    1. Bacteria and Fungi
    2. Cerebral Cortex
    3.The eyeball is too short so light focuses behind the retina.
    4. Meiosis involves 2 cell divisions. 4 genetically different daughter cells are produced rather than 2 identical ones. No genetic variation in mitosis.
    5. A nucleotide is made up of a base binded to a sugar and phosphate. Attraction between the bases keeps the structure together.
    6. More land is being used for farming to increase food production in order to meet the rising demand. Farms are being expanded to increase their output and increasing land results in the loss of natural habitats and ecosystems which reduces the range of different populations in the area.
    Not sure about question 5 and 6. I know 2,3 aren't coming up, but I don't trust the advanced information anymore...

    6:09 The easiest question by far.
    More land is being used for farming because more people are being born, increasing the population and therefore, increasing more food demands.
    Another way more land is being used for farming because more and more people are eating more, which also increases food demands.
    And in return, this decreased biodiversity because we have to chop down more trees for room to farm, and in the process, it destroyed habitats for many animals and killing them in the process, making it less diverse.

      Here is the markscheme!
      Human Land Use

      • farming crops for biofuels
      • peat use as compost
      • peat use as fuel
      • increased use of pesticide / insecticide / herbicide / fertilisers

      • loss of hedgerows (to make fields larger)
      • loss of habitat
      • consequence of loss of habitat eg (change in) migration
      • fertiliser run off polluting water
      • use of pesticide / insecticide / herbicide reduces insects / plants
      which damages food chains
      • more soil erosion
      Link to Atmospheric Pollution
      • more carbon dioxide (from farm animals / machinery)
      • more methane (from cows)

    More land is being used for farming due to the constant growing farming industry with lots more space needed to provide livestock and plants with space to grow. Additional space is achieved using methods such as deforestation, this leads to destruction/loss of habitat and perhaps resulting in death/decrease of a species that is reliant on the ecosystem that has been destroyed for more space. This is significant because not only does it decrease the population of a species reliant on the ecosystem- but also affects the species that depend on other animals as a food source. If enough animals die due to loss of habitat, this may result in depletion of food sources for even tertiary predators- further reducing biodiversity.

    What if you are struggling with required practicals

    • @JadenYee
      @JadenYee  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Then I would suggest doing practice questions on all the required practicals and making sure you understand them all! If you look over on physics and maths tutor, I remember that they had a lot of practice questions for practicals. You can also watch videos on practicals on youtube so be sure to use whatever is available to you!

    • @kreef1831
      @kreef1831 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if youre struggling with practicals, go to free science lessons and cover the 2 required practical that are on the exam board website on the advanced info page. As you watch the vid make notes about how you do the experiments and the results. After do some practise questions in it, form physics math tutor or even save my exams.

    • @lm2236
      @lm2236 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you're struggling to understand a practical, look up a video of someone doing it and then try to draw it out on a scrap paper - also physics and maths tutor has the control variables you need to know and the risks, so i'd recommend learning those for each practical as usually a question could ask 'describe 2 things that the student should keep the same' or something like that - good luck, hope this helps! (btw i am doing edexcel GCSE and i know pearson make youtube videos on each practical so check the exam boards youtube)
