The video started and you shifted to the seat. You already finished and said it wasn’t too bad and made me laugh so hard. It’s pretty bad bro. 😂
I'm looking forward to you showing us how it's done!
Let me go ahead now and open it and get back to you i got 2017 E300 my carpet is wet and its raining, and have a leak near the interior bulbs, and driver exit assist latch on the roof, let me see if i can find this part..
Im finding all the boxster vids now 😂
Another good video, hope you continue filming more jobs. Dont know if i misses it, but can you give me more details of ur vehicle ? Year, mileage etc ?
Just viewing ur boxster vids, im about to buy a 1997, 986 so just checking how easy/ difficult the maintenance jobs are ??
Did you manage to fix it or have you bought a new one ?
Very informative! Where did you get the replacement covers?
Nicely one video. You manage to do in 3 minutes what most of the videos took 20. And you were more clear & concise.
Very helpful. Thank you!
Did you find any corrosion while inspecting the wires? Im having the same issue lots of water under the carpet and i had every light on the dash light up i currently have the carpet out like your video and will be letting it air dry for a few days. Im just wondering if i should be suspecting alot of replacement from the water sloshing on all the components that are in that area thanks
Hi, I've had this happen twice, and the second time I cleaned and trimmed the sunroof drains to ensure it would not happen again. I did not see any evidence of corrosion on the wires or the floor underneath the carpet.
As is typical, you show only the before and after shots...we want to see exactly how you disconnected all that...looks like a real bitch of a job
Appreciate the help my friend! The camera angles were 👌
thank you! I'm trying to improve the quality as I make more content.
Yessirrrrr awesome video man
Great effort.. appreciate it really. For brands like these need to check another one same model same everything. Just plug and play as you said.
"Carpet might get caught on your clutch pedal".....yeah, as if 3 of the other people w/ 716.6 gearboxes on their 204's see this😂 But seriously, good vid & great find on that one. I started with my passenger side but wasn't 100% sure about the kick panel trim pieces & their clip orientation, so I only took a sneak peak to make sure it was dry in there. Be glad you don't have a C207 chassis, because as far as I can tell, the front pano roof drains are seemingly 90% inaccessible. And I'm scared about that 10% hahaha
@@RothBeyondTheGrave 😆
What problems did u have ?
@@mikav3728 this car was involved in an accident and the knuckle must have gotten tweaked, as the camber would not align correctly
@@northeastbavarian4249 mine has also got hit at the left front…i get a humming/roaring tire sound also. Something u experienced?
@@mikav3728 i did not experience that, but it sounds like a wheel bearing or alignment issue. Check your front left wheel bearing and inner/outer tie rods on that side.
@@northeastbavarian4249 it was not the wheel bearing, i have replaced it. Ok ill try with the tie rods
Going to do this now on my C207 E coupe. Last I looked I thought they weren't there, but guess I didn't look far enough behind that plastic bracket. Also had no idea the ends of the tubes came off like that! Edit : As I thought, they are not there on the 207 E coupe in case there's another out there like me learning the hard way how everyone has 204's & 212's, but 207 knowledge is nonexistent. Still a great vid
@@RothBeyondTheGrave thank you for sharing- I always assumed that the 207 was closely related to the 204 (I believe they share suspension) but perhaps not much else
I have a 2014 chevy impala with the 2.5 with the same po411 code and recently now if i cold start the car it will idle for maybe a couple minutes and stall but start right back up again , If i try to drive it , it will chug and act like its gonna stall i have to pull over shit it off and start again and sometimes it will go good again , Is all this related to the po411? And how far are you from maine? Please come fix my car
@@SmarOneNine I wish I could help, unfortunately I’m not close. Sounds like there is more going on, I never had stalling symptoms. Are there any other powertrain fault codes being shown?
i’m having stalling issues, and rough idle; usually after long highway speeds then stopping or slowly going uphill. Only code i have is p0411. Replaced o2 sensor, didnt do a thing. Going to try this before replacing secondary air pump
@@JohnSmith-nf8bi Sounds good, this takes more time but often this is the root cause of the issue and the secondary air pump is fine, in my experience researching this.
My Malibu 2013 2.5 that was stalling in stop sign s but I changed the amshaft sensor and it fixed the problem and now I have a 411code but I think it's time to clean the intake@@JohnSmith-nf8bi
did it work?
@@Tmac-hb1ci yes, the top worked as designed after this fix
Thank you brother

@@KayleJameson you may get SRS (airbag) system warnings

@@nb2481 they should be Dorman 555012
What about putting it back in place ?
@@sildispaho6393 putting it back in place is not so bad, the orientation and placement should be evident based on the carpet shape. Can you be more specific?
Can i install LED lights in fog
@@autoxpertpakistan yes you can, just find the correct LED that is an equivalent size to the incandescent bulb
This is helpful as I am encountering the same issue. Did you unplug the battery first bed or removing the gas pedal?
@@Golffitness2012 You may unplug the battery, but it is not required- just don’t turn the ignition on with the pedal unplugged.
Really good vid on how to do an oil change on this engine. Ready to do it now thanks to you!
My 2013 2.5 malibu doesn't have that air pump. I live in California, too. Maybe there were issues on some of those blocks and this was the answer 🤔
@@LaraHobbies they may have changed the secondary air injection system from your 2013 Malibu to this 2014 Impala
I just left the ends off and never had a client return with same issue, good video

I have the same issue. How did you solve your leak problem?
@@zhgobrown I actually haven’t had the leak problem since, but I have been meaning to clean out the roof drain tubes on my car- will post a video on how to do that when I get to it.
where did you buy that mid-way lift?
@@gjoniny it’s a QuickJack 7000TL, bought it from Costco during a Christmas sale- it was cheaper to buy a $100 membership and then buy the lift from them than anyone else.
Jesus Christ it’s 96 degrees out today and i gotta do ALL THAT? Great video, but you broke my heart
Is that a manual transmission? I have one also. Where are you getting your parts for it? My car came with the V6 272 and a 6 speed manual transmission 716
Hi Michael, good eye, yes- it is a 6 speed manual, with the 716.671 transmission. A rare bird to be sure. I get my parts from FCPEuro, I've had good luck buying OE and OEM parts from them and their customer service is second to none.
I worked for MB for about 9 years and never seen one, do you have a service manual for your vehicle, not the owners manual, if so where did you get it
Any idea on where I can get a replacement shifter for the manual transmission? Mercedes wants over $380
@@michaelm6900 I do not have a service manual unfortunately- keeping my eye out though, and will let you know if I find a factory service manual
@@michaelm6900 I've been looking for one as well, i've found some for other Mercedes models that would probably fit, but I would like an original piece
what size are the 2 smaller T30 bolts? Are the T30 M6 16m??
Great question- I am not sure of the thread and length. I just checked a Mercedes-Benz parts diagram but did not see the bolts called out. M6 x 16mm is a good guess, I remember most of the bolts in this assembly threading into thru holes so length should not be a major concern. I will let you know if I get more concise information about this!
👍

Hah! I bet you can tackle this!
Nice video bro!
Very nice vid and detail thanks very helpful
Thanks for this video. I saw another tutorial where they wanted me to remove the fan and a bunch of other stuff but I did it ur way and it worked. The only tricky thing I found was getting the connector off the sensor but I used some long needle nose pliers and it worked.

Another solid upload by Northeast Bavarian!
My 2006 Mini Cooper S uses the exact same bushings (same part number), and I just replaced them with the help of this video. Thanks!
Thank you
Did you end up having to replace the plastic tensioners?
I believe these ones still have some life left, as my camshaft deviation values (variation from a reference angle between the camshafts and crankshaft) are still within spec. I plan on tackling this issue when I have more project space. Be advised, this is not a simple undertaking- replacing all 9 timing chain guides involves removing the engine and disassembling it completely.
