Great review, Its good to see more coverage of this handbrake. It was on my buy list until WRC proved to be so disappointing. Still would like to pick one up but I need a game worthy of it.
Holy crap this looks amazing, I'm just getting into building my 1st sim setup. I knew there was a lot of stuff out there, and I knew there was a lot of stuff that isn't cheap. But until I started to research a few weeks ago. I really thought I could have a full setup for $2k LOL While that's definitely possible, it's definitely not possible when you want this break, the P1000 pedals with all the upgrades, a mid level base, a few mid level wheels for different race types. Oh and some sort of aluminum rig with a bucket seat. I'm at $1,500 of a 2k budget with only a base and wheel lol. I don't even drift and I was pretty terrible at the few rally games I've played. But I need this on my rig just for how it looks.
This is the 4th handbrake I have owned. No question that I prefer the hydraulic feel. I drive mostly rally titles. My next favorite is the VNM. Take a pass on Huesinkveld and Fanatec handbrakes.
I purchased it a week ago, and I have a problem When I drag and release the handbreak, it gradually decreases slowly from 7% to 0% within 4 seconds. Why not get to 0% quickly? Is there a manufacturing defect or is there something else I didn't do?
Shaun, check out Sim-Labs offering, I've one of their XB1 loadcell handbrakes, less than £200 and far superior to the likes of Fanatec's cheaper offering. I'm loving this handbrake, super nice to use and doesn't have too much throw, I find the handbrake needs to be the least sophisticated of any peripheral really, all it's ever doing is locking up rear wheels, a more on off rather than analogue....
@@SIMRIG412 indeed it does blow the Sim-Labs out of the water, was providing info on an alternative cheaper offering, an inbetweener lol I'm kinda filling in a gap with regards to pricing more than anything, not all would go to this extent on a hb tbf, regarding Sim-Labs lower priced offering, the connector itself isn't an issue for me, it's connector location at the rear is what bothers me more so. Actual mounting is an issue as well as well as no ability to change the orientation of the hb. I'm running an Aiologs seq and Fanatec H pattern and it's a clutter nightmare. The performance of it makes up for the gripes though. I've spent far too much money on this sim hobby, I can't justify spending that amount of money on a hb, the least important of all peripherals imho....
I know they offer a couple of different options for grips, but does anyone know if you can throw some ODI lock on grips on this beast? I'm in the market for a handbrake and Im thinking about balling out and grabbing one of these in the future. Such a nice piece.
Looks like a quality piece of kit! That would actually be a great series for you Shaun! Shaun learns to drift!
Awesome Shaun…. Have been filling and learning from you since 2015
I replaced the soft handle with the simagic long handle from the sequential shifter! Now I love it even more!!!

I own this and love it! Got it as a Christmas present
This is one of those pieces that I wouldn’t buy with my own money, but am glad it exists haha
Now you will have to get simagic hydraulic throttle add on for p1000 pedals. Will be releasing in February

Awsome review. Love the channel 🏁🏁
Glad you enjoy it!
Shaun, you called this a shifter about 10 times.😂
Good morning, good afternoon and good night
I would like to know how you installed the Simagic P-HPR (haptic) on the Simagic TB-RS Hydraulic Handbrake
It has mounting points for it.

You haven’t calibrated it, add some deadzone at the low end.
@@aaronperelmuter8433 The problem was with the P-HYS, I spoke with support and they were really nice and sent me one for free

Has a cheap connection to it though for the price. Simlabs doesn’t make all great products! Also this handbrake blows the simlabs out of the water!

You’ve obviously done very little drifting or rally driving if you think a handbrake is used like a switch… smh 🤪🤪
I'm in love

Such a nice piece.
You can throw on any grip as long as it fits the standard thread or you have an M12 x 1.25 adapter .
@@codyrunsfast1 great, but ODI lock ons are handle bar grips for bikes, Im wondering if one could be used on this.
@@mikehunt7857 oh, I have no idea then.
