I have been using spreadsheets and writing macros since VisiCalc and I thought I was pretty good at it. I've seen work from the pros and I'm not a pro, but I guess I'm as good at it as I am because I enjoy it just as much as you obviously do. But Leila, what I've seen and learned from your videos would humble the pros and makes me feel like I'm working at a grade 3 level compared to your PhD. I wish I had more time in my day to implement your lessons - I only have one project right now, but I want to try your techniques just to share in the obvious joy you bring to the subject. Please keep making these videos and teaching us old guys new tricks.

Maybe a related question to your presentation; I was using geographic heat map excel add-in for creating a map for the data I have. Can you explain to me how to add the color gradient legend?
Is this a third-party tool? or are you referring to the new Excel 2016 map? For Excel 2016, you should be able to adjust that - but I wouldn't know about the third-party tool...

I once did that for all the countries in EU. Took me ages to get the coordinates right.Some of these countries are tiny. With a map like this where the regions are larger it's much easier. It was such a pleasant surprise when they added maps to the charts but then getting the names of the places right is a huge PITA if you aren't using English (for example it has to be Greece instead of Griechenland or it won't show up whereas most other countries are fine in German). Plus I like that everybody can see the bubble chart.

I have already installed the steel posts with backing to put the map in place, it is also for when guests and family come over, they can go to the garden ledger (your map) and find things easily. Haha, I've been there. Years ago I would spent hours tweaking such charts and in the end they anyhow did not make it to the final presentation :)

You are amazing how you make it so simple even with Microsoft that are kings of complex. You should see how simple this task is with Google Sheets.
With the latest Filled Maps feature it's easier and similar to Sheets.
