Hi Mike, I totally agree with there "being no magic tricks" whatsoever. One needs to commit to quality workings, period. Besides, I'm glad that you talked about "order cancellations" in this video. To that end, I want to ask something that has been bothering me for some time now. Although I mention in my gig description that I'd prefer having a profound discussion before we can start the order, some buyers place the orders directly and that's perfectly fine until they lay out their requirements as per the attached questionnaire. Even if they don't, I do tend to engage in the conversation as much as I can because I believe that a quality delivery entails sound communication. However, at times, the buyers don't engage much (negligible) and I'm left with incomplete information to proceed with. In that case, there are two things running on the top of my mind. First off, the delivery might not be per expectations and a negative review might be knocking on the door. Second, should I cancel the order. The latter, in all honesty, is an implausible option and for all the reasons that you have described above. The former is a 50-50 scenario. So, how as an experienced seller do you tackle these situations or perhaps work your way out for the good?
In situations where I feel like I don’t have enough information to complete the order, the only path forward is to ask the client to fill in the gaps. As a copywriter, a lot of the times clients don’t know what they don’t know. They might know that they need an SEO article, but they might have no idea what should be in that article to accomplish their goals. So this is where I personally spend a lot of time structuring my requirements questions in a way that eliminate as much doubt as possible on my end, and if there is still doubt after they submit them back to me I’ll just send them a message asking to clarify certain things.
Good video as always! If fact this is probably the most right-on opinion of the Fiverr algorithm. I have been told by Fiverr support that they tweak and change the algorithm regularly so that it can’t be beaten or figured out. What seems to work this week or month doesn’t work the next. The people who manage the platform seem much more hands-on that you would think, which I actually think is a good thing.👍🏼 Thanks again for a good video, Mike!
That’s very interesting I didn’t know that. But what I do know is that a lot of people have the wrong idea, “set it and forget it” isn’t always the best approach. Anyways, happy to hear this was helpful!
I'm really enjoying learning from you, also I learned many things from you. By the way, did you do a voice-over in this video? Take love from Bangladesh.
Hi Mike. I had a bad review from a buyer back in mid Feb 2021. Since then my all gigs are deranked. I have done all possible efforts to get back to 1st page including changing descriptions, thumbnails and even added videos but all in vain as yet. Can you give me your expert advice to get ranked again?
Honestly, you can’t change the fact that you did poorly on that order back in February. So what I would focus on if I were you is to ensure that every future order you get you are delivering 100% top quality work. That way you can increase the chances of getting better ratings, because at the end of the day, fiverr doesn’t want to promote gigs that get poor ratings. Hope this helps!
I’ve only recently heard about that program (and haven’t tried it myself). I think that as long as you have the fundamentals down pat (a good profile, well made gigs, and a service that offers real value) it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot
Hi Mike, how are you? I don't know if you remember me but you made a video about one of my illustration gigs a couple of months ago. I wanted to thank you because your tips have really helped me a lot, although the gig you made a video about I paused it because it's not exactly what I do anymore, I'm still doing other kind of illustrations and applying your tips these months I've had good results. Between February and so far this month I have had about 600$ of profit. Also, thanks to your advice my gig has had 6k impressions, however another of my gig was somewhat stagnant, it is practically the same service, will that have something to do with it? I have been very careful, but I have noticed that there are clients who want different results than the ones you show in your profile, this has generated fear in me, usually these clients don't leave reviews.
Hello Mike, Recently I’ve demoted level 1 to no level. The reason was I tried to publish a gig(Twice) and received ToS violations. How do I get back to my previous status? Kindly seeking your advice..
Hi Mike, been following your videos from quite some time. My gig used to have 2k impressions and all of a sudden it dropped. I am still on the first page, but i am having problem to get impressions for my gig. Do you know what should i do? I also changed the gig, update keywords accordingly, promote my gig for 10 15 days, but still it's not coming back to the track. Would appreciate your help.
It’s kind of impossible for me to say without knowing why it dropped. If nothings changed, no negative reviews or anything like that I’d maybe give it some more time to see if it bounces back like if this is a seasonal thing or some other external factor might be affecting it
@@MikeNardiTV yes Because mostly sellers just tell about them but doesn't show how to do that if you make a full video or playlists and shows the gig is ranking
