Fun fact: when the soldier (I believe his name is Jace malcom or something I forgot) took the grenade to the siths head (Darth malgus) many people think it was a stun grenade but It has been confirmed that it was actually a normal grenade but the jedi (Satele shan) used to force to block the explosion from killing the trooper and that's why It appears blue.
A year late but that sounds very hand wavy like they came up with that after the fact considering in the video we don't see her like wave a hand or anything indicating she quickly used the force.

No, it was clearly an ion grenade. That why the explosion was blue. It was for use against Sith battle droids. Satele had nothing to do with it. Ion grenades can cause damage to people but not as much as a thermal detonator would, which is why Jace Malcom got off with "only" severe burns on his face and armor. If it had been a thermal det, even Satele would not have been able to prevent Jace from losing his entire arm. Even still, Jace was still lucky to survive even an ion grenade at that close range. But that's Havoc Squad for you. They're not the Republic's most hardened shocktroops for nothing.
SWTOR is the best source of Star Wars lore for me. The storyline of every character class could be its own movie. this is also part two of three linked cinematics.
The only problem I have with the Old Republic (MMO) is how it looks. It’s WOW basically that art style, doesn’t look like Star Wars in game. While the Trailers are fantastic it still has a more fantasy look to it while the armours look beyond the tech in movies. The Knights of the Old Republic games look fantastic in my opinion the art style looks completely unique but still it looks like Star Wars. Anyways great MMO just happy the look isn’t cannon lol

Star Wars is Science Fantasy for a reason, and SWTOR is sort of the Golden Age of the Galaxy before the Sith Empire came and set everything ablaze.

Dude, you guys HAVE to watch the other ones. This was the second of three, plus there are two trailers for the expansion that they did which are also fantastic. The character in this one was not Revan, although there is a major quest line in the game that revolves around Revan and his story, culminating with him actually showing up in game. The class stories in SWTOR were absolutely fantastic (well, the Imperial ones were awesome, I personally thought the Republic stuff was lame.) The Imperial classes were Bounty Hunter, Sith Inquisitor, Sith Warrior, and Imperial Agent (my personal favorite.) The Republic had Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Consular, and Jedi Knight...none of that mattered though because the Republic was dumb and boring. Check out the rest of the trailers guys, they were lit.
I agree, I never got around to finishing any Republic class stories. What is the point of having the Force if can’t fry or choke the life out of people that piss you off? 😏My favorite class is Sith Inquisitor.BTW GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!
That's your opinion. I absolutely loved the Trooper storyline and the non healer Jedi storyline. Now I agree that almost all of the sith class stories are great, but the Republic ones are not bad either.
The Jedi Knight story is imo rather slow to pick up. However, after you finish the first couple rounds of planets and get to the next arc, then things get REALLY interesting.
@@Nandrall18-25 Finished all the Force-related stories and I can say that the Jedi Knight story is the most epic one (You'll just have to look up the ending or play to the end yourself to find out why). Then the Sith endings, with the Jedi Consular being the last and meh ending.
This is 300 years after Darth Revan and Malak. But the Sith Emperor Vitiate kept Revan alive all that time in a chamber. The Sith in this trailer is Malgus. And the Jedi is the descendant of Revan.

Casual star wars fans will never understand how impressive it was that Satele caught Malgus' saber with tutaminis at that age. She's the daughter of Revan and Bastila Shan...and it's no wonder she was one of the strongest Grand Masters [and Jedi for that matter that] the order has ever produced.

Ten Armurk that wasn’t at all what he did. He didn’t want to be emperor. Is was a warrior who hated politics. But he knew the dark council would never change. So he became emperor to try and force change.
You know Darth Vader? Well, Darth Vader AND Darth Sidious LOOKED UP to Darth Malgus and took a lot of inspiration from him. Hell, he even invented Sidious's most powerful ability, Force Storm. However when Malgus developed it, it wasn't as refined and powerful as Sidious's version, but still. Hell, Vader even took NOTES from this guy from his techniques, to his mastery of the Force, etc.
@@CiaranW2003 (iirc in Legends) Yes he did, he took inspiration from Malgus's armor when he made Vader's suit: big, bulky, tough. Though unlike Malgus's armor, Vader's suit is a punishment, not something that promotes a speedy opponent, which Malgus was. Suffice to say, Malgus was so much of a badass that Vader and Palpatine took a lot of inspiration from him. Same with Vitiate, the way Palpatine ruled from the shadows and even using Essence Transfer to try to achieve immortality (Obviously didn't work out for him) was based off of Vitiate. Sith in that era were a whole other beast, but that same thing goes for Jedi too.
To answer a few of your questions. 1.) This is a MMORPG, that's why it's not out on consoles. 2.) Revan is in the game, but not in any of these trailers. 3.) The Jedi is Satele Shan, Progeny of Bastila Shan and Revan, the Sith is Darth Malgus, they fought in the trailer before this. 4.) Play Jedi Knight, I'd say it's the best storyline in the game, but have fun, choose what you want. You're not limited to one class or faction.

In case you were wondering, that game is an MMORPG that is free to play. The Free to Play portion lets you experience every class's main questline, which is 50+ hours long for each class (Videos of only the conversations/choices/cinematics are 7-8 hours long for each of the 8 classes. You can do the math). There are 4 main classes on either side: (Republic) Jedi Knight, Jedi Sentinel, Trooper, Smuggler, and (Empire) Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, and Imperial agent. Each have fantastic stories(which function in a similar way to Mass Effect, but are longer) that really put you in to the universe of The Old Republic era. If you have some free time y'all should check it out. Quite the trip.

@@popeofdope6890 Your good in your assumption, but Revans story does end 300 years before the return of the sith in the Old Republic Storyline. However, Revan himself is still alive. And something our reactors don't know is that in any battle, everyone knows that Revan is 10x stronger than the current force users excluding the emperor who is over 1000 years older than Revan and is the reason why all this is taking place. But back to the point, if revan was in that battle, it would of been over and not even through brute force since Revan was the best tactician and Malgus only got better at strategy after his loss.

Republic Troopers back in these times were used to constant war with Sith Lords and Assassins, They've been trained to withstand any force attack that the most powerful of Force users would through at them. Basically they was badass as fuck. Also the events of SWTOR take place 300yrs after the events of Revan in Kotor 1, and obviously 295 years after the events of KOTOR 2.
Yeah, she stopped that Lightsaber with her bare hands. That move is called Tutaminis, and it's the same Force ability that Yoda uses to block Force Lightning.

Don't forget about the age of the characters. in the first trailer (Return) Satil is 12 years old, Malgus is 19. In the second trailer (Hope), they are already 36 and 43 years old, In the third (Deceived) Malgus is 47 years old. And in the latest trailer (Disorder) Malgus is already 70-80 years old
Chronologically this is post revan era. That was Darth Malgus I'm pretty sure before his rebreather. The Jedi was Satelle Shan (she is related to Revan). The Trooper is Jace Malcom.

After this trailer you two saw, he was heavily injured, but still managed to kill two Jedi in his injured state. Also the time period this takes place in is after KOTOR 1 and 2. It's like in between KOTOR 2 and The Rule Of Two era with Darth Bane.

This game came out in 2011 and is still coming out with new content. It is a choice based game where your decision will affect the story. You can play 8 classes in the game. 4 republic, 4 empire. Republic has Jedi knight, Jedi consular, trooper and smuggler. Empire has sith warrior, sith inquisitor, bounty hunter and imperial agent. Each has its own intense story fully voice acted.
In this game you can be on one of two factions; Republic or Empire. On the Republic side you can be a Jedi Knight (more Combat focused), Jedi Consular (more Force Powers focused), Smuggler, and Trooper. On the Empire or Imperial side you can be a Sith Warrior (same as JK), a Sith Inquisitor (same as JC), a Bounty Hunter, and an Imperial Agent (Spy). All classes have a unique storyline, so it's well worth it to play all of them through at least once.
I’m actually glad you guys enjoyed this one! I did actually play the game on pc and there’s a app version you can get on smartphones/iPads etc which is actually sick. The actual game itself was “meh”. The story and the actual history of Star Wars you learn though is super beneficial

Yeah you can be any class , Sith marauders, sith juggernauts which only wield one saber. You can be an imperial agent , and this takes place before skywalker saga wayyyyy before, this is basically you create your on Star Wars story with any kind of race it’s amazing.
The game takes place about 300 years after the events of the first knights of the old republic which featured revan and all them. The Sith you thought was revan was a Sith marauder they're not lords of darths, but they're still Sith, marauders specifically focus on lightsaber combat as opposed to mastering force abilities.
This game is an MMO, so they don't typically get sequels, they get expansions and continual patches. There are several of these trailers, and they were created to sell the game, so all of the characters you see represent classes you can play in the game, and their powers are also game based. The woman is a Jedi Master who leads the Jedi Temple and is one of the main Jedi NPC characters in the game. Initially there wasn't much connection to the OG Old Republic game, but a later expansion ties it in and you spend time hunting Revan. The main storyline is unique to this game, and they go some really interesting places beyond Sith and Jedi. There's another emperor involved from an area of space no-one in the main Star Wars universe had heard of, and he comes in and tears shit up.

The game is a lot of fun and has amazing writing through most of its length. You can play Republic or Sith Empire and each side has four classes. Empire types can be Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, or Agent. Each class has its own story arc separate but interconnected with the others and in some cases are pure masterpieces.

Ten Armurk that wasn’t at all what he did. He didn’t want to be emperor. Is was a warrior who hated politics. But he knew the dark council would never change. So he became emperor to try and force change.
You know Darth Vader? Well, Darth Vader AND Darth Sidious LOOKED UP to Darth Malgus and took a lot of inspiration from him. Hell, he even invented Sidious's most powerful ability, Force Storm. However when Malgus developed it, it wasn't as refined and powerful as Sidious's version, but still. Hell, Vader even took NOTES from this guy from his techniques, to his mastery of the Force, etc.

@@CiaranW2003 (iirc in Legends) Yes he did, he took inspiration from Malgus's armor when he made Vader's suit: big, bulky, tough. Though unlike Malgus's armor, Vader's suit is a punishment, not something that promotes a speedy opponent, which Malgus was. Suffice to say, Malgus was so much of a badass that Vader and Palpatine took a lot of inspiration from him. Same with Vitiate, the way Palpatine ruled from the shadows and even using Essence Transfer to try to achieve immortality (Obviously didn't work out for him) was based off of Vitiate. Sith in that era were a whole other beast, but that same thing goes for Jedi too.
To answer a few of your questions.
1.) This is a MMORPG, that's why it's not out on consoles.
2.) Revan is in the game, but not in any of these trailers.
3.) The Jedi is Satele Shan, Progeny of Bastila Shan and Revan, the Sith is Darth Malgus, they fought in the trailer before this.
4.) Play Jedi Knight, I'd say it's the best storyline in the game, but have fun, choose what you want. You're not limited to one class or faction.

I know right, the Old Republic era Sith and Jedi were the real badass Force users. The rule of two is stupid in my opinion and lame compared to an actual Sith Empire. If Disney makes this era canon and doesn’t screw it up they will be redeemed.

Been playing this game on and off for over 10 years!!! It's everything you want in a Star Wars game.
The Old Republic is a is a medieval Star Wars that is set four thousand years before the Skywalker Saga or the original trilogy.
In case you were wondering, that game is an MMORPG that is free to play. The Free to Play portion lets you experience every class's main questline, which is 50+ hours long for each class (Videos of only the conversations/choices/cinematics are 7-8 hours long for each of the 8 classes. You can do the math). There are 4 main classes on either side: (Republic) Jedi Knight, Jedi Sentinel, Trooper, Smuggler, and (Empire) Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, and Imperial agent. Each have fantastic stories(which function in a similar way to Mass Effect, but are longer) that really put you in to the universe of The Old Republic era. If you have some free time y'all should check it out. Quite the trip.

Revan lives and was captured but Emperor vitiate and imprisoned and tortured for 300 years, you release him in a flash point and he goes on to the revanite order and becomes schizophrenic and decides to kill everything or something. so the guy wasnt Revan but Revan lives.

Yep, its a story-based mmorpg for PC. You can play as a Jedi Guardian, Jedi Consular, Trooper, Smuggler, Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent. You can choose your species and customize the character. Really good Class stories.

@@popeofdope6890 Your good in your assumption, but Revans story does end 300 years before the return of the sith in the Old Republic Storyline. However, Revan himself is still alive. And something our reactors don't know is that in any battle, everyone knows that Revan is 10x stronger than the current force users excluding the emperor who is over 1000 years older than Revan and is the reason why all this is taking place. But back to the point, if revan was in that battle, it would of been over and not even through brute force since Revan was the best tactician and Malgus only got better at strategy after his loss.

Republic Troopers back in these times were used to constant war with Sith Lords and Assassins, They've been trained to withstand any force attack that the most powerful of Force users would through at them. Basically they was badass as fuck.

Don't forget about the age of the characters. in the first trailer (Return) Satil is 12 years old, Malgus is 19. In the second trailer (Hope), they are already 36 and 43 years old, In the third (Deceived) Malgus is 47 years old. And in the latest trailer (Disorder) Malgus is already 70-80 years old

Chronologically this is post revan era. That was Darth Malgus I'm pretty sure before his rebreather. The Jedi was Satelle Shan (she is related to Revan). The Trooper is Jace Malcom.
That bald guy you guys are talking about is Darth Malgus. Consider him to be the Darth Vader of this time period in the Old Republic. He's an absolute monster in lightsaber combat. After this trailer you two saw, he was heavily injured, but still managed to kill two Jedi in his injured state.
Also the time period this takes place in is after KOTOR 1 and 2. It's like in between KOTOR 2 and The Rule Of Two era with Darth Bane.

In this game you can be on one of two factions; Republic or Empire. On the Republic side you can be a Jedi Knight (more Combat focused), Jedi Consular (more Force Powers focused), Smuggler, and Trooper. On the Empire or Imperial side you can be a Sith Warrior (same as JK), a Sith Inquisitor (same as JC), a Bounty Hunter, and an Imperial Agent (Spy). All classes have a unique storyline, so it's well worth it to play all of them through at least once.
I’m actually glad you guys enjoyed this one! I did actually play the game on pc and there’s a app version you can get on smartphones/iPads etc which is actually sick. The actual game itself was “meh”. The story and the actual history of Star Wars you learn though is super beneficial

Yeah you can be any class , Sith marauders, sith juggernauts which only wield one saber. You can be an imperial agent , and this takes place before skywalker saga wayyyyy before, this is basically you create your on Star Wars story with any kind of race it’s amazing.

The game takes place about 300 years after the events of the first knights of the old republic which featured revan and all them. The Sith you thought was revan was a Sith marauder they're not lords of darths, but they're still Sith, marauders specifically focus on lightsaber combat as opposed to mastering force abilities.
This game is an MMO, so they don't typically get sequels, they get expansions and continual patches. There are several of these trailers, and they were created to sell the game, so all of the characters you see represent classes you can play in the game, and their powers are also game based. The woman is a Jedi Master who leads the Jedi Temple and is one of the main Jedi NPC characters in the game. Initially there wasn't much connection to the OG Old Republic game, but a later expansion ties it in and you spend time hunting Revan. The main storyline is unique to this game, and they go some really interesting places beyond Sith and Jedi. There's another emperor involved from an area of space no-one in the main Star Wars universe had heard of, and he comes in and tears shit up.
Jedi Knight (Guardian and sentinel), Jedi Councilor (Sage and Shadow), Smuggler (Something and Gunslinger), Soldier /Trooper (Vanguard and Heavy), Sith Warrior (Juggernaut and Marauder), Sith Inquisitor (Sorcerer and Assassin), Bounty Hunter (Power Tech and Mercenary), and Imperial Agent (Something and Sniper). That is all the playable classes but I am not quite sure about few of the names...

The game is a lot of fun and has amazing writing through most of its length. You can play Republic or Sith Empire and each side has four classes. It takes place 3000 years before Star Wars: A New Hope and 300 years after Knights of the Old Republic (the one w/ Revan). Republic types can be Jedi Knight, Jedi Conselor, Smuggler, or Trooper. Empire types can be Sith Warrior, Sith Inquisitor, Bounty Hunter, or Agent. Each class has its own story arc separate but interconnected with the others and in some cases are pure masterpieces.
That wasn't Darth Revan but the Jedi was his (a few greats) granddaughter. The Sith that was the focus of this video is Darth Malgus, basically Darth Vader and all of this is set 3,000 years before ANH.
