Just got my first handgun and she's a GEN 5 GLOCK 34 with the Front serrations. I just put the Holosun SCS and added an XS Orange Bigdot iron sight as backup. I discovered that with the bigdot, It acts as an optical ANCHOR and gets the SCS reticle on target stupid fast. In addition, if the reticle should ever fail, the square nature of the optic encloses the Bigdot and it works just as good anyways! Id say its like a analog red dot!! Try this combo out!
That's pretty ignorant. Why does having gear say I don't train? I train regularly while simultaneously giving myself every possible advantage. In a real situation, regardless of training, adrenaline will surge. It's possible that a primary site could fail. Why not have a backup and train with it? If it seems like a handicap so be it. At the end of the day I'd rather be alive with the other guy cursing me and saying he cheated! as he goes down. If it's economically feasible there's nothing wrong with embracing Tech. Ego driven, Machismo hard-headedness doesn't win fights.
Lol. I live in cali... ya apparently a pistol grip attached to a rifle is an evil feature? What constitutes and definition of evil as it pertains to rifles? Only in Calif.
It’s a thick rubber-band wrapped from the tip of the index finger around the thumb and held by the pinkie trigger...or nothing. He’d still manage to put the eye out of one of his targets, then reload faster than I ever could...
@@bornreadyproductions dude, I don't know why he called the Glock ugly. i think that I see it used so much IRL that it becomes almost cool because of how often I see it. Also, those extended base plate mags? Hot.
The glock is an easy gun to shoot. And it's probably the most practical and effective choice. But I have field tested and occasionally abused a 92FS since 1998 and I still trust it with my life. It is still as reliable as the day I bought it. One failure to feed and one stovepipe in 22 years. I'm not as good as I once was, but the gun still is.
I love my M9 stupid accurate, however I carry a 1911 I hand fitted myself. I don’t recommend anyone doing that unless you really want to study the platform and learn, be ready to spend ridiculous amounts of money also lol
Lol if you find a awesome track record with shit loads of on field experience then yes it's sexy, just like 1911s and sig p226, only thing Glock throughs as a curve ball is it's cheap compared to other proven handguns
this was made 2 years ago when law enforcement and military were primarily using glocks because they were real good. Now theyre all switching over to Sigs because they made a better handgun this time around, although military guys unless theyre an MP, arent going to use their handgun all that often because their rifles are so much better at everything.
Oh you know just an Energy drink, an extended release adderal, and a couple fat lines of clean coke from his operator buddies who smuggle it out of South America 🤣
@@kokonanana1 too many to name honestly, Glocks just been doing dependable striker fired polymers for a very long time. Glocks are the "Honda" of fighter arms, IMVHO.
Beautiful handgun; albeit, quite overpriced in most locations.. I KNOW.. That German thing.. (I am partly by past, but I cannot find the discount code for me, nor the option to SOT purchase a MP7). :p.
While I can’t argue with your choice; I also feel it’s ridiculous to say that it’s that only company that will preform right out of the box. But that’s just my personal opinion.
It's just his opinion. You'll find testimonials of several brands and models from thousands of people on the internet too. I've shot thousands of rounds through a S&W M&P and a Springfield XD with zero failures. Good ammo, loaded into a quality magazine will run through a good gun, end of story. People that act like a Glock has never failed are chuckle fucks. Reliability isn't the only reason why military and police are carrying the gun. It's super cheap, especially bought in volume. Buying a gun, loading it and holstering it is stupidity defined anyway. You should buy the gun and run several boxes of ammo with the magazines you intend to use in the gun. Then trust your life to it.
ThatGuyThatDoesStuff You are correct; however, I think it’s important to deal with facts. I think it’s quite irresponsible to run a Chanel based on firearm education while simultaneously making misleading comments. I don’t know every single one of his or anyone’s personal experiences saying the only one brand that is trust worthy makes no sense at all. Glocks are fantastic weapons and you could definitely make a case for the being the best. But implying that all other companies pail in comparison is counterintuitive to firearm education.
Yep, I purchased a Colt 1911 gov model in the 80's, fired 500 rounds through it before I cleaned it with no issue. I shot the barrel out of that gun with only a handful of issues, mostly failure to reach battery from using lead handloads. I've run many 1000's of rounds through my SA XDm and XD compact(my daily carry guns) with no issues.
@@Yournotawhat You have to keep in mind that this is 2 years old. I dont watch this channel regularly so I have no idea what his stance or videos today are like but 2 years is a lot of time to learn
ST4R3 as I previously stated he is entitled to any opinion he so chooses to have. As I also previously stated above when making videos to inform the public about firearms research and education are a huge factor. If he is attempting to educate the public saying or implying a singular brand is the only trustworthy option I would say that is misleading and ill informed. The gentleman just about your comment comment is excellent proof of such.
I called CNN about chainsaw attachment. They responded with we will cover this story...after looking into such deadly attachments they are calling for a ban on the chainsaw attachment.
I had both before I lost them in a very tragic boating accident.I preferred the M&p 2.0C over the glock.Hate that I lost both of them the same day though😪
Join IDPA. Your local gun club probably runs a version that's rule based competition but in a relaxed atmosphere. Friends helping friends become more competent carriers.
Still have my Glock 19 that I purchased new in the early 90s several thousand rounds of all kinds of ammo has been through that piece, I agree that Glocks are extremely well built and reliable
i like how you still kept the gun faced down range while running towards the camera pretty sure you kept that gun discipline in mind while doing the drill
I love my 92FS with tactical rail and mounted light. It was the first brand new handgun that I ever bought and like your M9A1 it has never failed. I do find it a little too big for everyday concealed carry which is why instead it's permanent home is bedside in case of any unwanted bumps in the night. I trust it for such important duty because my best friend in high school had one and I can't tell you how many thousands of rounds we shot through it and it never once jammed up. He still has it 30 years later.
CAESAR 7379 I’m a Sig guy with three variants of the 226 and love them. I hate when some tells you “I have a glock” it’s always mumbled like they are ashamed. They are great guns and as long as you can operate it effectively and have fun at the range, who cares?
Last year I looked and looked and literally was able to try everything. Came down to the Sig and the Glock 19X. I decided on the Glock and I am glad I did. My brother got the Sig I was looking at that won the contract for the U.S. armed forces. He ended up having to send it in twice. It was not drop safe. Had to have a big wide trigger put on it by Sig. My Glock has worked great.
Doesn't mean the Sig isn't a good firearm. Just means that it has some issues that needs to be worked out. The GLOCKS have had little change over the years they've been around so yeah....you aren't going to see many issues with them, then again, you aren't going to see any real new innovations either. Wouldn't want to ruin their reputation for reliability based solely on innovation stagnation.
Glock is the ONLY one you trust to work out of the box? That's a bit hyperbolic, but hey, it's your opinion. We are fortunate to live in a market that is saturated with excellent handguns. At least half a dozen of them are stellar options.
I'd go the opposite direction. I think it's incredibly foolish to not test any firearms out of the box without shooting them first. How do you know there isn't a manufacturing defect in that particular weapon? How do you know that mag doesn't have a manufacturing defect? There is always a failure rate in manufacturing no matter who made it. Unlikely yes, but why not just shoot it?
"If you have good fundamentals, you should be able to pick up any pistol and make it work." This is a great statement.Poor shooters always blame equipment before themselves. If you had good fundamentals then should have good hits regardless of the platform.
So why you dont see glocks on shooting competitions? Because why not to use more accurately shooting gun which will mean that you can be less accurate technically. Want best accuracy and rapid steady fire? Buy CZ Shadow 2 or SigSauer Legion
@@shantiec8999 It malfunctioned all the time which is fixable if you're willing to replace parts and work on it. The grip was too small for me. The safety comes off by just dry firing once or twice. The safety can also feel like it's off but still needs one last click upwards. A desaster if you were trying to defend with it. It was old and worn and also the older model. I guess they improved a lot with the new design.
I have a Glock 19x and I love it never failed me, idk why everyone says these weapons are ugly I think the boxy look looks clean and simple and I know it can perform
Yourself, Hickock45 and John Lovell was the reason I bought my G19 Gen 4 at the beginning of the year. 400 rounds through it, 5 different ammo manufacturers, not a single malfunction. Glock has my vote.
Fired over 2000 rounds in the academy in my Glock G23 never cleaned it once and no malfunctions. The only problem I had was I had a magazine that swelled. Bottom plate would bust and my ammo would dump out. As far as the gun itself not one problem. I have a G19 gen 5 now and love it.
Loonytoones85 Hickok has had more trigger time than your above average shooter... But hey you don't consider John Lovell to be enough? Well how about Garandthumb, and shit Lucas is a monster himself. Almost everyone that I know that shoots has a Glock of some sort. I didn't understand why but I ended up buying a G19 even after trying the CZ-P10C. Admittedly the only gun I really loved was a Sig P229 but I just don't have the money to drop on one.
In my experience, there are a number of handguns that fall into this category. The only difference, is Glock is the only one coming at under $500. My new service size pistol is a Sig M11A1. It's at around 5,000 rds with zero malfunctions. Same goes for FN, and HK. To get the same reliability with other models, you usually have to spend twice as much.
Owned, shot, built, hunted with, & carried Glocks for decades & I absolutely have grown to admire the simplicity of a 35 year track record that speaks for itself about The Glock pistol line. Glock makes so many different guns from G17 through G48 patent numbers but I chose Glock because of my own experience with many different models over decades of reliability & easy to replace parts that are economical & very easy to find about anywhere.
I personally love my gen 4 glock 19, first pistol I ever purchased and has about 4 thousand rounds through her. Added a houge grip, Trijicon night sights, and a Surefire X300U and she’s just perfect. That being said I also carry an FNX 45 tactical, FN 509 tactical, and for special occasions I carry my desert eagle. Just depends on what I wanna carry that day. Every single one of those pistols I listed were perfectly functional out of the box and have never had a problem (they each have around 900-1000 rounds through them) I just enjoy firearms. I may be a glock fanboy, but I’m also an FN fanboy, Magnum Research fanboy, Barrett Fanboy, you get the idea. Don’t be a hater, just enjoy firearms and learn something new everyday.
Many guns have come out of the military trials recently that are on-par and dare I say better than a Glock. CZ, FN, Sig, HK, Beretta and more. Best time ever for handgun aficionados. It’s not just Glock anymore. I personally recommend the CZ P-07
Errr, and what about those of us who just don't like automatics? I don't believe any of those companies you mentioned make revolvers, though I'd be delighted to be proven wrong...
Glock may not be the best for any specific occasion but it's above average overall for all types of situation in my opinion. Also I think that glock trigger should be kept stock unless you are purely using it for competition because you are tinkering with one of Glock's biggest selling points which is it's reliability. Of course, that's just my opinion and again, if it's for competition, trigger upgrade is probably needed. Also, I think people haven't really shot enough of one gun to really break-in the trigger to get a true feel of its full potential. Because after a thousand rounds or so, the trigger does get much better in pretty much all cases. But I guess it's not that easy, a lot of people don't shoot that much in just one gun especially when they have too many guns in their collection..lol. So they don't shoot enough of any one pistol to truly break-in the trigger.
In that category I would pick USP, however my 1911s have never let my down (much more maintenance on the 1911s. Price has never been a factor for me. Great video and excellent shooting! Thanks
Same. Barrier to entry with USP is the price, but even though I've never had a problem with 1911s (other than a GSG but that's a .22LR and not a real 1911) I'd personally go USP before 1911 or Glock. When your day-to-day hits a point where you need a firearm for protection and self-defense, you're not going to care that a USP costs $300 more than a Glock.
Jason Grant yes for the same price or less. Glocks don’t compare to the more expensive Sigs and HKs. For less or the same the M&Ps are better, the CZ P10 is better, Walther PPQ, Springfield XDm etc. BTW his police department and government agency comment is pointless because for them it’s all about price and Glock gives guns away at cost as a form of advertising. It’s not 1995 anymore. Everything has changed (except Glock)
Very untrue. Still a lot of guns that need to be broken in first, or small issues worked out. Glocks, particularly the G17, not the case. What he did in this video is not replicatable by many other manufacturers.
@Compiler Revolt - I know right, why did Glock make such a durable and reliable gun? I would have gone with the Sig P320 along with it's drop safe failure, trigger failure and weak durability. Or maybe the HK VP9 with it's weak durability, weak recoil spring, flimsy mag release paddles and inability to eat cheap ammo.
I've been wanting a glock for a while now, my edc is a taurus G3c and I know it's a taurus but it's never let me down and I've never had a malfunction for $300 it's a great gun!
I was going to disagree but you make very good points and is why I have a Glock 19 in my safe but I will stick with my P229 and P226 old habits and all
@Spuzva Rahil with all due respect I will disagree with that statement. My Sig P320 (and many others) is an absolute monster when it comes to torture tests
Spuzva Rahil - The US military also chose Sig over Glock because they came in cheaper. Militaries often go with the lowest bidder, not the highest quality. The Glock actually outperformed the Sig during the Army trials which are very long and very extensive.
Just traded my 19 gen 4 in on a 17 gen 5 MOS and I gotta say wow I don’t know what it is but man can I shoot this gun been carrying it for 4 days now still love my P series sigs but when weight comes into play this Glock is what I’m carrying and yes I’m going to get the 19 MOS Gen 5 too why not after all it’s a Glock I can always put it in an ammo can and bury it for a rainy day LOL
I carry a Glock, but I have a lot of respect for the M&P line. While not too scientific, the M&P performs comparably to a Glock in "torture tests", and the Glock only barely outperforms it. If I had to ditch my Glock, an M&P 2.0 would be my next go-to.
@Maximus Masiran someone drank the Kool aid. Not defending 1911’s but there are other guns equal or better than Glock. M&P, P10C, VP9, PPQ, APX, 92fs, P226, CZ75………
@Maximus Masiran you’re too closed minded to talk Guns. You think only one handgun is good enough haha. I’m not a peasant in a third world country military so my opinion on firearms is invalid haha
I can honesty say the same thing about my 2.0 Compact. Shooting 18 shots to me doesn't prove reliability, only that it worked for that period of time. I took my 2.0 out of the box, no cleaning, no lubing and 300 rounds later not one issue, 5,000 rds later not one issue. To me that's reliability.
Exactly. Other guns can't live up to the Glock track record if you don't take them out and run them. If all you do is run Glocks all the damn time, then you aren't giving those other guns a chance to prove themselves.
JKay11235 Glocks are out here because they sold themselves super cheap to the military and Leo market. Civvies will buy what they use because they think “if they got them then they must be good”. Glocks are reliable but they are not the only game in town. Sig is really starting to move in on Glocks turf. CZ is the new hot chick again and the M&P 2.0 is getting lots of love. Shit FN 509 tac is what the g19x should have been.
100% agree I have an M&P 9 which has been ridiculously reliable for me, for work I carry a Smith and Wesson model 10 while outdated and will soon be exchanged with glocks or M&Ps, it will still get the job done.
Lucas, you are 100% correct. Had not fired my Glock 23 in over 17 years; was secured in a safe. First time out of the safe a few weeks ago, like it was brand new. Glock . . . most reliable weapon . . . period!!!
Gen5 19 was my first glock that I bought. Fantastic pistol. I did pop some trijicon HDs on it as well as putting in an apex trigger(oem trigger bar) and a zev pro connector and the pull is so much smoother. Not swapping any springs as the more and more things get chanhed there are more potential issues. But as it stands this is the most reliable, smooth fun to shoot gun ive ever owned or shot.
I don’t care if God himself built the fucking gun I’m going run it before I do anything with it. I just spent over $1300 on a Beretta A400 XPLOR and the first time I take it out it breaks and is 100% useless right now.
gradyhue there are so fricken many vids that compare the Glock and M&P. I find them both excellent but the M&P is cheaper where I live. I don’t like the sights on either though and I change them out as soon as I get them . Do you like the Glock sights ? I shoot them well but I don’t like the plastic sights is all.
@@ShaunPanzer I don't like Glock sights because I hate Glocks. I did not like the comparison. M&P's are really nice guns. I carried one for year and loved it. They are only comparable in that they are both striker fired guns and that's about it.
I carry a G19. In warmer months when I am wearing a t-shirt or polo, I use the standard 15-rd mag. When it's cooler and I have a thicker short or a jacket, I carry it with a 17-rd mag and mag sleeve.
And there you have it. I always say pick the firearm that doesn't fail you. Glock never fails me, so I trust it with my life. Your CZ doesn't fail you, so I'd advise you to use that. Mileage may very, everyone has their own stories and experiences. Cheers :)
If having a stovepipe is your issue, maybe try melting into the gun more. Get a more firm grip. I carried a 30SF for 3 years as a truck gun and fired 5000 rounds through it over that time period and never had a single malfunction. Now, some people might say only 5k rounds in 3 years?! Well, yes. It wasn't my primary weapon. It was a truck gun and on a few occasions a boat gun. And no, 5 rounds of that 5k most definitely wasn't shot off that boat at a coyote that was trying to eat our dinner at the shore.. I digress. 😂 Glock is a fantastic handgun. There are other fantastic handguns out there. But for a guy that spends alot of money on firearms, glocks are my go to because they're not ridiculously priced, the amount of upgrades out there are ridiculous if you want them, and I have never had a problem firing a glock. They work, every single time.
The Hi-Power is great and many will agree with you on that choice. But don't play the age card. They're not as reliable and you have to like the safety features, the style of carrying + the magazine capacity is lower than more modern wonder 9s. They old Glocks and the Hi-Power have one thing in common...they might bite. I personally would go for a pistol highly influenced by the Hi-Power, but better choices on safety features, higher capacity...CZ 75B. I deem the shadows as too heavy for EDC. If the 75B is too heavy or too big...P-01, P-07 or approaching from the Block Isle...P-10C.
Wouldn't the gun fitting into your hand have a direct relationship to how well you personally handle the gun? Obviously the gun's functionality is top priority, but if it "does not fit in my hands very well" that seems like it could be a problem.
You'd think that. But my CZ P01 and P10C both fit my hand better than my G17. I absolutely hate how my G17 feels but I'll be damned if I don't shoot it better than either of my CZs.
Since we are all throwing out opinions here...XDm 10mm, survived 10,000 round torture test, match grade barrel, great trigger and sights right out of the box!!!
XD and XDM are great shooters and great ergonomics, but there is a flaw with their firing pin if you accidentally get oil down in it. For that reason alone, i quit carrying them for defense, but still use for competition.
FN 509 out the box just as reliable as a Glock, and in the box looks better too. (In my Opinion). Glocks are great, not the only "work every time" pistol out there though.
heck to be honest 99 percent of guns anymore go bang every time. Now the 509 will cut down time from what I've seen in terms if how long it will take you to be proficient hitting the target 9 out 10 in the bullseye.
Not even close. And not even the most affordable. And not even the best company support. But they do probably have the best amount of aftermarket shit to make it look, feel, shoot, sight in better. Since glocks suck at those things.
I've been saying this for over ten yrs now. When I was nearing my 21st birthday, I knew I was gonna buy my first handgun as soon as I received my new updated ID. At the time, I didn't know a lot about pistols (was more into archery) and did a ton of research beforehand. I ended up buying a glock 21 as my first handgun because of their reputation. No other pistol could go through those torture tests and still perform the way glock does (at their price point), not to mention that millions of LE and special ops around the world also rely on them. Like he said, "they have a proven track record."
"No other pistol could go through those torture tests..." 😂😂😂 Obviously you never heard about the Offensive Handgun Weapon System (OHWS) Program and/or the USP line of pistols from Heckler and Koch!
@Duda4711 you're talking about a weapon that's over 3 times the cost of a glock. Not even the same comparison. That's why I specified "price point". Poor folk like me can't afford those guns.
I love HK i own a vp9 and a HK45 both amazing guns some people find them pricey but i always say dont put a price on your life or your loved one get the best weapon money can buy layaway if u have to
@@stevewilson9792 i personally only own a the hk vp9, and a mossberg mc1 both are 9mm. Hk vp series actually offers all there 9mm, 40sw, 45 so if you are comfortable shooting a higher caliber and can manage the recoil chose whats more comfortable for you. The hk vp guns are big but I can comfortably conceal carry them and I do on a daily bases although I think the higher caliber version might be a little bit bigger/wider. I usually carry the mossberg mc1 at work because it is considerably smaller. But I prefer to carry the vp9 outside of work.
They (Glocks) may not truly be perfection, but when I reach for a pistol to carry, work or duty, I will grab a Glock. They just work! Simplicity, plain and simple.
I agree it doesn’t matter how it looks, but feel is important. For people that grew up shooting like I did or possibly you it’s less so But to a first time gun buyer, or to someone that just wants a single handgun to defend themselves it is important to have a gun that is as comfortable to hold as possible while maintaining that reliability. I love glocks but that’s sure as hell not what I want to take to the range for plinking or to run drills because glocks torque the shit out of my wrist. And god forbid a less experienced shooter need to defend themselves but fails to do so because they struggle to index the firearm properly or fails to achieve a proper grip which pulls them off target. For some people getting in that range time and practicing is a lot easier to do with a Sig P365 or a Walther PPQ both guns I trust my life with 100% but may be a lot more comfortable to an individual.
@@blakedavis2447 completely understand that, every handgun will fit someone’s hands at least a little different. My comment was just to point out that feel is important especially for less experienced shooters or people that don’t necessarily want multiple firearms. He was obviously biased, I’m not a glock hater but I’m also not a glock fan boy that says “feel and comfort isn’t a factor whatsoever” like this guy did to a platform of over 900,000 people. On top of that he also chose a glock 17 which is entirely unpractical to Conceal for the vast majority of people. I don’t like it when guys make a statement like “glock is the only gun I trust with my life out of the box” especially to such a large audience. My PPQ is just as reliable out of the box, has a significantly better trigger, the sights are way better than glocks stock sights, holds the same number of rounds as a 19, and is way more comfortable (to me and a lot of other people) there is more to it than “they just work”
@@hiimcarl4419 good points , personally I feel like people over exaggerate when they don’t like something popular but even I can admit that I just strait up don’t like any of glocks full sized guns , they’re just too big and awkward for my hands but I think the g19 is really good
I wouldn't trust any gun from any manufacture with my life before running a couple hundred rounds through it with ball and hollow point ammo. Any manufacture can and does make lemons, including Glocks.
I just picked up the g29. When I first shot it, it scared me. I could barely control it. But now that I've shot a few hundred rounds out of it, I'm in love with it. But to be honest, if I get a chance to trade for a G20 or G40, I will. I'm sticking with the 10. All others feel like a pellet gun now. Lol.
Did my LTC Range Qualification with a brand new Glock 19 right out of the case, never used it before, and scored a 250. I use to hate Glocks until I bought one, now I love them.
Any mid range handgun ($400 to $700) is going to perform great. Glock, s&w, HK, Beretta, Sig, Colt, CZ, Ruger, etc., are reliable and well made. Doesnt make much of a difference
Besides the Beretta and the Glock none of those handguns are battle proven, I want something that has worked reliably time and time again under the most extreme of conditions. I don’t want a handgun that works reliably during a contrived test and fails miserably in real world conditions. Not all mid range pistols are reliable, very few have actually worked time and time again under actual conditions. Not all pistols are created equal, and having actually having to fire handguns in combat has relived me of that delusion.
Abhishek Singh Every one of the brands I have listed has decades of combat experience. Colt was used by the US government for over 150 years. 30 years for the SIG. S&W has been making guns for the US military and police for over 125 years.Weve been using HK's for over 40. Every one of them in combat.
The Immortal I think we have both misunderstood each other’s arguments. I think we can both agree that what matters more is how well you can shoot and not the weapon. I shoot Berettas, Glocks, and SIGs the best so I would be better of with one of those. And you would be better off with whatever handgun you happen to shoot the best and are comfortable with. Otherwise it’s just personal preference.
Abhishek Singh I don't really feel the difference enough to matter. Over time, you end up shooting semiautos about the same. Variations seem to me to be splitting hairs nowadays. Now, magnum revolvers are a different matter altogether. Unless those are pretty heavy, the recoil really stacks up.
I got a Steyr M9A1 years ago and it still all original probably put couple thousand rounds through it no problems. I had a couple stove pipes, but I was shooting reloaded ammo so.... that being said I love My Steyr and the sights are amazingly easy. Its my favorite pistol, I think glocks are ugly, but I respect their dependency. Even over my Walther P99AS I would choose my steyr everytime
@@devinhoffmann8512 For its size I was surprised that the Beretta felt light and the trigger was nice in single action, the DA pull was normal but I'm use to that since I carry a CZ 75 Compact, which despite being smaller weights about the same. Have you tried a "civilian" version 92fs/M9?
Glocks just look like a rectangle. The big advantage is that everyone has them though. Tons of parts are available, any attachments are almost always made for Glocks first. That being said I'm a Beretta guy. I just like the way it feels.
I have nothing against Glocks, to be clear about this. Still, currently, I believe there are plenty of alternatives to Glock which perform at a similar level but are much less expensive. My pick could be CZ P 10 series, for example. However, this is still quite new on the market. Best wishes! :)
Lucas I respect your work ethic. I carry one of your holsters and I carry a glock type, pistol. That being said. I have not been shooting for four years but fourty years, I have shot hundreds of thousands of rounds from every type of handgun from revolvers to glocks and everything in between. I carry a Sig more than my glock. I have seen brand new glocks jam, enough that many of my peers call them G Locks. I have seen Sigs shoot until the frames cracked almost in two and still perform and be accurate. The SEAL OPERATOR who was shot 24 times said his pistol was shot and it blew the grips off but it still killed 4 insurgents. That was a Sig 226. The Glock is a good weapon but there are many others that perform right out of the box.
Okay, so the firearm fitting someone's hands properly isn't important? That sounds very counter intuitive to me, as the better a firearm fits you, the better you shoot it. Track record? CZ75, Beretta 92 series, BHP, etc.
Absolutely! If the gun doesn't fit your hand, your grip will be wrong, and thus your shooting will be off. Yes I am ex combat arms soldier, firearms instructor, and avid add shooter. Anyone that goes about with a brand new shooter and doesn't clean and maintain said weapon is looking for a problem.

How to say I don’t train without saying I don’t train
That's pretty ignorant. Why does having gear say I don't train? I train regularly while simultaneously giving myself every possible advantage. In a real situation, regardless of training, adrenaline will surge. It's possible that a primary site could fail. Why not have a backup and train with it? If it seems like a handicap so be it. The glock is an easy gun to shoot. And it's probably the most practical and effective choice. But I have field tested and occasionally abused a 92FS since 1998 and I still trust it with my life. Beautiful handgun; albeit, quite overpriced in most locations.. I KNOW.. That German thing.. (I am partly by past, but I cannot find the discount code for me, nor the option to SOT purchase a MP7). :p.
Legendary reliability with the usp

My Glock has worked great.
i have seen Glocks returned to the factory also. H&K, No Compromise.

I'd go the opposite direction. I think it's incredibly foolish to not test any firearms out of the box without shooting them first. There is always a failure rate in manufacturing no matter who made it. Unlikely yes, but why not just shoot it?

Owned, shot, built, hunted with, & carried Glocks for decades & I absolutely have grown to admire the simplicity of a 35 year track record that speaks for itself about The Glock pistol line. Glock makes so many different guns from G17 through G48 patent numbers but I chose Glock because of my own experience with many different models over decades of reliability & easy to replace parts that are economical & very easy to find about anywhere.
So basically you just bought into the slogan "block, it just works."

True

Should have used a Hi-Point
@Compiler Revolt - I know right, why did Glock make such a durable and reliable gun? I would have gone with the Sig P320 along with it's drop safe failure, trigger failure and weak durability. Or maybe the HK VP9 with it's weak durability, weak recoil spring, flimsy mag release paddles and inability to eat cheap ammo.
There is a reason for it always coming up as #1.

Glocks are great but people who think it is the end all be all need a reality check.
Exactly. Other guns can't live up to the Glock track record if you don't take them out and run them. If all you do is run Glocks all the damn time, then you aren't giving those other guns a chance to prove themselves.
My PPQ is every bit as reliable out of the box and has better ergonomics (for me anyway). My issued weapon is a Glock however.
Yep
Lucas, you are 100% correct. Had not fired my Glock 23 in over 17 years; was secured in a safe. First time out of the safe a few weeks ago, like it was brand new. Glock . . . most reliable weapon . . . period!!!
No they aren't. Back in the 80s maybe. But not even then. They aren't even top 5 in the torture tests.
Most overrated weapon ever.
excellent shooting on the move there....

I always like to read your observations, they are the same as mine. Thanks
The only guy here who isn't offended his gun isn't in the video lol
I just bought a Glock 19 gen 5, and it is my first carry pistol I've ever bought. I chose Glock for the exact same reason.
MrKneeV hi what ammo do you use on the g19 at the range?
Gen5 19 was my first glock that I bought. Fantastic pistol. I did pop some trijicon HDs on it as well as putting in an apex trigger(oem trigger bar) and a zev pro connector and the pull is so much smoother. Not swapping any springs as the more and more things get chanhed there are more potential issues. But as it stands this is the most reliable, smooth fun to shoot gun ive ever owned or shot.
@@miguelangelortega4425 what does it matter what kind of ammo you use at the range?
my grandpa bought a brand new glock that was a lemon. soo i would always test your concealed carry weapon before you carry it!
What was wrong with it?
Name does mean a lot. Some manufacturers have many more recalls than others.
I don’t care if God himself built the fucking gun I’m going run it before I do anything with it. I just spent over $1300 on a Beretta A400 XPLOR and the first time I take it out it breaks and is 100% useless right now.

lol yeah
If it’s Jerry Miculek it’ll be 12 shots from a 6 shooter in 2 seconds. 😂😂
Smith & Wesson M&P. I trust with my life.
An m&p is a glock with steel sights and a correct grip angle.
Roger McGee same here Roger! Love my M&P 2.0 ... I’m also getting the PS9 Dagger next month just to have a glock clone
@@auracle3207 Explain that logic to me.
gradyhue there are so fricken many vids that compare the Glock and M&P.
I guess it's just me,but I think the glock looks badass!
I agree
H Garza all buissness, I love it ☺
It’s just you
H Garza when I think “official” I think of a detective with a Glock on his hip.
Me too
Glock 19 is the “jack of all trades” handgun. Great all around size. Like he said - well balanced. That’s why for me the G19 > G17.
Same
That glock 45 doe
@Dirt Therapy G 26, 19 or 17 is reliable?
@@gutadin5 yea sir, all 3 of those are reliable.
I carry a G19. In warmer months when I am wearing a t-shirt or polo, I use the standard 15-rd mag. When it's cooler and I have a thicker short or a jacket, I carry it with a 17-rd mag and mag sleeve.
My glock 30SF has had numerous failures to feed some stovepipes and consistently throws brass in my face. My CZ75 P - 01 runs like a champ.
I digress. 😂
Glock is a fantastic handgun. There are other fantastic handguns out there. But for a guy that spends alot of money on firearms, glocks are my go to because they're not ridiculously priced, the amount of upgrades out there are ridiculous if you want them, and I have never had a problem firing a glock. They work, every single time.
You're young, Lucas. You never experienced the magnificence that was the Browning Hi-Power.
Trash handgun
The biggest surprise:
Lucas pulled out a 17 and not a 19.
Would have been a 19, but I had a brand new 17 from this week haha
Proved the point of literally "OUT OF THE BOX"
T.REX ARMS haha, for shooting range thoes the barrel lenth make that big difference?
Wouldn't the gun fitting into your hand have a direct relationship to how well you personally handle the gun? Obviously the gun's functionality is top priority, but if it "does not fit in my hands very well" that seems like it could be a problem.
Wise man say gun no fit hand, hand fit to gun
Keep rubbing those dirty sausage fingers on them and make'm fit. You may also try a 43 or 42, nice little two finger heaters.
M&P for me. I own glocks too but the M&P has never failed me and I shoot it 10 times better then any glock.
You'd think that. But my CZ P01 and P10C both fit my hand better than my G17. I absolutely hate how my G17 feels but I'll be damned if I don't shoot it better than either of my CZs.
It's really hard to shill for Glock if we pretend ergonomics are important.
Those fast, no look reholsterings are making me wince, Lucas.
Solid shooting per usual
Can you make a video about another handgun? I want to see how well you shoot other handguns.
there is a video of him shooting a cz-p10c right out of the box and he shot it extremely well.
Since we are all throwing out opinions here...XDm 10mm, survived 10,000 round torture test, match grade barrel, great trigger and sights right out of the box!!!
Yep. I carry the XD Mod 2 .45.
This kid doesn't have the life experience so I can't blame him for being ignorant on the subject.
Bobby Booshay 100% is a much better shooter than you.
XD and XDM are great shooters and great ergonomics, but there is a flaw with their firing pin if you accidentally get oil down in it. For that reason alone, i quit carrying them for defense, but still use for competition.
@@mattrust4097 i own a service model xd40 mod.2, i was curious if you could elaborate more on what happens if you get oil in the firing pin. Thanks
I would agree except that they do hydro lock that’s not a good thing what so ever especially if u live in a rainy city
Not even close.
And not even the most affordable.
And not even the best company support.
But they do probably have the best amount of aftermarket shit to make it look, feel, shoot, sight in better. Since glocks suck at those things.
How about any good quality revolver? Can you beat that reliability?
(effectiveness is another question)
@@BushmasterRaZ You sound bitter.
LEO use them because they are offered a discount by glock.
Updated ID?
You didn't do that much research if you ended up with a glock.
@Duda4711 you're talking about a weapon that's over 3 times the cost of a glock. Not even the same comparison. That's why I specified "price point". Poor folk like me can't afford those guns.
Owned HKs for the last 15 years. Superb accuracy and reliability, and yes, outstanding customer service.
I love HK i own a vp9 and a HK45 both amazing guns some people find them pricey but i always say dont put a price on your life or your loved one get the best weapon money can buy layaway if u have to
we own alot of different firearms obviously, I also own several hk's, I will absolutely carry a glock right out of the box new though...
Not arguing against any of your opinions, just saying that we as consumers aren't supposed to know if a company has good customer service. Haha
M&P 2.0 line is my go to, very sound gun right out the box.
It's basically a hi point
Sure thing fan boy
I'd recommend a Hk vp9. The Vp9 has great ergonomics is very accurate and reliable and looks good 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Juan Campos how is concealed carry? Any other calibers, such as.40S&W available? Anything but Glock for me. I like ANYTHING HK
Juan Campos The VP doesn’t have a .45 ACP variant. only 9mm NATO and 40 S&W.
@@rambdabamb4104 you right i got it confused with the hk 45 but yes it is not part of the vp series
“It doesn’t matter how it looks or how it feels” oh boy the number of Glock haters are going to lose their mind
@@hiimcarl4419 I think they’re pretty middle of the road comfort wise , not the most comfortable but definitely not the worst
Brand loyalists will LOVE or HATE this vid 😂 Either way great upload and thanks for sharing.
Huge Glock 29 fan. Love 10mm and the Glock 29 is able to be concealed and is chambered in 10mm. What more can I say.
You sir have no fear of death lmao
Yeh, same with even some lower priced handguns as well. Most guns are pretty dang reliable, I feel Glock just has an enormous fan base.
Abhishek Singh
Every one of the brands I have listed has decades of combat experience.
Abhishek Singh
I don't really feel the difference enough to matter.
I would include the Beretta M9,CZ 75 and Sig 226. That’s me. Thanks
Percision Armament M9 is definitely not a good pistol lol
Devin Hoffmann yeah not at all.

Glocks just look like a rectangle. The big advantage is that everyone has them though. Tons of parts are available, any attachments are almost always made for Glocks first.
That being said I'm a Beretta guy. I just like the way it feels.
Yeet cannon?
Edit: damnit
My Glock never has let me down. Carry(ied) one on and off duty. Great gun.

Abhishek Singh I wholeheartedly agree!
Okay, so the firearm fitting someone's hands properly isn't important? That sounds very counter intuitive to me, as the better a firearm fits you, the better you shoot it. Track record? CZ75, Beretta 92 series, BHP, etc.
It does. And a lot.
Absolutely! If the gun doesn't fit your hand, your grip will be wrong, and thus your shooting will be off.
