We actually used him in DTA on our channel playthrough which we will do a part 2 of soon. Hes doing well so far. He resists lots of damage with his defence roll.
If you grow multiple spirits from an action, can you upgrade a single spirit twice. E.g. if you get the ultimate, can you grow three seedlings, then upgrade two of them to saplings? Or one all the way to a dryad?

Rule Correction: During the game we used the same type of spirit in a turn. Which is incorrect. Since we both do this we let it slide.

Spirits are not status effects, they are companions. Aren't affected by any status removal cards

On that final defensive roll, homeboy had a Six It card he could’ve played to change a leaf into a 6 and prevent enough damage to survive

What status effect won't get rid of your Spirits because they are companions not status effects.
Luckily I don't think we ever ended up removing them hehe

Yes you can. There is an ability to grow 6 spirits. So yes you can upgrade the same one.
