I bought some of those cute little ceramic frogs at the dollar tree about 8-10 years ago. When our family moved cross country from Georgia to Washington 6 years ago, the frogs were literally the only decorative item I chose to keep and move with us. They still make me smile.
Those emergency gift bags you put together are extremely important to those kids. We used to host foster kids who came to our house with nothing - (meth houses, filthy houses). Those stuffed animals and little bags of necessities are extremely important because they let the kids know that their community loves them.
Random comment: The snap lid containers are a favorite of mine. I am a teacher, and my desk is full of these with glue sticks, paperclips, post-its, and rubber bands. It helps me stay some what organized.
I was in Dollar Tree yesterday for the 1st time this year. At 71 I have been hibernating due to Covid. Love the storage organizer row. (They had shoe boxes in peach the accessory color for my half-bath & pink the accessory color for my big bathroom. Going back next weekend to get a half dozen of each.) Couldn't find any groceries, but in the past it was a favorite area. LOVE the name Dollar Tree with a Branch, they should consider it.
What a great idea! I'm in Canada and we don't have a dollar tree in my city, we have a dollarama, but very few things are actually a dollar lol. Still, if you know your prices, there are deals to be had. I did learn from this video you could shop online from dollar tree so I'll have to see if that's worthwhile.
I love to buy the spiral notebooks, backscratchers and the long handled dustpan which I use multiple times per week. They also have cookie spatulas which I love to use for multiple cooking tasks. My store started carrying cool whip which even at 1.25 is still cheaper than Walmart 1.87.
I remember during the pandemic when everyone was staying home still, I picked up like 7 pretty big bottles of acrylic paints, a pack of brushes and 2 canvases and had a cool paint date night with the hubs. We also picked up dinner at the dollar tree too. They have some good stuff in their frozen section. Their egg rolls are good if any of you ever find them. But, Dollar Trees can be a hit or miss in some areas. Due to short staff and shipping issues, my DT was picked over and very messy and disorganized the last time I went. Not to mention super crowded. I always try to make the cashiers smile in some way shape or form because I know it is probably stressful and chaotic at times working there and some people are so rude to them for no reason as if the cashier was the Dollar Tree CEO. Lol
When you factor in just how far prices have been raised at the supermarket the 1.25 becomes a good deal. It's still good for basic pantry items and snacks. I like the biscuit and cookie mixes, the knorr side dishes and their "oven baked" brand of cookies. These are great to have on hand for quick snacks or to build a meal with.
I agree. While DT might not always have the best deals on specific items it's a good bet to check there first especially as the product selection changes. The expanded craft selection is amazing!
I buy the apple cinnamon oatmeal packets at DT. It's all oats. I tried the Quaker Oats packets and it was mostly oat dust (as I call it) and a few actual oats. Deal or no deal, I'll buy DT oatmeal packets. I like DT and a branch...we call it the 5 quarter store. 😂
I was in therapy for a while and my therapist used the candy land to express feelings.... every color was a different feeling like red anger or yellow happiness... I played candy land with feelings with my kids, we enjoyed it and got to express our feeling/memories with each.... hope this helps anyone 🤗❤
I bought Tom’s of Maine hand soap at my dollar tree yesterday. The retail on Amazon was close to eight dollars apiece. Also bought leaping lizard hot sauce and sweet chili sauce for a buck which was considerably more on Amazon as well. The best way to shop the dollar stores is frequently because their merchandise comes and goes as well.
My dollar tree is within walking distance 1.6 miles but I'm sick with cancer now so don't always feel up to the walk though I do go when I feel up to it...did it yesterday...
I haven’t dollar treed in a long while, but something I picked up was seasonings! My favorite, was a larger small size of red pepper flakes! Also, all kitchen utensils. My grocery store charges more than a dollar for all spatulas, scoops, and spoons. Especially the one for breaking up ground meat!
My daughter has same beautiful name! Spelled exactly. I hear you on kitchen tools & SPICES! ..another winner..check out "flashlites". 2 lites..round with a handle. Telling ya..it is very 🌞
I'm a huge fan of the Word Search puzzle books from the Dollar Tree! They are cheap, and relaxing for me to do. Also, I buy all my greeting cards there as well because they are prettier, and have better sayings inside....and way cheaper than Walmart!
I’m a Word Search fan as well❣️ several months ago, I bought a dozen different ones in wait. Helps keeps my focus. Hallmark cards are excellent value still.
@@marthaross6301 I bought up several Word Search puzzles myself!🙂 I don't do a lot for myself and these make me so happy! It also is good to help stay focused and they just bring me simple joy!🙂🙂

Birthday cake peeps are great. The zip ties in the hardware section are a good buy too. The kitchen mini tongs are really good and sturdy, I have had them for two years without an issue. Definitely worth more than $1.25
I buy all my laundry supplies at The Dollar Tree for many years. The half gallon liquid of the Advantage Oxygenated cleaner is a game changer. It works better on my whites, without bleach, than anything.
Much sturdier than the diaper disposal bags they sell! Tried the diaper disposal bags for pet waste and they were too thin. Pet Waste Bags were out of stock for many weeks last year. Stocked up when they were available before price increase.
we don't have these shops in the Netherlands but I still watch cos it's fun to see, Morning glory is and annual, I think you mean the weed one, the bindweed? you must dig up all the spaghetti like roots, one little bit the size of your thumbnail or smaller will regrow. bindwieed twines around perennial plant roots and trees and fencepoles. the roots literally creep in the oil until they bump into a vertical climbing opportunity like a pole or bush and the also make seeds and root from vines that crawl above the soil. it was the bane of my life at the vegetable patch I rented. but I got it undercontrol by relentlessly picking and digging at it, takes years but the spaghetti get smaller and smaller as you deplete the energy in the plant. covering it with black plastic, cardboard, then woodchips or the like, old carpet f you have it as long as no water and no sunlight gets to it for a year you might be able to smother it on bare grounds, but as i say they thrive in established root balls of other plants you might not want to dig up...good luck

My kids like the pre-made craft packs. Like the build you're own wind chimes, toy plane, make felt flowers/finger puppets, etc. The kits are pretty simple stuff and normally no having to cut things out. Each kit can keep my 7&6 year olds in place and busy for at least 30 mins. Only paying a little over a dallor is a great price for me. We keep a bucket full of them in the house as quick "Mommy needs a to do things" activity.
Dollar Tree vinyl - if you watch "Crafty" (a TH-cam channel) he recently did a review on how it costs and use. He alas another channel called - Mr. Crafty Pants. He may have posted one there as well. If you do not have a vinyl cutter, it's not going to matter. You can use regular scissors to cut out words and shapes so the kids play with it.
The one thing to think about with buying gift bags (or whatever item) form somewhere else for a slightly cheaper price - do you need it now? It saves gas to go to ONE location and pick them up as long as you're there, vs making a special trip to Walmart. I made that mistake when I was much younger and thought going to multiple liquor distributors to get the cheaper item for our business was saving me money...and technically it was - but I was using a lot more gas and TIME to go around to different places. So if the price is negligible (within $1-2 at most), and I'm at one place where I can get *everything*, then it's worth it to me.
I've had the cylinder Tupperware jars for 10 years! I store sugar and flour in them and they've held up beautifully. They sell a oatmeal & lemon verbena soap by Shugar Soap works. I'll buy that at Dollar tree every time! The cheapest I can find it elsewhere is $5 for two. It's amazing!
for your morning glories ,,,,,you could put up lattice behind where you are planting your garden you can then start them up the lattice they will then climb it instead of your plants....
Knowing there would be a price increase in January of 2022, I stocked up on things from the Dollar Tree. I also took advantage of a 10% off sale they had last year and stocked up on several items . The 25% bump in price is extremely high especially as it is an across the board increase and also because I am on a fixed income and every penny counts.
Yup. 4 items you buy from The Dollar Tree now has an extra dollar attached. Not to mention tax as well. I now have to be mindful of what I buy there now. I used to spend $25-$30 easily every time.
The last 2 times I visited my store they had a rack of adult and youth tshirts and polos. I bought a Gildan Dry Blend adult polo for 1.25. This was very nice quality.
Some things are certainly worth the $1.25 price. I bought several pairs of socks there over the years and if I needed more now I would pay that price. However, other things are not worth the increase
thoroughly enjoyed this video and seeing all the dollar tree items ...here in the uk we have poundstores ..everything for one pound , but gradually they put in extra stock at £2 or £3 and now some of their £1 items are now £1:25 . you can still find great bargains for £1 and the poundstore is one of my favourite places to shop .
I always grab my books/coloring books/activity/adult coloring books at The Dollar Tree. I loved the flexible frog! I think it can be used in so many different ways... with your new office, they could be used to bundle your cords. I will definitely be grabbing some for fairy lights, cords, wrapping a bunch of suckers, straws, crayons, markers... etc. Thanks for all your research... especially kid approved.
I'm so jealous! You are the second TH-camr that has the most amazing Dollar Trees! Ours are so disappointing compared to yours. I don't know why they are so different, but I have never found the cool stuff you guys find.
The frozen garlic bread is good! You get 6 in a box which is cheaper then my local store. Also, the frozen egg rolls are good! You get 10 in a box. Sometimes, I find some good books or movies. I’ve found life water there and I’ve used coupons on toothbrushes and toothpaste if they have the right size. Also, if you get Nabisco coupons for any size they have the small Oreo bags. Every once in awhile they will some good name brand dog treats too.
What I like are the t shirts name brand for just a dollar. Also found a big strainer( steel) for just a dollar. Hot wheel tracks for my grandson at Dollar Tree and a four pack of play doh. Great deals!
I'm going to get the roller cutter, magnetic clips, Silly Putty I use the screw top pantry round containers because in the South you just cannot leave packets out in the pantry. Too many different pests can be attracted
For go-ahead freezer meals: They sell aluminum foil baking dishes, lots of sizes, WITH LIDS! 😊 When you eat one of those frozen meals, there's no clean up!
I love Dollar tree, even with the price increase I get the stuff I buy there dirt cheap. I get clams there at $1.25 a can and Walmart has the same size can for $2.98. So when we are craving clam chowder I go to Dollar tree.
Regarding the morning glory. Yes. You’re gonna have to move! 😂 I thought it was a brilliant idea to plant a variety called Grandpa Ott’s 25 years ago. I’ve been fighting it since then, and it’s winning.
i bought the rotary cutter and used for over 3 hours cutting quilting material and it stayed sharp. i am going back for a couple more as cheaper than blade replacements.
I love that you are breaking down the prices. I honestly buy less at the prices at the Dollar Tree now that the prices have gone up. Sometimes it just isn't as good of a deal as we think it is shopping at s "dollar store." Great video sister!😉
I don't shop at my Dollar Tree too much but I do love to go there for cards. I easily saved at least $20 last year by buying all of my Christmas cards there and they were really good quality ones too.
Morning glories needs water, if you want that plant to die, don't water them. But they are beautiful flowers and they will grow on your fences or around post.
I use one of the semi-sheer plastic jars for dishwasher pods. I have a grandson starting to crawl, and the screwtop lid is more secure than the lid on the canisters the pods come in. I feel safer putting those colorful candy-looking pods in a container the little man can't open (yet). I need to baby-proof soon!
I love candy land for small children. It's a good tool to use to help follow instructions and learn colors. It's also a good "you get what you get and you don't get upset" game because so much of it depends on how the cards fall. Dollar tree going up that quarter was ridiculous. That was a huge increase and it impacts a lot of families, but like everywhere else it's important to pay attention to price per ounce.
I use Candy Land and Hi Ho Cherry-O in my classroom to review math facts, vocabulary words, phonics, etc. They must get the question right to move in the game.
Pull the morning glories and get to the roots. Take vinegar and pour it on the roots you do not need to flood the area, you may want to plant something different there at a later time and will need time for this to dissipate. I have also used this on poison ivy. Happy gardening!!!
I've purchased the blue and white clips for a yardsale we had but I still use them because they are super helpful and quite strong. So yes, I'd purchase again, will have to find that masher and a few other things you mentioned! You rock, Christine!! Thanks!! OH and the doggie poo bags are great on travel in the car, just FYI!
Some things I will still buy at dollar tree (the yellow LAs awesome spray is a ride or die for me), cards, treasure box gifts for my students, board markers/pencils, basic storage containers, arts and crafts things, some office materials, etc. Travel items aren’t bad either. We do buy certain things at Walmart, like our basic cleaners for 98 cents, small containers of medicine, storage containers, and gift items and bags.
The pet trash bags are also great for keeping in your diaper bag in case of a blow out or accident so you have somewhere to put the gross clothes until you get home.

Love their strawberry preserves (jar variety), and 9x13 size containers - great for leftover pizza, and tall 9x13 container - great for cupcakes.
My daughter is an occupational therapist, she loves the activity books for her patients. Young and old!
Morning glories give you a colorful smile.
The not white, not clear containers work awesomely! I use them to store my dry beans, peas and lentils.
for your morning glories ,,,,,you could put up lattice behind where you are planting your garden you can then start them up the lattice they will then climb it instead of your plants....
I'm with you Jill. I just posted I call it the No Longer the Dollar Tree Store.😂
I always stock up on the baby gift bags. I also buy word search books. Doing word searches relaxes me.
thoroughly enjoyed this video and seeing all the dollar tree items ...here in the uk we have poundstores ..everything for one pound , but gradually they put in extra stock at £2 or £3 and now some of their £1 items are now £1:25 . you can still find great bargains for £1 and the poundstore is one of my favourite places to shop .
Rumor is dollartree will become dollartree plus. Love the activity books, garden seeds, and a few other items. Well worth the investment.
I included the meat mashers in almost everyone’s Christmas gift this year- I love mine.
I wonder if they can be used for a spin holder on the boiling pot?
The chocolate peeps are the only ones my daughter has ever liked. The teddy grahms, yum. Makes the best cheesecake crust too.
I buy the dollar tree wooden clothes hanging clips - and use those for chips. That's an even better dollar tree deal.:-)
I like the office clips, those things last forever!
We use the wooden clothesline clips also, on our chip bags. We have been doing it for years, so nothing new for us.
You can get the wooden clothes pins at Dollar General for a $1. I use them on my chip bags too.
Oh and there's 100 in pk
Same
I'm so jealous! You are the second TH-camr that has the most amazing Dollar Trees! Ours are so disappointing compared to yours. I don't know why they are so different, but I have never found the cool stuff you guys find.
Same here.
I use clothes pins as chip clips. I got 50 for a buck at walmart.
I like that idea.
Ahhh, the grits. Yes, the grits! And I like that I can still get an ice cream sandwich treat on the cheap!
The jumbo clips work great to hold your beach towel to your beach chair too!
Oh man…. “Dollar tree and a branch!!!” I was literally LOL 😂🤣😂😂😂 THANK YOU. I really needed a good hearty laugh…
What I like are the t shirts name brand for just a dollar. Also found a big strainer( steel) for just a dollar. Hot wheel tracks for my grandson at Dollar Tree and a four pack of play doh. Great deals!
I'm going to get the roller cutter, magnetic clips, Silly Putty
I use the screw top pantry round containers because in the South you just cannot leave packets out in the pantry. Too many different pests can be attracted
For go-ahead freezer meals: They sell aluminum foil baking dishes, lots of sizes, WITH LIDS! 😊 When you eat one of those frozen meals, there's no clean up!
I use those totes as drawers in a huge cabinet for dry foods and cans....perfect!
I’m with you, I am over the gnomes. The vinyl works - cut with the washi sheet option. Have not had luck with the glitter vinyl.
The silly putty absolutely saved my behind while sitting at church on Easter morning!!!!
I love Dollar tree, even with the price increase I get the stuff I buy there dirt cheap. I get clams there at $1.25 a can and Walmart has the same size can for $2.98. So when we are craving clam chowder I go to Dollar tree.
When my kids were older we did money prizes for egg hunts. They were older but still loved it.
Regarding the morning glory. Yes. You’re gonna have to move! 😂 I thought it was a brilliant idea to plant a variety called Grandpa Ott’s 25 years ago. I’ve been fighting it since then, and it’s winning.
Dig up
I have to fight it every year too! It loves climbing all over my tomato cages!
I am going to burn them a torch then cover.
I buy the dog leashes, crazy glue, and I keep the food storage containers for guests to take home leftovers
My dad loves the jars of asparagus. Yeah we get fresh when its in season but the jar will last. Local stores want $4 for same size jar.
"And a branch"!!! Love that!
i bought the rotary cutter and used for over 3 hours cutting quilting material and it stayed sharp. i am going back for a couple more as cheaper than blade replacements.
We needed many Thank you cards. The DT was terrific. They have so many styles. They also have high end close out books at times. Tina, Al's wife
I love that you are breaking down the prices. I honestly buy less at the prices at the Dollar Tree now that the prices have gone up. Sometimes it just isn't as good of a deal as we think it is shopping at s "dollar store." Great video sister!😉
Those blue and white clips are also excellent for keeping towels attached to your chair at the beach or on a cruise ship 🚢 .
I’d buy some of those crazy Peeps flavors and put them in a freeze drier. Not much for marshmallows normally but freeze dried I love them.
Love the sour watermelon
I hope our sweet little boy enjoys the new jungle gym. By the way thank you so much for responding, and so quickly too!
“Dollar tree and a branch” made me actually laugh out loud!
The vinyl for the cricut is AMAZING!!! It works so good. Definitely a GREAT BUY!!!
I’ve been hunting for a comment on the vinyl. I will definitely have to try it out.
I always buy my cards from the dollar tree - great suggestions everyone :)
