I’m actually leaving Crete this next load, I have 400 mile runs but deliver late so if you only have to drive a few hours you’re still parked for over 15 to 20 hours. It’s probably great if you’re young and a gamer that likes sitting at truck stops but that’s not for me.
i left them after 12.5 years went to gemini for 2 hauling tires then i found a local crude hauling job paid by the hour and ot after 40 i made more being home every night than i ever did at crete
You from Michigan? So am I! I have quite the story with trucking! I did my first 9 months with Holland/Yellow till the company closed I worked at ESTES for a couple months and my mom passed away and they fired me cause I took a week off I work a smaller carrier now it’s a stepping stone probably will join Create in a couple years! Before I was a truck driver I drove city of Detroit buses 4 years and Greyhound 1 year
Great video! Have you ever thought about running team? The reason I'm asking is because, I'm a runoholic myself! How tall are you...I can't tell? Just curious..
Thanks for the video, I’m fixing to get into Trucking and excited and scared at the same time lol……I’m single no kids no bills plan to live in my Truck for a year then travel with my money……do you think I will like it? I’m the type of person who likes to be alone at times so that part of Trucking won’t bother me……speaking of getting miles isn’t the freight market kind of slow now? Thanks
Your plan of living on the truck is a great way to stack cash. My advice would be to have people you can call because you will still get lonely. And have some kind of hobby you can do on the truck during your downtime. Freight is slow from what i hear. Crete has contracts with some shippers and receivers so I haven’t felt the pinch too much. Except getting a load home and when trying to leave the house seems to be the most difficult.

Good to hear from you! I haven’t made TH-cam videos but I’ve made short videos!
Company has really changed over the years, hang in there, still a great company no matter the internal struggles all companies deal with.

Update? Did you go with Crete? How do you like it?
Who should i call? would you do teams
Why don't you do otr is better, plus you always qualify for the safety quarterly bonus.
I like to be home with my family more the a couple days a month.
How do you find out if a lane or dedicated account is open? I'm coming on to run the SE area.
Ask you your home terminal. They can look it up.
What state you run out of
Congratulations on 1year. Are ya still with crete?
