Thanks so much Steve for taking the time. I have an older cube without the harmonies or looper but I have a boss ve-8 that uses AA batteries with those functions. I was using the rig to busk when I lived in Switzerland. Im back in the states again and less chords n batteries is very tempting.. I have a couple vox battery amps that I might b selling n get a used one of these now..thanks to your lovely video 😂👍
Hi and thanks for watching although I agree with you the ve8 is superb. But this one here it has a looper and also harmony. It takes one guitar cable one microphone cable and one ring tip cable it can also be battery operated or it comes with power supply. However I believe the looper on the ve8 is much better. But with the Boss street cube 2 you have less to carry because everything is built into it. Unfortunately the volume is limited so it's best for small Venus or street corners. So if your going for a real loud sound definitely pass on it. Once again thanks for watching. Happy gigging.
Thanks good review . Used to sing in a band a while back . it was green day foo fighters and sex pistols Kaiser Chiefs type stuff . done a few gigs and a festival two years ago . Just bought a stunning Taylor 114ce and cant put it down . Might well do some busking in the summer have the Roland micro cube to mess around with so reckon i might well get the Boss street cube 2 : ) at 61 it now or never lol
Thanks for the video Stephen, really useful ! Just curious as to which foot switch you're using to turn the looper/Harmoniser on/off ? Thanks in advance :) JAKZ
Appreciate you writing in. There are two Boss foot switch you can use. One that's battery operated and the other has an adapter plug for electricity. The one I'm using is the Boss FS7 dual foot switch that's the one with the adapter. The FS6 is totally battery operated and it's best for busking. And in my opinion I like the FS6 better. Hope this helps happy gigging.
Hi, cool video, I was just wondering. Do you know if you need specificaly a boss footwitch to use the loop function or any other kind of footswitch would work?
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. I've never tried another type of foot switch. But I would imagine as long as you have the ring and tip connection that it could. If you by this unit and you have a foot switch laying around it wouldn't hurt to try it. Then if it doesn't work order the Boss foot switch. That's my advice.
Sounds great! Very hard to make my mind up what to buy! The Fishman mini charge sounds great but this has much more functionality... Thanks for the review and nice playing. I presume both the guitar and mic were coming through the Boss?
Hi and thanks for taking the time to watch this video. It is a hard choice between both the amps but like you said the boss has much more bells and Whistles. And to answer your questions yes all you where listening to was straight from the amp. I think for busking or small cafés it's incredible. And very very light weight. Thanks again, happy gigging.
@@ttaurus393 Ordered the Mini Charge in the end. Waiting for it to arrive. My son is playing bass in this lineup so I'm interested to see how the mix works!
So, delighted with the Fishman Mini Charge. At least in rehearsal, sounds loud enough with vocal and acoustic guitar and I'm very happy with the sound I get from both my Yamaha CPX1000 and Martin SC10E. Might get the bass version of the Boss for the son and then we're good to go busking!! Just need to sell something first!! :)
Hi and thanks for watching for vocals I have the lows and mids a quarter of the way up and the highs at almost 12 o'clock. For guitar across the board all at a quarter of the way up. Hope this is helpful. Thanks again.
Very versatile for the money as sounding good as well.
Thanks for watching and for writing in. Happy holidays

picked up a second hand street cube 11 couple weeks back : ) I love it decent price and it had the blue tooth add on attached . Bonus .
It's definitely a fun amp to play with. Enjoy it my friend.

Did you use the Boss FS Foot Switch to control looper
Thanks for watching really appreciate it. And to answer your question yes I absolutely use the foot switch to control both looper and harmony efx.
Settings? This sounds good!

@@ttaurus393 wondering how you got the harmony to sound like that?
@@partypete007 I use the High harmony setting adding a little bit at a time don't make it to strong or it will sound robotic.
Excellent video. Great content.
Really appreciate it. Glad you found it useful 👍.
I’m between this and the Fishman Loudbox Charge, the knobs etc being “upside down “ really puts me off this one, does it bother you??
Yes I don't like the upside down knobs.
