Haha. It's choreographed like a 3-gun stage. He practices a ton and he knows exactly where his targets are and they aren't shooting back. You can be an amazing shooter/mover, but when you take away the familiarity of an environment, everything slows way down. Because..you know...you're trying to stay alive, not just look cool and sell a product. Lucas is an amazing shooter, but no one looks cool when they're being shot at.

@@flatsurfaces1913 He definitely isn't speeding up his videos. There are a lot of competition shooters out there and his speed is on par with the serious guys. lots of guys have helmet cams these days so you can see tons of other people with similar speed.

Gotta love Lucas and how his company innovates...the idea isn't a new one, but the solution to holstering a suppressed handgun hasn't ever really been made...as a shooter Lucas personally tests his products while he trains....all that matters to me as a shooter, consumer, and trex arms fan

Enjoy it while you can. Our 2A rights are dwindling by the day. I can't even buy a full size handgun in my state. Or any rifle that holds more than 10 in the mag. Surely the fact that the gun can be drawn forward and straight to the target rather than up and clearing the holster before presenting, makes this holster far superior to any others before it, regardless of whether the suppressor is attached or not. Therefore the time taken to draw and acquire should, in theory at least, be so much shorter. Fuckin Ell!!

I'm know a suppressor can get hot enough... 390° ish. But with 0.125 Kydex it not only takes more heat but also more force to change it. Although if you're concerned I'd run with a suppressor wrap. Which I would recommend anyway. God forbid you accidentally push the suppressor into your thigh, or any other body part, while it's good and hot.

This was my concern as well...

    • @toddk1377
      @toddk1377 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

I wouldn't worry about the kydex shifting from the heat. I know thick kydex takes a bit to absorb the heat to become pliable and it will need force applied to it to move it, unless its exposed extreme heat, but if that happens, its probably because you're on fire and dead anyway, lol.

Laflen Kenway, prone is pretty easy, as long as you get there with some care. Even with the UBL the end of the can doesn’t go below my knee.
I mounted mine on a QLS, and found it was the least intrusive if I angled it as far muzzle-forward as I could. The way I have it, when totally-flat prone, the silencer touches or almost touches the ground, but I did it because otherwise I found it nearly impossible to sit.

Two things, when you transition from your primary to your secondary as your primary is coming down to your side you should be pulling the secondary out at the same time. Also if you have to go hands on with someone your going to be in trouble. There's not a lot of retention with you new holster! Always remember the bad you may encounter may know more than you!

Interesting concept. I think that the lack of active retention is a bit of an issue for real due to use, especially considering that a handgun with a suppressor and an optic is going to be a lot heavier and more mass to assisted jumping out of the holster accidentally. But I guess that's what the Surefire MasterFire system is for ( I wonder how long it will be until Safariland make something comparable). An ALS holster that is suppressor compatible, but allows a draw out the front instead of the top, would be a dream come true. That's the system that I practice the most on

@@TwoWheelNinja that's essentially the whole point of press checking. To see if your gun is properly loaded. This can be when you pick up one that has been lying around for a while the condition of which you don't know, but also to make sure that the one you just loaded chambered properly.
No doubt it can look a little overly tacticool to see someone do it over and over again in a video, but that's real life. You're supposed to train like you would fight, even if it's an unlikely scenario. So if you're really going to get to a level of expertise, you need to do the same thing every time, even if you're just standing in your backyard. Consistency builds perfection

We don't have a MK23 to test it with, but if you check out the site you can see all the HKs that we have verified.

How likely is it for those ears supporting the suppressor to warp once the gun is reholstered with a hot can resting between them?
I only ask because I've heard of some types of Kydex deforming when being left in a hot car, worn in hot, sunny weather, etc. It seems like a suppressor with a course of fire run through it would be at least as hot as that.

We haven’t had any issues. This is thicker Kydex

All of your videos are GREAT, but I do have 1 concern. Can you show what and how it looks when you FIRST arrive to the range. It appears that when the videos are made you have had multiple runs at it and well rehearsed. What does it look like when you set up and run it for the FIRST TIME?

Andre Taylor, being a robot, he runs exactly as programmed every time as long as the proper maintenance, lubrication and calibration schedule has been followed per manufacturers’ specifications.

If I order a type 1 Ragnarok SD can I switch out between my Glock 19 gen 3 and Glock 21 gen 3 that both run Surefire X300U’s and the same Deadair Ghost 45 suppressor?

is it compatible with 1911's? I ask because of how heavy the 1911 is and don't know if it will break free easily based off that weight. plus how well would it work with the trigger guard.
