Way easier than it looks actually. Replaced both front and rear arms. Got myself a decent soldering iron, that helps a bunch. Also the wire wrap for holding the cables in place was the biggest pain. Same here! Although I just had to replace one rear arm. But it's definitely easier than any teardown videos make it look - no need to go that far to disassemble it at all.
Very nice video, surprised to see how difficult it is to remove the drones legs, since its FPV and all, but good to see its still doable if you know a wee bit of soldering.
I was hoping there would be some sort of camera/vtx/recording module and i could buy it separately to put on my custom quad. But it all seems to be integrated.

@@droneoptix5218 hi, I messaged you via your website regarding my DJI FPV which iv had a crash with. I also happen to live about 20 mins from your so really glad to hear you may be getting parts soon
All the parts are listed now. The arms are very expensive at the moment as we'll only have a couple in stock for the two months, but if you can afford wait we will lower the prices to the usual price once our main stock arrives.
This drone is by far the hardest drone to repair when it comes to swapping internal parts out. no matter what its not an easy task, the best advice we can give is to video record each step take photos as you tear down. there are some very tricky parts so go very slowly. good luck :)
At 40 seconds in, you mention the 'metal protective piece'. Does this part have an offical name? I'm in need of it after crashing my drone and it breaking.
Great video !! Would the antenna wire that hooks up to GPS board keep the drone from turning on if it was cut in half from a crash ? The heat sink module mounting tabs broke and pushed over cutting the left ADS-B Antenna wire. Hope you can help. Thank you for making this video.
I want to buy some parts, do You know what part is responsible for the front arm long horizontal led? cuz it stopped working together with under motor leds. Is it the little circuit board from the leg stand?
My arm led quit to. Two screws took the cap off of the end of the arm and there is a small tiny electrical plug came undone. All I had to do was plug it back in. And it works again. Took a while with tweezers and a magnifying glass. Didn't want to bend the little prong going into the plug.
i recently crashed my drone and had to change the body of it .. it was a hell of a work for me and my shaky fingers D: but i somehow made it but now the 2 rear motors aren't spinning when i start it and the info in the googles says that the selftest of the "drive control" doesn't work and i should restart the drone or conntact support ... any ideas what this could be ? did i frie some parts of the esc as i took it apart ? or could it be anything else ? would be nice if someone could help me out with that
So when it came to removing the gps chip one of the screws was replaced with a plastic tab instead of a screw how do I remove it without damaging the board?
Thank you so much for the video. I have crashed my drone, apparently there's no much damage but it is not starting up. When I turn it on, the camera and gimbel works and after few seconds, the fan starts but nothing else. Can you help me in diagnosing the issue? Thank you so much

Awesome video thanks for saving us money! Although if you guys dont have enough time try Gorilla epoxy 2 components glue. It seems like perfectly loves the plastic material of this drone. I dunno how long the glueing would last on mine but certainly keeps the drone in one piece untill I gaining strength and the part to fix it properly.
The epoxy will last just as long as a brand new replacement part as long as it’s applied correctly. A lot of people don’t like going this route because it looks tacky. Myself on the e other hand IDC how it looks and have used it to fix other drones on the past but I’ve luckily never crashed this drone into anything solid to break it yet lol. I did accidentally fly it into the river at about 60mph one day though 😂I completely disassembled and cleaned/dried everything with alcohol and let it sit apart for about a week in front of a fan just to be certain everything had dried. I reassembled it and if I hadn’t been the one to sink it In the river, I would never know that it had been underwater.
Excellent video, very helpful. Thumbs up subscribed to channel. Looks as though if the arms get broken it would break the main frame also. It would have been nice if they had some kind of break away feature so that only the arm would be damaged. Hopefully all the parts will be available. I am sure someone will buy full units and the parts. I may consider it more now because of this video. I would only use it for cruising and be more unlikely to crash.
I broke the front right arm off of mine. It also broke the frame. So I have to take the whole thing apart. This is going to be a pain in my neck… does anyone know where in the USA I can get this fixed?

yeah DJI logic they say modular design to make repairs easy yet the 1 thing that would be first to break is the hardest to get out
it almost seems like its been designed to be hard to fix. the opposite of what the fpv market needed for sure, thanks for your comment :)
