In my case, the wireless driver is missing in the network adapters. So method 2, 3 and 4 cant be done.
Omg I’m so happy!!! I stopped trying a few months back to fix the network issues I would just use my phone hot spot when I needed to use my laptop but I decided to try again to fix the issue I’m so glad I came across this video. Updating the wifi driver is what fixed my issue btw

Got a wifi dongle for a newly built pc that worked until I updated windows and all the minor realtek stuff. Then it doesnt even show in the system as if it isnt connected although i physically didnt move it an inch...

Make sure you don't have a Windows update pending. If you ignore the update for too long, Windows WILL start screwing up your access.

For me the WiFi driver doesn’t show up under network adaptors, only ethernet connection driver (or whatever that’s called)
The moment i uninstalled the wireless thing on method 4 when i tried to scan it, its not there anymore is there a fix to this?

Thank you. Method 4, uninstalling my adapter, then installing the driver again worked for me. When I searched for the drivers I had 3 options, 2 from dell and one generic one from windows 10. Neither one from dell worked but the third one I installed (the generic windows 10) fixed my issue. Now I can find and connect to my home WiFi again. Thanks.

None of these things worked for me so incase you are experiencing the same problem here's how i fixed it: Go to settings and then to network and internet, at the bottom of the status screen you will find and option labeled Network Reset. This is option is basically like uninstalling and reinstalling your entire network system (like a factory reset but for network only) so only use it as a last resort.

Help, when i click on select to update the drivers manually from the list that shows, i don't know which one to pick. The ones that show on my list aren't the same as yours. Which one i know is the right one to pick???

I followed all of your directions on each method and none worked. When I get to the Sevices page on Method 5, it will not let me enable all. the button will not light up. Disable all is the one that is highlighted. What do I do now? You are a very good teacher. Your directions were clear. It's just that my laptop will not respond in the Dervices section.

I did step 1 - 4 then i restart my pc, guess what happened? My pc is failed to open, my pc can't fix it idk what happened but after i turn it on my pc loads then shutdown, sometimes it said that it failed to boot, when i try to fix it using safe mode because my pc can't load to normal mode, i try to turn of that what i turned off but still it didn't fix.
My pc is Inter core 2 quad

I tried everything doesn't work. It really only started when I used my Gf's ethernet cable and when I unplugged it it now doesn't show me any available wireless connection. Even tho I'm not plugged in no more it still doesn't show any wifi signals nearby.
When I hit "Change adapter options" it pops up a 'Network Connections' tab and only shows "Ethernet" followed with Network Cable Unplugged Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller. I can only disable it and rename it that's about all. How the hell do I enable wifi again

Great tutorial tysm, I recently tried fixing my wifi and went to the network reset option and when it restarted my pc the only network i saw was my ethernet but the first step made it so i could see the rest of my other wifi networks
