Create Control chart in Excel
X bar and R chart is a control chart used for Variable Data. Control chart is part of SPC (Statistical Process Control). Control chart is also one of the 7 qc Tools. Xbar & R chart in nothing but combination of two charts. Average chart (Measurement of Central Tendency of Data) and Range Chart (Measurement of Dispersion of Data). Also explained here is how to create X bar and Rchart in Excel step by step.

It is a simple excel sheet. Nothing special. It can be generated in 5 minutes. Request you to create by yourself as that will give you more clarity about the topic.

In the excel sheet ,the sheet 4(constant & some formula are showing to calculate UCL and LCL for Average mean chart..... But you not using the A2 constant values....you are using standard deviations....I have consfuesd... please calrify sir...

Sir , I excel sheet UCL and LCL calculated using formula (Xdouble bar+3 sigma) & (Xdouble bar -3 sigma) respectively. But formula for same is given as (Xdouble bar + A2.Rbar) & (Xdoubel bar - A2.Rbar).Why so ??
Can be calculated in both ways. It is the same. Hope its clear now. Happy Learning ahead.

True. Calculation is definitely different. Will not be able to make you understand fully here. Base is A2 rbar formula. For thumb rule calculation u can take 3sigma formula. For detailed calculation of cp and cpk, please check related video on my channel.

We have taken 3 sigma spread for UCL and 3 sigma spread for LCL. Actually it is 3 standard Deviation on Upperside and 3 standard deviation lower side of target line or average line. Happy Learning ahead.

Ab ye change kese ho gya
Xbar chart me UCL and LCL ka formula hota hai. Normal distribution ke liye aapne jo likha vo Hona chahiye. Actual video me hai. Aur koi query hai to puchh sakte ho. Happy Learning ahead....

Hi sir, i have some doubt, please clarify me. To calculate the UCL , you used Xbar+3*sigma, but i can see the formula as UCL=Xd.bar+A2*Rbar . What is the difference? Which is correct, please clarify.
