Head track trainer port TX16s

- Original issue was TX16S and constant loss of trainer connection by jack plug. With very little waggle or movement of the plug or when fully inserted it would will loose connection.
Although I thought stereo Vs mono or other issue at first, in the end, I think it is just the plug quality and position in the body of TX. Some users do not have any problems, some do.
I have successfully now used it after (inside the body) bending the contacts to be tighter, and do not push the plug all the way in, fraction of 1 mm out seems happy and stays still now my contacts are snug.
One day will glue a little shim on the top of the socket or print a thin collar for the plug.
Still not sure I wouldn't trust it for a "buddy box" connection but use it happily for head tracking. As a just in case I also and have a 3 position or momentary switch set to easily switch back to straight and level if it does let me down.

@@gogus357 If the plug was set deeper in the TX body I think it would have worked straight away. When I was first struggling with this google didn't have much to say but a few people struggled in a similar way to me. maybe QC issues in the fitment?
working now, I'll leave the video up for others although head tracking by cable seems niche!

Hi, I think the plug goes in too deep and have improved my own by slightly bending the connector pins. Now i don't insert the headphone plug all the way and it stays in place with the connection made. quite reliable in use for me. a little 1mm collar or other non conducting washer might aid a secure fit.
Do I have to set anything for the remote to indicate the signle trainer lost/recover?
@@ODGuitars hi sorry so slow I wanted to check my TX.
All I have done is in special functions, I've set the SG switch so that middle is activating "trainer sticks". Nice location and easy to click off, I know others do a momentary and hold it all the while someone is training.
I have put the inav sounds pack on SD card but I would think this was open tx sound really.
