Tomei Exhaust On A V8? | INFINITI M45 VK45DE

Hey man, I just wanted to drop you a line saying how immensely much I appreciate any videos you do on the M45. I've been a M45 owner for almost a year now, and I know very little about cars, even though I'm trying to learn more. It's a very unusual car, especially in my country, so the fact that there's someone knowledgeable out there that does things featuring the M45, no matter how small or grand the project is, means the world to me. It allows me to keep the car running for as long as I can with my limited skill and knowledge. Once again, thank you.

In all seriousness though, as far as exhaust setup goes, best sounding I've had so far have been:
1)Busted Stock Cats--> Megan Racing Y Pipe--> Stillen Mid-Pipe+Resonators--> Magnaflow HFC lower cats-->Straight Pipe w/Quad Tips. (Miss this one)
2)*True Dual* Fresh Stock Cats--> Magnaflow HFC -->Stillen Mid-Pipe Resonators--> 14in X Pipe--> Straight Pipe w/Quad Tips (Current Setup)
3)Full Stillen Cat-Back on stock upper and Lower Cats
The Stillen Resonators really give it some Bass and almost make the car feel like it's got valves at low RPM and low Throttle.
First Two are pretty loud at wide open, but they quiet down a lot. The Stainless Steel Megan Y Pipe helps the sound stay smooth while still keeping the sound.
The True Dual setup I have now has a little more punch on the bottom end, but is pretty raspy/clappy at low RPM. Top end sounds the same on both of these.
The Stillen Cat-Back gave great sound and smoothness, but I found it to be too quiet for my taste... But then again I lean towards Louder. The top end sounds nearly the same as stock to me, but my ears might be spoiled. Lol
I should have some videos kicking around of all of these setups if you want to hear for yourself.

Thanks for sharing, man. Honestly, it's going to take some playing around to find what I really want. I have heard the stillen one, and it does sound very quiet. I need to fins like a middle ground between loud but not too loud. I used to have hks on the z, and I think that would be perfect on the v8 it was quiet, but when you punched it, it made noise.

Mine had hollowed cats with just the rear muffler and sounded pretty bad loud on throttle quiet on idle, just got it changed to 2.25 inch thru get to hear it today

I just got a m45 it sounds good but I want something that sounds good like that tomei but v8 is new territory to me. You should update us on how everything is going.

I only installed the tomei for this video then took it off and for sure I still make videos on the m45

You said you had headers? What brand and where did you buy them from? I have an 07 M45. I bought it to flip it, but after fixing it, I’m keeping that car and want to add things, but not much performance parts out there for it.

I have stock headers but they are hallowed out so the cats were removed by previous owner. From what I have seen there are no headers made for these cars you have to custom build them or modify the titan headers

I always like the sound of Tomei exhaust, but i always had magnaflow exhausts on my cars. Was curious if this would fit my 04 M45/Y34. I don't mind doing little modding it to fit, btw i have extrude hone titan headers on it with magnaflow cats on stock exhaust.

Bro i changed my thermostat an the houseing was all in pieces should i do a collant, flush cuz my car geting a lil bit past the normal temp still afther i repaced thermostat an houseing

I'm going to make a video on this hope it helps but in the mean time yes you should do a flush to make sure nothing feel into the radiator and bleed system of all bubbles
