This just shows that Red Bull don’t want to equal drivers. They don’t want a driver to compete against Max. You wouldn’t put a driver with less than 10 races experience
Totally agree although, I think Red bull wants a contingency for the scenario that Max does follow through with his proclamation of not wanting to race in F1 forever. But one question does remain, does Yuki realistically have the potential to match Max consistently?
Christian Horner has his reasons, and access to more data than we do, so you could absolutely be right to put Lawson in but like I said, I think in terms of a marketing stand point Lawson's hiring makes no sense but does he deserve the seat? Absolutely.
@ hard to say he deserves the seat after 6 or so races. The team RB he was racing for he didn’t out qualify Tsunoda. He didn’t out point him in the Grand Prix either and Tsunoda has just finished his 4th full season. So you can say he has next to no experience and in the races he had he couldn’t beat his team mate. I’m not saying he is a bad driver. I am saying Horner does not want to have two drivers of similar qualities competing in the same team. He wants to favour max
@ I think the fact at the awards ceremony Max said he wants to continue means he has no thoughts of quitting just yet. He will want to get as close to Hamilton and Schumacher titles if not pass that before he leaves. He will want to try that before Red Bull fall behind again like they did after Vettel 4 world titles. And you never know Tsunoda the flip side to that is Yuki has just finished his 4th full season in F1 racing. Lawson has 6 or so races. So if you go off data and the fact Yuki has out qualified and pointed Lawson which data is telling them Lawson is the better performer. It’s just a personal opinion but it just looks like Horner does not want to drivers capable of winning championships
I honestly don't think Yuki is much better than Lawson. if anything I think Lawson has a higher peak than Yuki since he was pretty close as a rookie to an experienced teammate in Yuki
I think Lawson has proven that he is not willing to bend a knee to anyone regardless of their talent or history we saw it with him basically pissing off the entirety of Latin America
@ bro I am far from being Spanish and from South America .i know you are referring to me . Just remember max verstappen and his father don’t like competition from his team mate . He as the red bull team hanging on his little finger , the whole team is runned by verstappen. If he says to the team and to that old dictator Marko to jump, they will ask how hight.
what an moron
Grammar is yes.
Give the guy a chance - he may prove to be something special!!!
Williams have always been ruthless.
Liam Lawson will end up pissing off Horner and Max before the end of next season
In this scenario I would think we see a repeat of the Gasly-Albon switch
