I think Dave needs a ML3 Pro Traditional in his life. i didnt see any guitars with P90s in there ;) i will be getting one in 2020 after my recent standard ml3 for sure!
Hi Dave. Came across you by chance via the Andertons "interview". Well... that first ten minutes had me in tears: partly because despite years of trying I cannot play that well (and also my wife wouldn't stand for a full Marshall stack in my bedroom) but mainly because your playing was just ... dunno, blissful. Not fast "n flashy but screamingly achingly painfully searingly joyously mournfully howlingly perfect. Truly moving. You have a unique gift. Thanks for sharing.

So I click on this video expecting a nice n simple video of Mr Simpson explaining his guitars and their stories but then I’m met with one of the most hauntingly beautiful solos I’ve ever heard. Great playing and nice axes
as soon as i have enough money i am going to buy one of your Hoodies!! for the moment i can only support you by positive comments. Dang Dave i wish i could travel over to Europe and hangout with you for just one day. A true friend you are. You are more honest then the majority of people i do life with on a daily basis
I ve got the same Korean Squier Strat serial no S909613. Checked it and it's a 89 korean made in Samick factory. Except the logo, everything is 100% same with American custom shops. Stock pick ups are unbelievably amazing. Neck feels much more better than anything i've ever played. I own brands like Fender, Jackson, Washburn, Epiphone, ESPs but that 89 Squier compared to those is out of this world. That's the axe I want to leave behind to my son. He has got an ESP LTD Ex-50 and a Jackson JS-11, but he won't get to touch that Fender Squier while I'm still here. I actually bought it in 1990 and I've been playing it for 30 years now. Amazing, amazing guitar.
please consider releasing an album of just your intros. new ones or of ones youve already made. theyre just always so good. cheers dave, keep it up. have a happy holidays and happy new year

Love the music, Dave. So much feeling, and emotion. Very unique. Could listen all day. You are a musical genius mate. You and Gaty Moore I'm in heaven. Hope you feel better now. Take care. Moog.
Holy shit dude that intro was some of the greatest things to ever happen on a guitar. So much emotion and feel went into this.. usually not listening trough most of your intros i just skip straight to your lessons and now i think ill have to rewatch every video of you. Its been a rough couple of days but this made my day
couldn't stop smilling of amazement during the intro when you were playing with just your fretting hand while dangling the guitar by the neck with the other, completely crazy! A true inspiration!
Dave, started listening to you a long time ago, great vids and obvious talent. Ever since, you shown thousands of fans what a great guitarist can do, whatever the equipment. Man, it’s gotten nothing but better with time. Someone say going to get wise and sign you up
You are very inspiring. You are a very good person. This world needs more people like you.. and also you are a kick ass guitar player! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Van Halen, Red hot chillipeppers.. Iron Maiden, Steve Vai.. that is what I like to listen to, But what you play here was one of the most butifull things I've ever heard. You made the backing track your self to?
I love everything you do. Youve helped my playing so much, you are the greatest teacher and ive never talked to you. Happy New Year dave. Loved every second i spent watching your videos
Nice collection! My 2007 Jeff Beck strat was also olympic white. I didn’t realise how much the colour had faded until I recently changed the scratch plate and saw how white it was underneath. I now have a creamy yellow strat 😂
Came here from the Andertons vid and I was totally feeling that intro jam. Beautiful. You know, my first amp was a Peavey rage 158 too, little bastard really got loud for its size! I had a '91 Washburn Mercury series as my first guitar (17 years back now). Not a maverick but still a bit uncanny valley compared to your first set up. Our paths diversified however as I've always stuck with superstrats since my first RG, never been a strat man! Anyway, I'm gonna start ploughing my way through your music! Stay cool!
there is talent. there is gifted and then there is Dave. A man of a different caliber. Thank you Dave. your music is getting me through some extremely tough times.
Great to see your collection Dave. It is inspiring to see someone have such a close connection to musical instruments. I feel similarly about my guitars. Every instrument comes with its own music and Dave finds it all the time. All the best for next year Dave. Would love to see you interviewed by Rob Chapman. Two of my favourite guitarists who share their joy for music for us all to enjoy, lets hope it happens soon.
Such a special collection Dave, love the oswalds. Perhaps you could do a Jam featuring all the strats or a range of different guitars all over the same backing track. Would be nice to see you adapting to each instrument and how you would play them differently! Take care :)

My first guitar was a 12 string EKO just like yours. The headstock was damaged (my father repaired and refilled it with araldite). I spent many hours tuning it with just a tuning fork. It wouldn't stay tuned to E, overnight it would detune to E flat and amazingly stay in relative tune with itself. I took it to Fiddles and Sticks (nr Portobello) and Archie converted it to a lefty for me (and I started learning guitar again the right way up as it were) but he had to take the top off to strengthen the bridge and flat top.
@@theirpathstosuccess Yes, it stayed in tune. It was an easy decision to not fix the cosmetic damage from the repair. In retrospect I realise it lost a lot of volume after that work.

I think it would be incredible, Dave, if you could assemble a drummer/bassist/keyboard/other guitar to produce a full blown version of your intro jams, the drum machine e.t.c is perfectly fine of course, but imagine the interplay, and vibes you would generate with real-time players...wow!

Probably not your thing, but you're an awesome musician and I'd love to see what you do with something like that.
Thank you very much. :)
chelllo ! you have a solo 10:43 nice trick i never seen there ! epic intro jam !
Thank you very much. :)
you just blew my mind with that 62 ohh man
Hi Dave ! The reason your trem arm on your jaguar is loose is because you aren’t actually pushing it in all the way . I discovered this in my jazzmaster . Take the tape out and just push it in all the way down
From a Dave to Dave love the red strat . And number 2 JF I love relic strats and teles.
beautiful intro. speechless.
Hope you’re well Dave. I stumbled across your channel after buying my 1st strat (an american elite in sky metallic burst, it’s real pretty haha) a couple of months ago and went through a Hendrix and Frusciante binge. Really enjoyed your content and style of teaching. Just to say thanks and I appreciate the content you provide. All the best 👍🏻
Thank you very much. : )
Dave Simpson man that must be a nice guitar
I think it would be incredible, Dave, if you could assemble a drummer/bassist/keyboard/other guitar to produce a full blown version of your intro jams, the drum machine e.t.c is perfectly fine of course, but imagine the interplay, and vibes you would generate with real-time players...wow!
I would love that too. Maybe one day I can do this. : )
@@thedavesimpson Fabulous mate, something to look forward to!

Awesome channel. Awesome Cat, love you DS
Thank you very much. : )
If I had enough money, I'd totally give so many guitars. I love you Dave, and I don't even know you.
