I am not tech-savvy, so I struggle with downloading firmware. Fortunately, with the assistance of Vinshine Audio, after several attempts over a span of two to three days, I was finally able to successfully download the firmware. The results have been quite impressive. As Alvin mentioned in the video, there is a noticeable improvement in sound quality, with greater detail and clearer separation. The sound is slightly brighter but not excessively sharp, which enhances the experience when listening to rock music. The guitar sounds stunning and more musical, while the vocals remain unchanged. However, one downside is that the volume cannot be turned up too loud. It's important to note that these are my personal observations, and the effects may vary depending on the audio systems being used. Thanks to the efforts of Vinshine's teams.
Denafrips and Vinshine need to have a better user interface and firmware upgrade solution with a dedicated USB port connection for a laptop to read the firmware version and update the firmware. Second improvement they should make will be to add a display/remote or cell phone app to interface to the DAC so the users can change input or other features on the fly.
Why can't you do an update with all the latest updates "APART FROM MESSING ABOUT WITH THE EQ". Please, give the end user who paid money for the product, give them a choice, updates with or without eq changes for all products. Basically, the end user should be able to load V1.0 back in and then be able to download all the other updates without any sound signature/EQ changes. Your don't appear to be providing it.
Hello Simon, I hope you're having a good day. We don't modify the EQ settings in anyway. However, the coding techniques employed by the firmware engineer can impact the sound quality. As a result, the audio produced by the firmware may vary between different versions. We are transparent in this aspect. We want to ensure that our loyal customers have a positive listening experience with the new firmware for our flagship DAC, the Terminator II / Plus. To achieve this, we made the decision to postpone the release of the firmware. It's ready, right now. Many thanks.
Wow Thank you! I really wasn’t expecting much but you guys nailed it. Two thumbs up!
This guy really cares about his customers ❤
