Halloween 1993 was a crummy day for me - Jets beat the Giants that day, it rained so it made Trick or Treating rather difficult, but this Simpsons marathon was on FOX so it made it all better!
Its a shame because Bruce Campbell was really on his way to becoming a big star I think. Always felt that shows failure kinda stunted his career, unfortunately.
5:32 - This is actually pretty cool, as the original idea early on with The Simpsons was that it would one day be revealed that Homer was Krusty. Not only are they voiced by the same actor, but Krusty's body was literally Homer just in clown get up. Originally, the writers thought people would notice, so they were going to do an episode where it would be revealed that Homer was secretly Krusty, which would put Bart in a dilemma as his father (a man he does not respect) and his childhood hero were the same person. But, no one really seemed to notice, so the writers dropped the idea.
That was one of my favorite Simpson's Halloween specials. "Oh good, the curtains are on fire!" One thing I love about Addams Family Values is it's so quotable and you notice something new every time you watch it. There's a nice bit of irony in Kirstie Alley saying she's a Vulcan in Look Who's Talking Now because she was Lt. Saavik in Wrath of Khan
12:16 I still have that recorded KTVU FOX premiere of Ghost Mom on my vhs as I speak. I watched it that very night. Hope I can find the tape one day. --------- The other title it's refered to today is "Bury me in Niagara"
I'm not sure what I was doing that Halloween since I was only a year old and my older sister was 3 years old but it's still interesting to catch a glimpse of what TV was like before I can remember it. Hope your Halloween this year was a good one 80sCommercialVault.
Whoa, this set captures the Florida orange juice commercial with "this is junior high, you don't bring your lunch, you buy your lunch." I'm sure that commercial was a few years old by then, too.
5:30 Krusty doesn't have big feet, that was proven in the episode 'Krusty gets busted'. I'm thinking that it's Side Show Bob dressed as Krusty dressed as Homer.
Oh wow, in the anti-smoking PSA, I swear the guy that asks him for a smoke is the guy who played Bulk in Power Rangers for years. Never realized he did anything before that!
what do you mean "collect all 12 nestle crunch jammin designs"... it's chocolate. do they expect people to hold on to these opened chocolate bars and display them on a shelf for years on end?
Fox Halloween Bash-Bruce should seriously look into reviving Brisco Cnty Jr..love the fact that the theme music lives on in NBC Olympic Games promos Martin-this episode was funny"YOU HAVE BEEN A THORN,IN MY ASS!!!" Martin should have caught on earlier to the fact that Varnell was stealing his gimmicks Batman Happy Meal Toys-B & R maybe should be thinking that Joker is spraying poison gas on all the customers/employees.. 90210-Brandon better have a good escape route planned for when the husband comes home.. Hyundai-his response to her inquiry.."Well wouldnt you like to know..? ;) " Ghost Mom-so thats what happened to Edith Bunker after she died.. The Sinbad Show-loved the cameo by Ron O'Neal in character as Superfly in this episode
5:04 - I agree with 80sCommercialVault that Addams Family Values is much better than the first one, and easily my favorite Addams Family movie. Yes, it's sad that we never got a third film with this cast, due to the passing of Raul Julia the next year (he was apparently very sick when he was making this film), and the fact that the box office for this wasn't as good as the first film. But, at least the live action film franchise got to go out on a really high note with this. (And no, I don't count the ultra-cheap straight to video movie, Addams Family Reunion, with Tim Curry as Gomez.)
Yes no kidding. Sega ruled the video game scene in 1993-1994. Then in 1995 people forgot all about it and either went back to Mario or played Mortal Kombat.
It ideally should have ended when Phil Hartman died in 1998. Or alternatively, after "The Simpsons Movie" in 2007. It is effectively a zombie at this point and probably will not be put to rest until another one of the voice cast passes away. Even at this point I'm not sure that would kill it.
I love all this nostalgia

Photographic memory must be so nice
OMG Thank you very much for giving me back those nostalgic memories, a memory that I was 6 or 7 years old when I was watching television
I'm still really mad that people ignored The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. It was a really good show.

This got in tears so many memories
I remember coming home from trick-or-treating and watching the Simpsons Halloween specials. I was close to turning 11 yrs old when this was on.
Thank you for cutting all of these together!!

Aw man, now I remember the Bigfoot pizza from Pizza Hut. Now I need find out what years it was offered.
Halloween in the 1990s. I wish I could've enjoyed it.
I didn't know the kid-waving-brush meme was from Look Who's Talking Now until this moment,
1. I love The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.!
4. Ahh, I miss old SEGA commercials :)

I really doubt they were concerned with series continuity when making these ads.
Thank u for the nostalgic festivities 🎃
Those were the days this really takes me back

1800 collect... Wow
Aw man, I loved going to the Castro for Halloween.
River Phoenix. R.I.P.
The camp subplot was really good in part 2.
"I'll be the victim!!"
"All your life..."
"Wednesday is at that special age when a girl has one thing on her mind."
"Boys?"
"Homicide"
It's been years since I've seen a payphone.
R.I.P. River
Bruce Campbell!
22:09 sunshine lollipops and rainbows every day

I have some of the same commercials seen here, from the same marathon - only from a different affilate (WXIX 19)

So did the simpsons didn't have hair?
What??
The Simpsons use to be so great. What happened? :(

@@80sCommercialVault I think 2007 started to change the soul of the characters for me
Your signature on the front of a credit card? That's just asking for someone to learn to forge it if they steal it.
Yea the back is so much better
God damn... I forgot how much that guy who did the Universal advertisements as Beetlejuice actually looked like Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice.
