I was too lazy to run to the store to rent the tension rod kit so I jacked up my front passenger side and placed two jack stands. You can have a smaller breaker bar or socket wrench that'll fit from the bottom and then I put a big wrench on the handle connected to the tension bolt which I was able to push with my foot and shimmy the belt off. Repeated the same method to get the belt back on. Had to wrestle it a bit but it wasn't too bad. I'd recommend ordering the little plastic clip that opens to the nut holding the connector to the battery because the bottom part on mine basically fell apart.
Thankyou sir Perfect content. Liked , subscribed
Absolutely great video, this helped me to do my in-law’s brakes. One thing though - I believe the 17mm are 54 ft lb and it’s the lugs that are 80ft lbs. Thank you for doing what you do!
Did you leave the black wire hooked up to the red wire
Can you please help me locate or how to install engine block heater for 2022 1500 silverado refresh?
Perfect refresher video. Haven't changed the oil in a couples years and didn't feel like looking around for the oil filter. Straight to business in this video. Thanks man
I thought I read something somewhere (sorry, don't remember where) that stated that after you take out the transmission drain bolt there is another bolt (removed with a hex key) above it inside the transmission that will then allow a few more quarts of fluid to drain. Is this info correct?
Airbag was only 4 bolts and extremely easy to remove, it may be possible to reach without removing but its the only way i could get to it. Other than that great video thanks!
I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate your help. My truck lost all power. The remote was completely out and I had nothing on in my truck. If you are looking at this video, go straight to your truck and check the white connector by the parking brake. Mine was slightly unclipped. I did just like you instructed. I put the key fob in the ignition module, turned it to the on position and started wiggling the connector. It took me a minute to understand exactly what you were saying but once it was inserted properly I heard the instruments activate and was able to start my truck (2014 Dodge Ram 1500 V6). The check engine light was on so I took it to a local shop and they just needed to clear the codes. This cost me a couple pizzas for the guys at the shop. They didn’t ask for anything. I just wanted to show them my appreciation for them running a diagnostic. Excellent! You really helped me out. I subscribed to your TH-cam channel and if you ever decide to have the join option, I will definitely subscribe. Thanks again for your help.
thank you god bless you
That belt drawing saved my bacon, thank you so much sir!
What a weird place to put it. 2007 and earlier had the filter behind the glove box. Not a big difference in either car, don't understand the reasoning?
Thank you ,your video was clear and very helpful
Hi can you show us how to change the transmission oil on this vehicle? :)
Thank you!
U need to move ur ect sensor to ur other head other wise u will have a code.
UNFORTUNATELY THE 2019 IS NOT NEARLY AS EASY TO REPLACE THE BULB….
Got mine today. Before I installed it i plugged it in and it doesn’t work? Does it take a long time to warm up?
Very good work!!!
Thank you for your comment.
I didn’t put the parking brake I miss that part but no light come on so I guess everything went well
fingers crossed for you. Hopefully you got lucky.
Will most scan tools have this option? Or do you know of an economical one that would work? Perhaps on Amazon or something?
Thanks for the question. Yes, most updated scan tools should have this function. Code readers will not be able to do this.
You forgot to replace the caliper rubber bushings...
What about changing the CVT filter ?
Thank you brother
Good video, I have a 2018 murano , and when I tryed to change the filter myself it was virtually impossible for me to complete !, I watched tons of videos yours was about the best , it would have been awesome to see you actually insert the filter from start to finish but like you said there is limited space and is very difficult to do this replacement filter I'm in my 60s and can not contort my body like a circus freak 😅 anymore ! Lol , I don't know what the designers were thinking !?, that's it ! , they weren't thinking and didn't care about the mechanics or owners that would have to change this part down the road when it was time for replacement !, Nissan wants over two hundred dollars for this job and it's really a shame and sad customers like me have to pay that much for a simple filter replacement! I miss the 70s era cars so much cause you could have done any repair yourself and at a reasonable price 😢 oh man the good old days !
Love Canada Merci Québec 😅
I got power but no crank no start just click click
Is there a crush washer underneath the shouler of the oil drain bolt?
2010 GMC just picked one up, now to change the oil !
Yeah dare ehh. Holy wah!
Very good video. Thanks! For removal of the ac-compressor bolts a normal socket and ratchet are too big to fit. I had to buy an E12 with a flexible socket attached to the handle. Worked nicely. For loosening the belt I used a short 15mm wrench and an extra hydraulic lift for the necessary pressure, otherwise there’s not enough leverage. The whole job is a major PITA. So this video helps a lot!
@@Hossomat thank you for sharing your experience with doing this job. I’m glad it helped you.
Thanks for not showing how it snaps on. Not helpful at all.
@@shyguy8308 I’m sorry but how what snaps on”?
if your talking about the cable it just pushes into the heater... its a electrical plug. Nothing special.
how much is to replace it
Sorry boss can't like your video..Drop the pan and clean the magnets and pan as well..Always debris stuck on the magnets..Bad job boss!!
@@nicholashrisikopoulos1382 debris from what? You know this is a CVT transmission right? It doesn’t have clutch packs. Go to any Nissan dealer and ask them if they “ drop the pan and clean the magnet “ when they do transmission fluid change. Thanks for watching.
a 19 and half minute video which should only be 1 minute. Twist the bulb, disconnect from connector and insert new bulb. Done!
@@geftiler2112 did you watch all of it?
@@jaythemechanic4950 it took me one minute each side to install the headlight bulb. No need for a 19 minute video.
Thank you for the Phenomenal Video. I had a VERY odd problem and kept going back and forth with the wife telling her the damn battery is fine lol. Long story short i left key in ignition, killed battery then the exact symptoms you had showed up after charging battery. I removed positive and negative connections for 30 minutes and put them back on and truck started right up but idled at 1100rpm and sounded rough and wouldn't go down on RPM. I took it for a spin and had NOTHING at the gas pedal so i had to coast around the neighborhood then put it in neutral to coast back into driveway. Put it in park and it sounded terrible. Shut it down and knew to look at the WHITE PLUG under steering wheel. I was thinking it was loose as i had already verified all fuses were good. SURE ENOUGH WHITE PLUG UNPLUGGED (LOOSE). clipped it back tight and truck started back up but now IDLES CORRECTLY and i have it feeling normal again! GREATLY APPRECIATED for the detailed video and multiple tips! Keep up the great work!
@@stan6132 thank you for watching. I’m glad it helped you
thank you saved many hours and dealer charges because i was at my wits end
Folks, I could not find that day-m socket to remove the alternator idler ANYWHERE. I tried Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, Advance Auto, Autozone, ORileys, and even WalMart. NOTHING. This is pure BS. Why in the "aych" did VW engineers do this? If I manage to get these cockamamie triple square bolts out, I will NOT be putting them back in. This persecution is enough to make me NEVER buy another VW product.
@@tomfischer2190 have you seen their commercials lately? 😄😄
Awesome no frills video! Thanks
What the hell happened to this car.. Looks like it was outside and untouched for months... maybe yrs!!
Haha. No. This is the infamous Canadian winter road salt. That’s what it looks like when you drive on the highway after a winter storm
@jaythemechanic4950 ohhh, gotcha. We have two 2014 Mazda2s. Two son's..two Mazda2s. They love them! But here in Texas, they survive the winters very well.
@@jaythemechanic4950 🤣
Key stuck in the ignition? Wow. Folks go buy a Toyota. . I have owned Tundras for 20+ years and they never , ever broke down or failed to start. Ever. The more I watch these Ram videos, the more I advise friends and family not to buy them.
Great video, going for my first diy for this on mine.
thank you so much it's helpful, looking for more video on 2014 - 2019 Lexus IS 250
Great explanation!
That was way over tightened. It must be torqued or you will crack the housing.
The pan should be pulled and the internal filter should be replaced to
My 2020 Rogue has 38 thousand miles on her my CVT has been done 2 times already. The dealership says 10-15 thousand miles
@@mikebianco7854 I think that’s excessive. CVT Oil is very durable and can last a lot longer then 10-15 thousand miles.
Ah, the Nissan cabin filter, a true test of human patience and flexibility. It's almost as if they held a company-wide contest to find the most inconvenient place possible, and boy, did they succeed!
It would be nice to have a video showing how to change the oil that's in the torque.
@@francoiscote4461 the only way to do that is either you take the transmission out or you change the oil several times over a short period of time
I did exactly what was done in this video. Why is the engine idling weird??? Like it feels like it wants to stall but doesn’t
