Thanks you 2. That was fun to watch & hear you react to this. Here's some info on the song. This was recorded when Angie was 10 almost 11 (it was used as a demo). The rumor was her mom (Sara) didn't like the suicide content references in the song so it was never released. This song is by Brandon Lowry better known as Sterling Fox & aka Baby Fuzz & co-writers Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen (& they have worked with Angie before). Baby fuzz did this during a music workshop back in 2016 in Norway, (for Angie is kind of like friends with Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen & they all know each other. For like I said they have worked together before, this is how Angie might of got the song for they were all at said work shop at different times) Here’s a little bit of what BF said about the song: “Now I’m super happy nobody else took it, because it feels 100% honest to what I was feeling at that time. A fun line in the second verse deals with impulsive swiping of potential Tinder matches. It’s not even to find someone to match with. It’s just a cyclical behavior of rejecting others in an attempt to affirm an old flame that will never work. It’s actually the whole idea of the song… I’m just delusionally holding out in some monk-like vow of abstinence and loyalty that is incredibly self-destructive”-BF (No one was interested at the time) then Angie did the demo of it in 2016 & it was leaked 2 years later in Nov 2018. (He wont change the lyrics to the song or let others do so). It's funny he released it as an original in Dec 2018 a month after Angie's was leaked (Even though he never knew about it yet). When so many listen to this & Baby Fuzz's version (here’s the link) th-cam.com/video/q5HsABS4OXQ/w-d-xo.html (Even BF really liked Angie's version of it when he saw it later in 2020.) but some fans still all think this should be her's for it sound much better & convey's the story better. Brandon Lowery is a good writer & it shows in this song. His version is also good. (This is an amazing song that Angie sang & Brandon Lowery wrote) (So many think that this is about suicide, but it's not), Even by BF own words, before he took most of his & others comments down & shut off his comments. (Danny you should have her react to some more Angie with you or on her own channel)
I think your friend gave it an 8.5 is because this her first time hearing Angelina. You have more experience with her history and this adds to your love of her talent: emotions. Voice variety. Technique etc. the more you hear the more you love
Hi Foodie! Well we actually reacted to another AJ song before this one on the same stream and it was an Adele cover and neither of us really liked that one and Liv even comments in this video that the first song she heard with AJ was generic.
Hi, Danny Thanks for another great Angelina cover. I love it and think it's one of her early best. The reason why you see the word "leaked" at the beginning because it was suppose to be stopped. Angelina found out later the song had to do with suicide and she didn't want anything to do with that.
She's one of those who can sing even a random nonsense and it'll sound good. They once in a tv show had some singers (inlc one of the Kellys) sing medical prescription notes and ikea build instructions. Sounded good, kudos to them.
Here is a great example of how Angelina sounds like now at age 16 - this video is part of a documentary about the 2022 Kongsberg Jazz Festival in Norway - There is a short interview of Angelina in the beginning followed by her performing two of her original songs live in concert: th-cam.com/video/HKK66K5u1Fc/w-d-xo.html
Though I have to say I wonder how anyone, regardless of music preference, can give this song/performance a 7.5 / 10 Or even 8.5 / 10 for that matter. I would love to hear these guys' perfect tens tbh 😉
@@dannytheswedishmusixian1513 Holy Moly. Lost cause then. That being said, I think Stone Roses is a great band. But there are levels to the game. Thanks for the answer, Bud ! Trevlig hälg ♥♥
Enjoy your input Danny! I think the song you're looking for is a leaked demo Angelina did for Baby Fuzz. Title is "I'm still holding out for you". She did it when she was around 10yrs old and had it gotten green light for Angelina to do in studio and mastered it would have shocked the world. Enjoy:)
I'm still holding out for you song written by Brandon Lowry, "also goes by Baby Fuzz," Ronny Janssen and Frida Amundsen went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this audio demo cut but rumor is Angelina's mother didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and the demo cut was not released. Later the demo was pirated from Angelina's pictures were put online at the same time the song was released by Baby Fuzz causing some confusion but rumor has it that all parties agreed to leave Angelina's pirated cut on U-tube. Angelina has stated she would never sing the song again that's a shame, like many fans, It's my favorite AJ performance. This is th-cam.com/video/q5HsABS4OXQ/w-d-xo.html.by Baby Fuzz's version
I assume she was shocked to be able to give a 10 year old an 8.5 and didn't give her bonus points for being a kid or everyone would give it a 10, their tastes wouldn't even matter. I'm all kinds of biased towards Angelina but I'd do about 8.5 as well if not factoring in age. Song is kinda cool, but not great, she is amazing for a kid and great in general, but she's certainly done better. The song is catchy but the lyrics lack some form of strength or sanity for my liking. Not sure why, I feel it's a big hit, but the mainstream and songs like this lack for me. It's super close for me, needs a bit more substance lyrically, composition is great, and needs a year of vocal maturity from her to be a 10. Or to factor in age it's a 753 out of 10. The control, range, soul in her voice was insane. The tone, maturity, was almost where it needed to be for the techniques she was using. Just my opinion though.
Baby fuzz version is available on Spotify but well... is not the same as AJ version...(still baby fuzz third most streamed song on Spotify 1,1 million)
Hey Danny, and Liz I think it was, very enjoyable reaction. It was fun. If you're going to use a scale score in reacting to a performance, please give us a few performances that are iconic and get your top score, say a ten if one-to-ten is the rating scale you're using. You may wish to avoid a numbered scale because it may produce a lot of comments quibbling over half a point. A qualitative scale that only you know might alleviate the quibbling issue, something like iconic, genius, masterwork, fantastic, super, excellent, ... Where iconic places the performance among the very best in recorded history. I would put Whitney Huston's performance of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" in the iconic category. Also iconic would be Bobby Hatfield's (Righteous Brothers) "Unchained Melody" and several Roy Orbison pieces: "Pretty Woman," "Only The Lonely," Of course, you'll have your own choices what performance fit which classes. Again, it was fun. All the best to you and Liz.
A song about unrequited love and suicide she covered as a studio demo at the invitation of the original artist even before he released his original version...that didn't do well at all. it's my understanding Angelina's mother didn't like the meaning behind this song and gave it a thumbs down so it didn't get released.
Thanks Danny and Liv, a wonderful double reaction with a very unique young singer! 💛🧡❤
Thanks Claudio 😊👍🏻
Only ten its on a new level absolutely love this performance ❤
Glad to see you still like this song, as do I, because it is simply amazing
Nice love your friend
This is the best that the very best singer has ever done!!

Good reaction, God Bless!
Danny, thanks for introducing your friend to Angelina. Every Angelina angel should introduce people to Angelina's music whenever possible.
Thanks Andy 😊👍🏻
I like how they incorporated a heartbeat in the basses, perfect for the line "...my heart still be beating for you..."
Nice, I didn’t notice that 👍🏻
TY Danny .
😊👍🏻
Love that you have your wife and friend on. The moon image is superb.
Thanks Shablar 👍🏻 Yeah it’s fun to get an extra opinion in
Super bop.
Nice Roy 😊👍🏻
This is my favorite song
A voice from beyond !!!
Indeed
the best "unreleased" performance ever.
😊👍🏻
Thanks

I got into this song after AJ sang the first few words. She is beyond her years and an absolute treasure to mankind.

Angelina IS MUSIC!
The writer of the song is Brian Lowery if this would help any research you wanted to about the song.
Thanks Jeffery 👍🏻

I'm sorry I have my opinion and I do not see the appeal and why everybody thinks she's so great. I think her vocal style is boring
We all have our personal tastes, nothing wrong with that
Troll! She/he always has a picture of a piece of wood flooring with skirting attached to her profile name.
Ok
TROLL BEWARE.
You don't have an opinion and are not sorry. You simply hate Angelina and continue to troll her under different aliases.
