All in all, it looks like a decent airbrush. I'll give it a try. I'm 70 years old and on a very limited income. I do enjoy modeling and it keeps me out of trouble. I'm disabled and I really don't get into trouble but you just never know. So this is now my hobby. Loved the video! Well done!

Thanks Stephen - it's a good brush for the price. Enjoy and thanks for tuning in!

I have this and the 81 from Neoeco. I absolutely love this airbrush and used the range of needles and tips it came with. I must admit I primarily use both the .2 and .5 needles in it since I also have a Badger Renegade that has a .3 in it. I’ve shot Tamiya acrylics, Vallejo Air color, futura and Mr Color Super clear Gloss III thinned with Mr Color leveling thinner through this model airbrush without issue. The Mr color gave me a much more wet looking and smooth clear coat with this airbrush than I ever had with the Renegade; I was very pleased with the results. Getting used to the Mac valve in addition to setting the compressor at the correct bar/PSI does take some getting used to. I always spray a test on a spoon to check my setup before applying to the model. I too remove the cap and spray without it. I can do lots of preshading with the .2 needle in this airbrush just takes practice. Good job on the video!

Thanks very much for the feedback- it helps when I hear from someone having similar experiences with this airbrush. I plan on using it much more in the coming weeks. And thanks for watching!

I like this brush so much I now have 4. Good price and if you polish the needle the spray is better and the cleanup easier.

Hi John, that airbrush seems to be a good buy, for $40 you can't expect too much, not certain what it would cost here in Australia, as long as parts are easy to get, I hope to get a lot more modelling done after next Wednesday 11th, as that will be my last ever shift at work, take care and best regards from Australia to you and Mrs G, 👌👍👌👍👌👍

Hi Les - congratulations on your pending retirement! I've been retired from my first job for 16 years now, and I'm working on a second (albeit smaller) pension. The Neoeco is good for the money - three needles and extra cups. A good general purpose brush. Always good to hear from you.

Be advised- the cockpit is truly the weak point for an otherwise good kit. Let me know how it goes and thanks for watching!

I purchased this airbrush a few months ago. I am still learning its quirks. I did manage to bend the .2mm needle. I love the quick disconnect. I also have it on my Iwata Neo. overall it appears to be a good budget airbrush.

Thanks very much Boyd! That Fujimi kit would have been great with a slightly better cockpit.

Airbrushes of this ilk have their place. That's all I'll say 😊

Completely agree Lee. Especially for the beginner. I got my start with a $32 airbrush and it served me well. Good to hear from you!

I enjoyed this video, and will probably order this airbrush. As a small aside I have been using Iwatas for 30+ years, and their (in my opinion) far better rival Rich Pen. I started using these "cheap" airbrushes about 10 years ago-I have found them reliable, easy to maintain and durable. The parts are readily available, especially the needles and nozzle assemblies. They all appear to use the same parts regardless of marque. By contrast the most simple of spare part for my Iwatas costs as much as an entire airbrush, and the quality is NOT always superior with the Japanese brushes now.Used to be,but not now.

Greetings from Canada. Great job. I wonder if the reason why the tip cap is drying is due to the fact it appears to be slotted?

    • @MisterGsWorkbench
      @MisterGsWorkbench  ปีที่แล้ว

I wondered that myself. I knew my mix was good but the primer kept collecting on the cap lip. I think that cap tip is best used to protect the needle. Thanks for watching!

Hello John, thanks for the review. Do you know, if this Neoeco is from the Fengda airbrush factory, they produce next to their own Fengda branded brushes also a lot of rebranded ones. This Fujimi A6M2 zero dates back from 1972 and is now over 51 years old. Did you polish the needles of the Neoeco, before using it ? Many say that it improves how your airbrush sprays the paint (they even recommend polishing the needles of professional brands like Iwata and Harder & Steenbeck). Greetings cees

I'm honestly not sure where this brush was manufactured- Neoeco sent it to me after we exchanged a couple of emails. I should have polished the needles, and I still might have to do that. I'm still using it regularly and enjoying it. It's a good brush for the price! Thanks for your information and thanks for watching!

Curious to hear your thoughts on the potential longevity of the airbrush. I've had some cheap airbrushes in the past that didn't last very long.

I'm no expert but I was impressed that the manufacturer provided replacement gaskets and o rings. The body of the airbrush is polished and sturdy. Honestly, for $40 I feel it's a good value given what's in the box. Appreciate you watching!
