Right on my friend, my 2012 4.8L needs an oil change and I figured it should be simple. But changing the taillight bulb on ‘er shoulda been simple too which turned into a lightbulb, wiring harness and circuit board fiasco. Which your videos helped me greatly with so I can’t thank you enough. Here goes nothing!👋❤️🤣
Great bare bones, work-wise video ! Here's how to reach the [15mm] drain plug - bam. Here's how to get to the filter & remove it - bam. No-nonsense, "I always eat a Denver omelette and wear these socks, whenever I work on a GMC. For Chevy Silverados I have french toast and..." - no one cares, tell me what size wrench I need & don't say "the appropriate size" MANY THANKS !
I have a 2011 Sierra with an 8” lift. I don’t need to lift it one bit. And I know how To do oil changes already, but I wanted to see a video to see the location of the drain plug and the filter. Very informative video, good job!
I was wondering if someone was going to mention that! They are fine if you do regular oil changes! People get all bent out of shape over fiber end caps. If you know anything about adhesive's and bonding fiber media and fiber end caps, you would know they are strong enough for regular oil changes 4 or 5,000miles or 6 months.
2010 GMC just picked one up, now to change the oil !

before i attempt this, was there many people here who got the oil filter off without a tool?
The area where the filter is, is very tight. Hard to get a good grip without a proper tool.
Is bad if you put synthetic oil on gmc 08
