We have a lot in common 🥰 I started spinning during the pandemic and returned to my knitting. Before that I was focused on my watercolor painting, journal/memory keeping and planning. I recently started weaving because I’m a pretty slow knitter. I thought about paint making but still on the fence a bit. I have made some half pans of rose gold for personal use though. I’m looking forward to your new adventures 💕
those derwent pens are the only derwent supply i hate lol i cannot get on with them at all lol have fun with the pigments, good way to build arm muscles too lol 😀
FYI - you can place gauche into pans like watercolours. As they re wet the same way - I have done this with the arteza gauche comes in handy and is more convenient than squeezing tubes and trying to estimate how much you need.
Look forward to the testing, your wonderful haul selection of art supplies. The making of watercolours is something I would really like to have a go at. Great haul
Thank you for sharing your haul, thoughtful comments. It’s so difficult to shop online and I’m 100 miles in all directions from real art stores and over 200 miles from Blick’s. Your assistance is invaluable for me. Fran
Love art hauls looking forward to you swatching and trying out your new items. I hope you will do a video of your making some paints with the pigments and glycerine. Thankyou for your great video xx
i just bought polychromos 60 and albercht durer 120 set but i saw the polychromos 120 set really cheap somwhwhwre gonna sell the 60 set have full king sundrone
argh... I want to try making my own handmade watercolours too. please make a video about trying it for the first time or any advice that you'll have for a newbie :) I'v've been watching people putting the paints into halfpans, those are so satisfying to watch.
I will ... I've actually already had a go at it as I wanted to have a try without the pressure of filming it but I will definitely be sharing some videos on this in the coming weeks!
Nice haul, but holy moly the amount of plastic waste is unreal 😖 I guess it’s just me but I would totally avoid Ali Express for that reason. Jackson’s is my favourite supplier as they do seem to care about their ecological footprint and they do make an effort by recycling boxes, using packing peanuts that can be discarded in the compost bin, etc. All this waste made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Art haul videos are good for the soul 🎨🥰❤️
Interesting haul. Looking forward to the side by side comparisons of the paper.
Thank you for sharing.
Those pretty excellent paints are lovely 😊 I just swatched them out really bright colours

O btw- Lukas Verona Green Earth is Beautiful, one of my fav greens ever!
oh thank you for the tip I'll be sure to try that out ... I'm always a little wary of green earth paints as I know they can be quite weakly pigmented
i bought white board stick on roll it's perfect for mixing i put it into one of my handmade pallettes( not handmade pint )
Looking forward to the white knights, Lukas and himi gouache. Lots of great art supplies and handmade is so fun

Yeah I agree I much prefer ordering from Jackson's as well ... I don't order much from Ali Express anymore partly because of the excessive packaging
