Spraying with the NEOECO NCT SJ83

- NEOECO NCT-SJ83R two stage airbrush.
The fine people at NEOECO asked if I would try their new NCT-SJ83 airbrush and let them know what I thought about it. Well, I think it’s a great airbrush. I used it today and it did very well. I sprayed all Tamiya’s paint, using Flat Black, Dark Yellow, and Titanium Gold. It did well with all three. It was easy to handle and sprayed very nicely. I expected that from the NEOECO team, but I didn’t expect it to clean as nicely as it did. It comes apart easily (NO TOOLS NEEDED) and cleaned quickly. I wasn’t sure about that anodized aluminum cup, but it cleaned great.
I have nothing bad to say about this new airbrush. They did a fantastic job with all the upgrades.
I jumped on Amazon and got the link for everyone. At the day of the posting this airbrush kit was $39.99. I feel that is an excellent price for someone just getting into airbrushing, but the features are worth looking at even if you have a few laying around the desk.

Great vid..got my neoeco 3week ago..went from xdovet to master g22 and now neoeco..doesn't seem to like spraying extreme sheen metallic to well but other than that I am digging how it sprays. Gonna be my go,to till I can afford 1 of the top 3 brands! Painted auto collision for 25+ yrs. Iwata was my gun, sata was ok for me but didn't really fit my style of painting..kinda wasted $$ trying to find a gun that works for ME. So for this neoeco is a good fit..thx for the videos helps safe some bucks instead of just buying another gun HOPEING it's a fit! Would love to be able to spray a few things before purchasing new gun but it just doesn't work out that way "as far as I know " to sample a gun 1st ,like a test drive! Happy with the neoeco right now though. Thx again and looking forward to seeing more videos 👊🏻

Thank you. Heck yeah, I've done some great stuff with my Neoeco. I would never talk bad about it. And like you said at forty bucks you can't beat it.

Looks like it sprayed pretty efficiently and had a nice pattern. Good buy for the money I’d say.
I am happy with how it sprayed, but even more happy with how it cleaned. It's a lot easier to maintain than my other one.

Nice video, Mark. Looks like it's working as expected, good job. I airbrushed on video once, and swore I'd never do it again. I was paying more attention to recording it than my painting. Fortunately, it was only a brass caboose and it came out OK. LOL
LOL. You should have seen how bad the cleaning video was. I need to get a mount for my visor.
Or a production crew. Makes me appreciate cooking shows. 😄
LOL. I have a grilling channel, and it's easier to film that than spraying.

That does suck. I am chomping at the bit to see an update on the Aerovette. That is such an off the wall car. Very cool.
At what PSI was that compressor running and what PSI do you use with your big compressor
The NEOECO compressor runs on high at 20 psi. I run my large compressor at 20 also. The NEOECO did not spray my Vallejo primer at all. I used 25 psi to spray that, and the 20 just didn't move it. One more thing, the NEOECO does have 3 settings with 20 being the highest. Not sure what the other two's pressure are.
How did clean up effect the color in the color cup meaning the red??
I sprayed three different colors and it cleaned up just like new. Nothing stuck to the cup at all.
Can this spray pearl paint or mica powder
I do not know that. I've never tried.

Looks like an excellent airbrush for the price. I'll be watching for your cleaning video also. Just curious, what is the advantage of using the Tamiya retarder?
Thanks I should have one out soon. The Tamiya retarder slows down the paint's drying time and let's it flow just a little longer once it hits the model. I think it's helped me so much since I started using it with the Tamiya thinner.
