This reminds me of a 90s Taiwanese monopoly video game called Richman 4/ Rich 4/ Da Fu Weng 4, I used to play that as a primary schooler, the game is only in Chinese. You'll select 4 locations: Taiwan, China, Japan, and USA. In China, the jail really located in Urumqi, Xinjiang. It's a fun game too.

Not necessarily. There is a place for socialism in nations which are sufficiently automated (which is really what determines whether socialism is better than capitalism - socialism is needed when the value of labour is lower than what is required to survive, and socialism works best in a post-scarcity society), and otherwise there are situations where varying degrees of socialism have potential benefits, but presenting socialism as simply "beneficial to an already rich country" is completely ignoring the nuance of economics and society.
Likewise, labelling capitalism as universally beneficial or universally "better than socialism" would also be delusional, as it has its own set of benefits, disadvantages, and risks. Politics should not be a tribal war, it should be a question of finding the right tool for the job.

this was actually a lot better than i anticipated, thanks for doing this, it was an absolute pleasure to watch. And strangely it did actually help me better understand the pitfalls of socialism. Its one thing to know it factually, but its another thing to see it working in action in such a simple example. and how easily it spirals out of control.

I had a coworker who lived in a house with roommates who had their own “mutual fund”, they almost killed each other after a few months of someone thinking it would be ok to take money from the fund to “fix the fridge”, and another taking money to “beautify the home” and then they ran out of money and started screaming at each other, that ended so well for 3 people in the real world in a capitalist society... 😂

I am not sure how it'll work with the wider audience, but that was actually pretty enjoyable and kind of relaxing to watch. Maybe board game night should be a quarterly special.
This is the first time I've stumbled across your channel, and oddly enough, I also own this game but have never opened it. So seeing it being played was really fun, and you guys have got such a droll sense of humour, the whole thing combined to make a thoroughly enjoyable video.
I could never play this game in my gaming group, there are quite a few hard leftists in it, and while we have a rule we leave our politics outside the door, I just know this would trigger them. One guy is so far left, he actually makes Bernie Sanders and AOC look like conservatives, and I don't want to cause ructions with them and risk our group.
