Sangah, my English is not good enough, so I write by Chinese. 🤩
For a change of scenery, I'm doing homework on my front porch. It is so nice listening to Sangah's beautiful piano in the fresh (but cold) air, sipping the delightfully warm green tea I won in marbles 📚🎶🍵🎶☺️
Wow Sangah....I really enjoyed this set...beautiful versions of "Someone Like You" , "Africa" , "I Dreamed a Dream", really all of them were exceptional! Thank You for sharing these lounge videos....they are quite wonderful...
Every day I have my dinner listen to your videos and beautiful music and I feel like if I’m in the lounge dining and listening to your piano and your great music 👍🎶🎵🍷
Wonderful wonderful Sangah! Do not let it upset you, this education comes from home, and unhappily it exists anywhere and any social class. If I were there, I would enjoy every minute of seeing and hearing you play the piano, I would not even eat .... hehehe ... maybe a coffee ... hehehe ... I loved the repertoire, that of the " Toto "is from my childhood, it was beautiful!
Another great addition to this series Sangah. Your renditions are so superior to any others - as always! Totally agree with your comments above. I can't stand to see children abused, but I think it's important in the name of civility that they be taught manners and respectfulness. To be honest, to show proper respect while your playing, they should keep their voices at a whisper level. But some people are just loud by nature, so what can you do? Ignoring is best I suppose.
Following recently your Channel and love to listen your Improvisationen, it's really awesome. Maybe because I'm piano teacher, singer and Christian too that's why I feel connected to you😍.Be continuesly blessed🙏💖.
Thank you for the music. You played the whole evening... while I cooked, ate, & cleaned up... you're such a sweetheart. Muchas gracias, Hasta luego, enjoy.
I usually don't read the description until I finish listening the entire LoungePiano Live episode, because I enjoy the surprises from your song selection. But I didn't really expect to hear a Taiwanese pop song in your song list 😲 and I had to check the description first to make sure I heard it right.😉 I totally agree with your opinion on public behavior. I was often annoyed by people who just don't care if their children are running wild in restaurant. Sometimes, it bothered me so much that I had to remind the parents of their children's behavior, but it didn't always end well😞
Yay!! I'm so glad you recognized the song! I actually had no idea about the song. I've never heard it, also didn't know it's a Taiwanese's. I found the sheet music randomly, and I thought it could be pretty song before I really played. And my guess was correct! It's a beautiful song! I don't know the lyrics though...! I thought about you maybe know this song..? Yes!!! You knew this!!! Hahah Yes, I totally understand what you said about people in public. Yup, that's what I always feel at there! 😝👍😉
You know what I liked about Fernando? Well, I loved how well you played it, but I noticed something that really made me think...during the choruses, I noticed how your head-bobbing was very spontaneous. Sometimes you started on your left on beat-1, but other times you started on your right on beat-1, and sometimes, you were just kinda freestyle...wow...if I were a psychologist, I might diagnose you with being ambidextrous...some people are conditioned from hs marching band or military drill to always start off beat-1 on the left foot, but you are very flexible and free to feel your music in whatever way you want. I think that is a sign of complete control...not even the odd or even beats can constrain your creative mind, Sangah! The rhythm does not control your mind, but rather your mind controls the rhythm. I'm just so impressed how you can manage so many different things without missing a beat! :-) !!!!!!!
Sangah .... if someone talks too loud ... or especially if there is some playing loudly on their phone .... TALK TO THEM ! ... right from your piano bench. Without hesitation ! TELL THEM ! .... but ever so kindly .... and ever so subtly. ... and cleverly but lowly and slowly transition into Mario Brothers theme. And if they don't pick up on it ... Play it louder .... and... Louder and LOUDER .... and don't stop until they at least acknowledge you. Good practice for you to deal with audiences on your rise to bigger venues. Really. Hahah
Very good song list! I look forward to you doing Africa at home, I love that song! The impolite and rude people bother me too. Whenever I’m watching you, I always wanna tell the people in the background to appreciate what is happening right in front of them. Some people can’t see past themselves and just don’t care. They’re missing out on so many things if they’d get their heads outta their butts and look around and listen lol. Forget about them, I’ll always listen and appreciate you 🤗
That was just one more 'day in life' of a lounge pianist: cutlery sounds, people talking out loud, TV sound, staff doing their work and she's there, even annoyed looks to be just at another place where there's only the piano and her music.
Thank you for sharing your emotions, Sangah. You really are in a "Catch-22" situation (a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions.)...if you say nothing, they continue to be a distraction, even for those other guests who may be trying to enjoy the excellent music. Yet, if you say anything to them, it is taking a risk in going against the club's "bottom line" (revenue dollars) from customers who are paying to be served. When I am in a situation like this, I boil everything down to simple terms, which I know you already have, but here are the "given" facts: 1) There are people in this world who simply do not have "situational awareness". They are not even aware of their behavior because they are simply not good at looking outward...one could call it selfish, but it could also be that they simply were not taught to be considerate of others...they may not even know they are doing it, so try not to take it personally. 2) Not all people appreciate the finer things in life...most musicians who do can go to a recital and enjoy it without keeping a beat on the seat of the person sitting in front of them. Some who like music, will still kick the seat in front of them, but not be aware that it is bothering the person sitting in that seat. 3) There are two basic responses in situations like this, and each response needs to be weighed with two criteria: 3a) If it is a life and death matter where the loud person is endangering someone else, then speaking up will probably not result in being fired. 3b) if it is simply an irritating person, then speaking up could result in being fired. So, it boils down to "self control" and how well you like your job. I know that you could easily get hired on at plenty of clubs, but I also know that you like playing at this one, so it's either: -try to change a person who is probably not going to change, OR -try to ignore them (which is really difficult to do, but not impossible). I see you made it through the night...I would bet that the majority of your subscribers would agree with my take on this. It would be very difficult for me to keep my mouth shut, but I would never be in that situation since I could play piano a hundred times better than I do now and still not hold a candle to your playing, Sangah! :-) Well done, and thanks for sharing with us!! You have a heart for people, which is one of the reasons it hurts when people are inconsiderate. Bless your heart!
Sangah, how disappointing that they were ignorant and did not respect your performance. They don't know how privileged they were to hear you play live, you are not just any pianist! Silly people.
Oh wow!! Thank you so much for your kind words Mellany and MrRick! Well, as a lounge pianist, I determine people by two groups. One is guests and the other one is audience. Absolutely here you guys are audience, especially AMAZING audience! In this episode, there were all guests. Without audience, sometimes it's hard to keep playing. Have you watched La La Land? The pianist guy in the restaurant scene.. I almost cried... Btw, I'm okay even I have 0 audience there because I have you guys here! Always thank you my dear friends! 😉👍
Impressed on yr playing, simple & nice👍🏼💯😍
this is great!
Thank you Sangah ford sharing your talent. God bless You!!!
Should you ever come in Italy, we will surely come to see you!
That would be lovely, right?
