I love this scene, because it highlights Hook's lack of hypocrisy. He stood up to Rumple when he was the dark one and holds his same values when the one he loves is the Dark One. Also, people saying that he's a dick for not loving dark Emma and that Belle loved dark Rumple missed the whole point of the scene. Rumbelle was an incredibly toxic relationship, Captain Swan cannot fall into their same patterns. Hook won't let that happen.

EPIC SCENE. WHERE DO I START?? Reason 208402938490283428 why I love Killian Jones; Killian Jones has never once blamed anyone or anything for his former acts as a villain. He’s constantly admitted that his doings were his own. He never pointed fingers. He never used pity or his reason for revenge as an excuse. He doesn’t bullshit. He admits, just like he did tonight…he was a villain. And he is now doing everything in his power to redeem himself, but at the same time he never forgets who he used to be. THAT IS HOW YOU DO A REDEMPTION ARC :) AND this scene was important because Killian knows the Dark One, and he knows Emma. He knew that wasn’t Emma asking the question; it was the Dark One. But he spoke to the Emma he believes is still there somewhere when he said, “I loved you.” That confession isn’t a "breaking up" as some people want to say :( It’s just starting of a new way of fighting for the woman he loved and still loves. He loved who Emma was-the Emma that the darkness wants to erase forever. And this was the best course of action for him to take, imo :) Great moment in this episode, GREAT moment. Heartbreaking, YES. But they ARE endgame. NEVER forget that :)
Huntress4455 I agree with about everything you said, but sometimes, circumstances or people push us so far that they deserve at least some guilt for how you respond. I really think there are degrees of guilt on different people in a scenario like this. But yeah, in the end, we have free will.
My CS shipper is heartbroken, but has a Hook lover (Hooker 😂) I felt like this was great character development. Admitting that he was the one who turned Rumple, it really shows that he really has changed, in my opinion.
Honestly, i think Emma is in control deep down inside and has a master plan.... she is appeasing the Darkness on the surface...which is why she keeps pleading for him to just "trust her"...i think those words are truely her and not the DO. Completing the dagger back with Excalibur may be what needs to be done to release the darkness?

Well her face completely changed when Hook mentioned that he had held that sword to his throat, I think she was more there to find something that had touched Rumple before he was the Dark One, but I don't think she knew what it would be until he said that. I have a feeling she was mostly there to find out what had touched him, but as we all now know (hopefully anyway, if you haven't finished season 5, which I think you most likely have, don't read anymore) she still loved him, she was doing all this because she loved him and wanted to destroy the darkness in them both. So she most likely also wanted to try to prove that she still loved him, but unfortunately for her, the darkness took over and made her become manipulative. I don't for one second believe that she was the same Emma that we have always known, the darkness did change her, but she still cared, and she was still doing everything she did for love.
Watching him go nuts for us is so fun it's unreal you don't have to die for me to have my revenge on you Hook watching the woman you supposedly love slip away is so much more interesting.

But, after that he came back to Storybrooke as the DO and deceived her again into taking the dagger back. Yet she still loved Rumple. One important thing about Belle is that now she knows more about the Darkness' games. She's not that innocent woman anymore that was unable to see that inside the DO there are two entities: the vessel and the Darkness. Yet she has grown as individual! And she's not blind anymore. Hook sees these two separated persona quite well. He knows the darkness intimately - his heart is not as pure as Belle's. Besides that he was the one who has spent over a century trying to destroy the DO. So he knows how the Darkness surrounds its prey and how easy is to be absorbed by it. He doesn't love Emma less. He's still fighting for her. But in that scene you see that he's addressing the DO and he needed to turn the table in that game: he stood up against the Darkness and made it clear that he wouldn't be deceived. But he also addressed Emma to remember that she would have to choose between love and power. That is what that "I loved you" means. It means that the clarity she claims is darkness because she's about to destroy family, friendship, light magic and true love - because as the DO she can't have it all! About the TLK some ppl are saying that Emma is enjoying the darkness so because of that it didn't work. Well, it's obvious that she likes it. Until now she didn't realize the price she'll have to pay for it. But let the theories come. I have no rush.

If you loose, that's not love, that's desperate need and self disrespect. Real love is about loving yourself too, and feeling yourself as a whole - so you don't have to worry about finding your other half... If you start a relationship thinking that the person who is standing in front of you completes you, you're already in the wrong path. Love is about to multiply.
Unpopular opinion, I love Jennifer Morrison but I didn't like her acting as the Dark one. I know darkness probably shows up differently, but I kind of love the gleefulness of Gold and Hook. Without the outfit she just sort of has a lower voice.
