    The McCormacks (Jim - Kathie’s brother) live in my hometown - Jim’s wife, Sharon was my cheering coach & worked at our high school for years.
    They are a wonderful family.
    So kind & loving.
    Jim has never given up.
    It’s truly inspiring to witness.

      I do know the family. And all his efforts through the years to get justice for his sister Kathie.
      I’m not claiming to know anymore than that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    This documentary is brilliant, both seasons. So, well done in every way as Jimmy Fallon commends in this interview. It's hard to have a "favorite" real life character. But, admittedly, the two twin law clerks made me laugh out loud every time they were sharing their commentary about , "Bob!!!!!!!" :)

    I do think there could have been an argument that “killed them all. ‘Course.” was said sarcastically. And I’m surprised they didn’t go with that argument. But that, along with listening to the entire conversation he has with himself in the bathroom, says it’s not sarcasm. If you had any doubts…..

    • @IrnBruNYC
      @IrnBruNYC 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      The first thing he says on the hot mic is “You’re caught.” In other words, he is acknowledging that the handwriting evidence exposes him as Susan Berman’s killer.

    • @dmichael100
      @dmichael100 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You are right. That would be the obvious (and only?) explanation if you had been caught on tape saying that as Durst was. You say something like, 'Come on! Do you REALLY think I would have said that out loud even in the bathroom. I had just been interviewed by this guy; it was obvious he was trying to catch me in something and so I sarcastically said "Oh yeah, Bob you've been caught! I killed them all of course!"
      What Durst did (as you probably know) is try and claim he said "THEY'LL THINK I'VE killed them all of course." He just said the first part was not caught on tape.

  • @mindy6691
    @mindy6691 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Andrew Jarecki for president if it wasn’t for him Kathy McCormick’s family I don’t even want to call her Kathy Durst she’s Kathleen McCormick the fact that Family did not reach out to her sweet mother just normal sweet all American hard-working family from Long Island. Just a wonderful nice people And I don’t even know them personally but my heart breaks for the oldest son. He’s been trying to get justice for his baby sister for 40 years and look. What money does it buys people it keeps secrets it isn’t everything folks look at his life, he said all my life I’ve had more money than I can spend, and it didn’t make me happy “that was Robert Durst. He needed serious mental health because he witnessed his mother die And that screwed him up and I believe that it was true that he saw that but that guy needed more he needed to be on medication. He needed to be monitored. This guy was just getting away with because he had money he could pay people to be quiet, pay people to do this for me pay people to shield me from this person and he’s never had to have consequences and accountability. What is the bottom line and this if it wasn’t for and direct McCormick wouldn’t have gotten some some accountability but not all but something and his family was treated like crap for 40 years the fact that the father-in-law didn’t reach out I understand my grandmother grew up and society. Were you know silence you just don’t say anything, and they all just kept using. It wasn’t my Place And you can see the sister. Wendy is so conflicted and the younger brother to see him. He’s the baby Tom on the jinx he goes my brother was trying to kill me from the day I arrived. They’re seven years apart so he was like an infant one his mom died , she had four kids and he was seven Douglas was five. I think he was three and the little boy was one so the father was left with four kids under the age of seven and they were raised mostly by nannies governesses. You know, appointed guardians and the fro was more or less just a visitor I mean, but back in those days things weren’t discussed regarding the Seymour. He probably didn’t know what to do with his son. He’s probably embarrassed, but if I was him I would’ve called and McCormick said, is there anything I can do , I would’ve just quietly helped him financially I know that that wouldn’t bring make things better but I would’ve called and McCormick and said is there anything I can do to help? I don’t know what my son has done I don’t know but I’m here to help those words would’ve been , so I’m not gonna say helping or healing but to give a recognition this woman was your daughter-in-law for 10 years a decade and you don’t even say anything to your mother-in-law to your brother-in-law to your sister-in-law that your wife is missing and like oh just go on with your day my heart breaks for McCormick and her son or her other daughters I don’t know all their names I think it’s Mary and I don’t know the other one but there’s five kids and Kathy was the baby Jim was the only boy and he’s been trying to get just as far as little sister and you can see what it’s done to this family I wish Jim McCormick’s daughter she’s a spitting image of Kathy. I wish she would’ve walked across the room and clothes that were Kathy‘s and spooked Robert Durst in court. He would’ve thought he was seen a ghost cause she looks just like Kathy, her friend, Gilberto tried all the rest of her days to find out what happened to her friend people broke into her house and even stole papers that Kathy told her to hide banking with him he was stealing money from his dad‘s company. His dad just told him to stop it already. That’s it just told him to stop it. He was siphoning money when he was collecting rent And Robert would also go around and piss in all the garbage cans at work and Douglas was like dad this guy peeing in the trash cans and it wasn’t until one of the uncles. The dad‘s brothers got in his face and said stop the shit now or you’re not coming back here and you finally stopped it but it tells you The father didn’t know what to do. I’m not condoning I’m just saying, Seymour probably had to know what to do or what to say, he lost his wife she jumped off of the roof of their home right in front of him. I read the report she just splat right in front of her dad and her husband they were trying to get her she had a bad reaction, but I think she was suffering with postpartum Bernice. She was beautiful woman. You can see her daughter she’s older now, but her daughter looks a lot like her and it just my heart breaks but they didn’t give this family. Any recognition? They should’ve severed the brother and said I don’t know what he’s done but we’re here to help Too bad. It didn’t turn out that way, but thank you to enter Jarecki. Somebody got something done that somebody had done for 40 years and look what this guy did. Disguise deserves an award for telling the truth encourage I mean think about it if he hadn’t done this, he would’ve never been caught And Debbie charton if I spelled her name correctly, she was a money, grubbing bitch I’m sorry for using that word, but that woman has ice cold water in her veins, freezing water in her veins she’s ruthless. She didn’t care what she had to do to get that money. It was a marriage. She was living with Stevan home for 15 years they were a couple. This was just he needed someone to pay his bills. Will he crisscrossing the country like an idiot this guy could’ve had so many different choices at his fingertips that only you and I could dream of. I mean he could’ve gone to his family and said I need help. I don’t know what to do or I got a fight and I killed her , but he couldn’t just be a man and stand up what I makes me so angry is he could’ve written a letter and said open this when I die and at least tell them what he did to Kathy, where he buried her I know he buried in the pine barons because in the winter you can’t dig through the dirt up and sell Salem because it’s too hard but the pine barons is a Sandee and that’s for the mob and he showed up to a meeting and muddy boots. I know he killed her didn’t even have the balls to say where she was. I think Debbie knows more than she saying and the fact that she’s trying to block the McCormicks from getting anything filing bankruptcy it makes me sick . I blame her as an accomplice to accessory after the fact if she wasn’t married to Robert, she should be doing time I’m serious I’m sorry for the long, and I couldn’t help myself, but bless McCormick family and anyone that was a victim of Robert Durst and see how what money can do to people and you notice when he died and the money wasn’t there nobody was around nobody answered the phone. Nobody wanted to do with him because the only reason they hung around was cause they wanted some money to fall off the tree, and it worked as a friend with a jar when you’re on trial for murder, your friends with someone that was I believe in Galveston, Texas this is what I believe. I believe those jurors were paid off because they seemed a little bit too comfortable. Oh well, I I convicted them on what was given to me. He trapped a guy up . OK yes but they’re all like OK not guilty but I’m just saying I really feel because they want sequestered the jury I really feel that the jury and Galveston Texas was probably each jury was given $100,000 or some form of monetary because no way would he be not guilty and they did they were just like oh well you know we convicted on what we thought . I’m sure there was people that had a new car parked in the driveway or a new piece of furniture a new flatscreen TV after they got done with that trial he had to had his attorneys or somebody pay those in Texas you not did I mean come on he gave that other guy $200,000 , that was on the trial that’s not normal to be friends with someone that was a jerk while you’re on trial for murder. Anyways, justice was not served it was delayed but a little bit a little bit of something if it wasn’t for this man and this family wouldn’t have gotten any recognition of my heart goes out to them McCormick family , so sorry that you had to suffer all this time. God bless you my heart is with you guys even though I don’t know you I just think it’s just a miscarriage of justice, and what money can do in the worst way. 🙏🙏🙏💯💯🥵❤️❤️
