They did this last Christmas in France, then headed south in search of sunny, warmer weather, in Spain, Italy and so on. Currently they are in Albania for Carnival. Anyway, they have a lot of good tips on van-life. They also travel with two beautiful cats, G-Money and Vanna. Snow and Curt are in their early fifties, and are such a nice, fun loving couple. They have done a fantastic job sharing their video adventures with their followers, learning as they go. Yeah Hiace are so good aren't they!!
Good video. Looks beautiful. ❤ BTW, Lough Ness is 240m deep. 😂
Thankyou 🥰 yes I've been schooled now 😂 I misremembered 140 not ,240
The West coast gets "the roaring 40's" weather from across the Indian Ocean. Its not typical of the whole island. If you want an amazing lookout spot, try Potter's Hill in South Arm
That's interesting that the weather comes across the ocean!
Wow that's so interesting, you seem very charged up! Philly has fine hair too I wonder if that's a factor, like it charges you up or something haha.
Stunning 🤩
Really was 🥰
Those great drone shots really show what mining did to those hills, (and it has recovered significantly in recent decades).
Yeah big impact for sure!
Hi Philly and Keely. What a great trip on the steam train 🚂. Spectacular views of the waterfall. Tasmania looks beautiful in the sun. Take care. Nick
Thanks Nick, train was so cool eh!
Tasmania is really sensational Keely and Philly. Thanks a million for showing us cool
Spots and I loved the steam train so cool
Thanks so much Annie 🥰 it really is beautiful
I'm one of the 3 peeps that live in Queenstown 😅 and it made my little heart sing to see you enjoying it soo much!! Travel safe, beware of wildlife on the road after 4pm and buy a hot water bottle, it gonna get cold xx
Thanks so much ❤️❤️ Queenstown was awesome
Your train ride reminded me of the Siverton Durango Narrow Gauge steam train in Colorado, it's operated since 1882. Philly do you wear a lot of synthetic fiber clothes instead of natural like cotton? Are the soles of your shoes natural or synthetic as this can make people more prone to static, also a larger person will often feel it more. Hope you get to see some more critters and glad to see you got to pan for gold, if only for a short while. Take care and thanks for the share today.
C.W.McCall did a song about that railroad, the tune is both exciting & steam-train-ey!
Yeah I think we need to make a move to more natural fibres in our clothes! We've been transitioning slowly across, only buying new things that are cotton etc, but I think it might be time for a purge of our old polyester clothes
what a difference to the rainswept landscape of last week guys, so pretty and interesting, such a happy little vlog!! made me smile 😁😁
Thanks so much ❤️❤️
Love that train!
That's cute that year of grandad. Hope you are well, we missed your comments for a long time! Happy to have you back with us in the chat 🥰🥰
@@phillyandkeely Thank you!
Excellent loved it ❤❤❤
Thanks Stella ❤️❤️
Glad the weather turned it on cheers
Yeah us too Cheryl ❤️ so beautiful
That steam train was fab. Glad the weather picked up for ye x
So cool wasn't it!!
Thanks Jackie glad you enjoyed them ❤️❤️
O thanks I love trains. It looked lovely
Such a cool train!!
28c here and i am smelting. Dutch summer has started. Staying inside watching yt!🎉
Irish summer has started 🌧️🌧️🌧️ 😂😂
@@phillyandkeely i am boiling. I wish we had rain !
So stoked to see you enjoying my beautiful home state of Tassie ❤👏
Such a beautiful place 🥰🥰
Spontaneity is the best guys!! The ancient Steam Train looks amazing & Vegan food etc….as I said we love Tassie! So happy for you both experiencing the incredible views & FRESH AIR!! ❤️🐨🦔🤗
Thanks so much Pamela ❤️❤️❤️
Queenstown is a lovely place, went there for the cog steam train, was a great day. I google how many sunny days Queenstown has in a year, you were lucky enough to get 1 of 29.
Wow very lucky with those odds! ☀️☀️
Love that you were also in Fitzroy Garden, those possum's are practically domesticated at this point! Would love to see Tasmanian Devil
@@phillyandkeely They were making so much noise and fighting. Which I was told they always do. Definately worthwhile checking them out. They are very unusual indeed 😂
Beautiful. What a day. Question what drone do you use now?
Thankyou ❤️ we use the mini 3 pro. Got a full gear list on our website of everything we use for filming 💪📹
Omg! Only 5 minutes in and this video has brought me so much joy already ❤❤❤
Awww thanks so much Elizabeth, that made us both smile to read, thankyou 🥰🥰
Did you notice the little river along the side of the railway? The colour of Fanta … runoff from the tailings. I too, get those static shocks, every metal i touch i use my palm, seems to minimise the effect. Cheers to you both
Yeah the river is very tangerine haha. Signs everywhere saying not to drink it, contaminated with metals from the mines
Well done guys another happy video. Yes electric shocks, too scared to touch shopping trolleys open fridge doors at the supermarket and even stroke my dog. Haha
Enjoy making these beautiful memories and I shall come along for the ride. ❤
Thanks Jacqueline, wow so many people experience the extreme static too, he's not alone!
And straight up… the sexy coffee montage is back! 😂
Yesss ☕☕ nice slow sexy montage, coffee needs appreciated haha
Who knew Tasmania was heaven on earth!!! Just stunning! And loved the " threace out" comment 🤣
Haha love that you noticed that threace out 😂😂
You came up on my feed in your last episode and decided to check you guys out, probably because you are visiting my island home.
I have the electric zapp thing going on. I have worked out that if I flick the metal quickly with the back of my fingers before I grab it, I don’t get zapped😂😂
Love ya work. 😂
Oooo he will have to try that flick thing!!
Yay! Got up at sparrow’s fart to catch this one! Miss you beautiful humans so much! ❤
Thanks Lisa 🥰 appreciate your lack of sleep for us haha
Awesome video!!❤
Thanks Angela ❤️
Hi kids😊🤗 hey Philly, my two sons and I spark off each other all the time ,also the clothesline, trampoline, kitchen sink. 😅💖💖✌
Thanks Betty 🥰 that's cute that you are all as electrically charged as eachother haha
Such a lovely film guys - so good to see you two having the best time. Tasmania looks AMAZING!
Thanks so much 🥰🥰 yeah it's so beautiful here
You two are adorable .
Love Keely's laugh.
Wishing you both many more laughs and great adventures.❤
Thanks so much Jane ❤️❤️
Much Respect to all you brave van-lifers for your sharing your lives with all of us. Blessings to all of you.

Thanks so much for sharing, we have just subscribed to them now 💪
That was one brilliant day , everything was stunning. From the stream train to the big lake that was like Lough Neagh, only there was no green gunge growing it..
Philly don't worry about potatoes, coffee is all that matters.
Very best wishes to you both.
Hahaha, it's all that matters for sure (but i do love a potato)
Sorry...I forgot to congratulate Keely on her superb drone footage...perfect.
Yeah the beauty is astounding , and they take care of it , kudos to Tasmania . Very well done , right so right . 🫶🐾❤️
Yeah they really do ❤️❤️
Philly nothing beats a plate of mashed potatoes and gravy.👍🏴💯💥
Yessss 💪❤️
Well, maybe neeps & tatties 😊
Loved your tour of Tassie! Especially loved your description of Oueenstown. There’s an Australian TV show called Bay of Fires mostly filmed around that area …… for a reason haha. You’ve inspired me to see more of my home state! Happy travels to you both .
