@@susieinthecountry4434 what a great idea. You can hang one of those on the front of a package and the first one would have something to hang on their tree to Remember You by

Seems simple enough because of your great tutorial. Can barely sew a button. Will probably make those as Christmas gifts for my neighbors and health care providers. Thank you.
This guy makes me happy too. Plus now I have something easy and colorful to make! Working with fabric makes me happy, I hope it helps make you happier too. Please tell someone if you don't feel better soon. :-)
This is the first year I've decided to celebrate christmas in almost 3 decades and I've decided to make lots of ornaments for the tree myself. Love this star! Am going to second hand shops on the weekend to buy old clothes so I can use the fabric. Thanks so much for this and the joy you take in making them.
enjoyed your video so much. I watched another video and got so lost in the folding technique. I just only got so far. your video was so much better. I hope that I can try again and make these.
Love this video! I will make some stars this afternoon. thanks for the good time!!! (i miss this guy, but i know times have been hard for him...but I still miss him, so positive and outgoing).

I remember 'weaving' gum wrappers to make chains and this beauty is the same thing. SOOOOO Fun. They will become gifts for the residents at a local assisted living facility when we go caroling next week. Thanks for the GREAT project. SOOO fun!!!
Holy cow....I used to do the gum wrapper weaving 50 plus years ago. Blast from the past!!!!! I'm going to do a fabric one right now. Great video and presentation, Mister Domestic. Thank you for sharing.
I made a gum wrapper chain so big it would wrap around my house. I kept it for a while but ended up throwing it away. I would get gum wrappers from my classmates. Fun! Fun!
Love watching your videos. These star could go on a Christmas gift as the bow then that person has 2 gifts one for them and one for the tree. Thank you for the idea.
Mathew. I love watching you so much. Your humour and enthusiasm is very infectious. Your laugh is so unique. The world needs people like you. Thank you bright star

Thanks for the clear video! I made a boatload of these using 3"x12" strips of Christmas wrapping paper! I must admit...they are quite impressively adorable! I will be putting them on Christmas presents as a "tag" that the recipient can take home and hang on their tree!
Hi. Just wanted to let you know I'm here because of Kate's suggestion. Her channel, "The Last Homely House East of the Sea" shows her making these, and she gives you credit for showing her how!
This is GORGEOUS!!! You are one of the very few people who make quilting cool. I mean, WE know it's cool, but it has a sort of stuffy reputation, you know? You are a born teacher. This world would be a darker place without your bright light.
Hola 👋 sólo escuchar tu risa contagiosa me ha divertido ver tu trabajo, lamento no entre inglés pero a pesar de nuestra diferencia de idiomas me resulto fácil entenderte. Muy divertido !!!saludo desde Argentina.
Hi Matthew you are absolutely brilliant, not only are you a superb teacher but you are a talented showman too. You always brighten my day and make me giggle, I am so glad I found your channel, love you loads. The stars are just gorgeous just like you. Sending you lots of hugs and loves from the U.K. xxxxxxxxxxx Dorothy 😘🙋🏻❤️
This was the BEST video. Mr. Domestic's video was fun to watch; he's funny, and he REALLY did a GREAT job of showing the step by step process! I'm planning on making some fabulous fabric stars!
Hello Mr. Adorable, oops! I mean Mr. Domestic. Here is a little tip I hope I can offer you. When you make your very first weave or tuck to lock the 4 strips together, at that time take your cord that you will use to hang your ornament, knot it, then glue the knot to the very center of the 4 strips. You can then continue weaving around the cord, and afterwards you won't have to struggle to force the needle through the tough fabric.Hope this helps! Love your videos!Tim
Omg! I've been trying to find something to make with some fabric given to me by a close friend. The fabric was her mother's & when her mom passed, she gave it to me. I wanted to make little keepsakes for her & her siblings. This is so PERFECT & just in time for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing 💕
I found you from the last homly house, today 11/18/22, and am soooo grateful for your originating tutorial! You have so much energyand excitememt! Many thanks
Omg! I also learned to make these in grade school over 40 years ago. We made them from paper, and there was one more step that adds cones on top of the four squares on both sides. Well done! I’ll check out your other videos.
Yes! I was thinking the same thing. Thought I would use stiff iron interfacing so the "cones" would stand up. Then I want to use fabric stiffner to seal it all up so it will last forever.
What a great project and I found out about the gloves you use. I have RA and I’m ordering some today. Love all the hints you gave us. Your a sweetheart love ❤️
Your an absolute crackpot!!!!!!! Thank you so much I have seen this before but, it doesn’t hurt to see it again. Thank you so much. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

Ahh! I stumbled on this video and immediately fell in love. What a beautiful ornament. It’s almost 2 am and I want to run out and get the fabric and glue...now. I must be patient. Thanks for the inspiration and your infectious personality. I really needed it.
You can also use it as a pin. We have exchange gifts and this can even make a beautiful package topper instead of a bow. I love your humor! Thanks for sharing your videos and knowledge with us! 🤗
HI from Scandinavia (Denmark). We usually make them with paper, so was amazed when I first spotted your video. I have now made 13 pieces for family and friends as Christmas presents. I can't wait to hear/watch their reactions 😉. Thank you so much for this 🙏❤😊

As a Dane I have known and made these every Christmas for as long as I can remember. But I had never thought to make them out of fabric, we always make them out of paper. I must try the fabric version.

You do fun projects Mr. Domestic. This fold star ornament is a keeper. I have some beautiful Christmas fabric to give this a try. I love your happiness! ❤️💕
I gave these as Christmas gifts to members of my book club and they loved them. One member said she went home and moved ornaments from the front of her tree to make room for these. Another has a new house with windows by the front door. She says they look beautiful in the window next to the door. I think window display a great idea. You can get small suction cup hooks at places like Michael's or online. I wish we could add pictures to comments. I'd love to see others' versions.
Wow so fun and relaxing. I used the back of my seam ripper to tuck in those points. It really helped. Might have to cut up some strips so I can busy myself with making ornaments at my craft fair table. Great tutorial!!!
What a cute tutorial! I'm Scandinavian and I used to make these in school for Christmas, but we used glossy paper instead of fabric. We also made heart-shaped baskets with the same technique! Excellent child-made Christmas tree ornaments, and the baskets were extra nice because sometimes you could find sweets in them... magically placed there by tree fairies, probably. :D
OMG. You are so much FUN! I enjoyed this so much and I giggled okay, I snorted when you switched out the ironing mat because I was just thinking to myself, dude, that orange mat is YUCK. LOL. Thank you for the Tute.. On to making me some ornaments.
