Great interview with a very important musician. I don’t hear Brubeck “struggling” to answer questions. He merely took the time to give well considered, well thought out responses. That approach often leads to more substantive statements, instead of just instantly spewing out tired old cliches like many people do.

This is a treat and a blessing. I haven't run into any tech problems yet. If they're still there, I hope you can fix them. Brubeck was that rare thing, a great man as well as a great musician. Thank you for doing this.

Sound cuts out for me at 22:27. Anyone else notice this? Great interview up to that point.

Dave Brubeck was recognized with the National Medal of the Arts, of course. But he should have Received the Presidential Medal of Freedom wor his dedication to the cause of ending racial discrimination. I was a fan of the DBQ, but I never knew of his efforts to help integrate music until much later.

I don’t like the way the interviewer keeps interrupting Dave in the middle of an answer and then asks him an unrelated question. Very annoying. 🤦
