How To Fix Wireless Adapter Missing In Windows 10 | Get WiFi Adapter Back

- If the Wireless adapter missing in Windows 10 or suddenly disappeared then you can fix the problem easily. There may be multiple reasons behind the missing WiFi network adapter in Windows 10. A windows update, malware, conflicting apps, or third-party firewalls may cause this problem.
Here are some methods to get back the WiFi adaptor-
1. Re-Enable the network adapter.
2. Run network troubleshooter.
3. Enable WWAN Autoconfig, WLAN Autoconfig, and other network services.
4. Fix network socket API errors and WAN miniports.
5. Network Reset.
6. System Restore.
7. Reinstall the WiFi driver.

Just a tip if these steps doesn't work. Try to unplug everything from the laptop and hold the power button for 60 seconds, after that, start the laptop and network adapter will hopefully work again. This fixed it for me at least.

#7. I connected a wire to my router to get on the internet and found out what wifi adapter was in my machine. Then I downloaded compatible drivers and reinstalled. I tried all the other methods without success, but with this I was back online in 10 minutes. Good luck!

Excellent video ! Had to replace my main hard drive and reinstall win10 but for some reason WiFi disappeared. Worked through all the possible solutions but the final one of accessing the driver from the motherboard website brought it back to life. super helpful !

The motherboard on my laptop died. I bought a used one on eBay and installed it. Fortunately, it works (I'm using it to type this). However, I'm only able to use a hardline ethernet connection; my wifi adapter isn't recognized. I've gotten through all but the final 2 options with no luck. Even so, I'm giving you a 'thumbsup' because this video is very well done. Thank you! (I'm guessing my wifi adapter also died with my motherboard.)

@Wellanie I had the same issue as yours, Try these commands in Command prompt (Run as administrator):
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (Connect through LAN and run this)
and then restart your PC. Worked for me.
Finally after 1hr of struggle your video helped me .

man I was literally in panic, after I reinstalled windows 10 on my old computer, and network and wifi are missing. I'm trying to figure it out how to re-enable the network and wifi. all of these solutions doesnt work except the last part is WIFI drivers and it works!!!!! I had tried everything, I was prepared to send my PC to a repair place. 5 minutes of my time was all I needed once I got to #3. You’re the greatest! :)

The Trick Worked for me is Turn off your laptop and unplug the battery . Then Hold your power button for 30 seconds , then start up your computer . Believe me I didn't thought it will work but it actually worked while any other thing didn't worked . And the steps in the video will be applied to your computer automatically . Try it or regret later like me
