Porsche Boxster (986) Oil change + oil filter analysis after 176,000 miles

Simple explanation of how to perform an oil change on your 986 Boxster (1997-2004) this process should be largely the same for 996, 987 and 997 Porsches as well.
Analysis of the oil filter included some plastic fragments from the timing chain guides. 8 of these can be serviced with the engine out and partially disassembled, servicing the IMS chain tensioner requires splitting the two engine case halves apart. Anecdotally, I have seen the most wear on VarioCam chain guides and the IMS chain tensioner.
I will perform an oil analysis in ~3k miles, when I change the oil next.
