No matter how many times I watch the movie, As Good As It Gets, it's the four minutes of Harold Ramis as the doctor that makes it such a treat to watch. I continue to miss him as a performer, writer, director, and genuine human being.
I felt robbed to learn earlier this week of the unfortunate passing of the hilariously understated Harold Ramis. _Stripes_ and the _Ghostbusters_ movies were staples of my childhood years, and to think that the genius behind these two films is no longer with us is a sobering reminder of how easily any one of us can be taken before our time. The Second City has put together a fitting and touching tribute, narrated by Harold himself, that shows a grace and humility to this talented man that endears me to him even more.
Phillip Tyson Hard to believe Harold Ramis is no longer with us. He was a true talent both in front of the camera and behind it. SCTV, Animal House, Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, Both Ghostbusters movies and the Ghostbusters video game from 2009, Groundhog Day, Analyze This and more. Harold maybe gone, but as a die hard Ghostbusters fan I will never forget him and all of the laughs he gave us time and again.
I'm definitely saddened by this man's passing. A comedic GENIUS. So many hilarious moments were produced by this man, both as an actor/performer and as a writer. Just for SCTV and "Ghostbusters",he is LEGENDARY but he helped produce SO MUCH more classic entertainment than just those 2 entities. R.I.P.,Harold Ramis...You will be missed...
Good Quote from Harold’s Rabbi. “You can’t get enough from what you don’t really need”. Harold was a thoughtful and very funny talented man . he made the world a better place .RIP
Damn I remember how horrified I was hearing the news unfold that afternoon. I was shaking literally, enough that I had to step outside for a bit. At that moment I threw a snowball at a phone pole, then kicked that pole, stubbing my right toe in the process. My husband found me lying on the futon with a half empty bottle of red wine, Led Zeppelin blasting from the stereo. My fan girl crush on him privately began July/August 1984, I think, seeing GHOSTBUSTERS at the theater, but was revealed to the public - i.e. family & friends - June 1989, a week after GB2 came out.
Amen to that! I said the same thing myself during the 2014 Oscars when Harold Ramis photograph came up with the shot of the four Ghostbusters firing at Gozer The Gozerian from the first Ghostbusters movie behind it.
I've recently learned that the people I most admire are the ones who try to make other people look good. That's true confidence.

Agreed, Rick and...Well Said.!

I can’t believe he’s gone. Although his work, remains with us.

The brush matters, let's make it work
Can you think of anything you've seen Harold Ramis do that wasn't great? From National Lampoon Radio Hour on, just nuthin' but laughs.
FEELS
I was thinking acting roles but so far as Bedazzled is concerned, I didn't care for the remake. I really liked the original.
I would do bodily harm to whomever decided to put that piano track on this. Very distracting.
